On this podcast episode we're going over Marvel's ' Jessica Jones' TV show that originally aired on Netflix back in November 2015. If you're like me then I had no prior knowledge of the 'Jessica Jones' character before watching this series. I honestly thought this was not going to be a superhero show in the beginning but thankfully I was proven wrong! Then after listening to this podcast episode let me know - is it "big jumping" or "guided falling" for 'Jessica Jones.'This a series of me reviewing the first episodes of the previously Netflix Marvel TV shows and seeing if the episodes hook me into the respective show or not. This is all in preparation for watching Marvel's 'Moon Knight' which premieres on Wednesday, March 30th on the Disney+ streaming network.Marvel's Jessica JonesA chronicle of the life of one of the darker Marvel characters, the mysterious Jessica Jones. When a tragedy puts an end to her short-lived career as a superhero, Jessica settles in New York City and opens her own detective agency, called Alias Investigations, which seems to be called into cases involving people who have special abilities. Suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome, Jessica wants to do good, but her primary interest isn't in saving the world, it's saving her apartment and getting through each day. Based on a graphic novel intended for adults, this is not a superhero story for the kids.First episode date: November 20, 2015Created byMelissa RosenbergCastKrysten RitterDavid TennantRachael TaylorMike ColterCarrie-Anne MossEka DarvilleErin MoriartyWil TravalSusie Abromeit

I wish this wasn't the last season of the Defenders but here's our Jessica Jones 305 Review. We discuss our Top 5 Case Notes about AKA I Wish, the fifth episode of Season 3. Holtham Directed by : Mairzee Almas Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) and Jessica Jones (Kristen Ritter) come to an uneasy agreement to work together to stakeout Gregory Sallinger’s (Jeremy Bobb) apartment as Jessica needs an anonymous person to help track him. Meanwhile, with the release of damaging information, Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) miscalculates her attack on Kith’s husband Peter (John Benjamin Hickey). He blames her for Kith (Sarita Choudhury) walking out on him and then exposes Hogarth and Associates as protectors to superhuman vigilantes before taking his life. As Jeri lays low in her home and Kith distances herself from Jeri, Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville) begins to realise his part in the death of Peter Lyonne. Back at Alias Investigations, with the help of Gillian’s (Aneesh Sheth) insightful mind, Trish and Jessica compare notes and grizzly photographs taken from Sallinger’s apartment and realise that he has been slowly murdering people over a 10-year period. With the help of (a less insightful) severed hand borrowed from the morgue and thrown through Sallinger’s apartment window they discover he has been storing the severed bodies of his victims in a tanker by the railway tracks. As Jessica and Trish follow him to his body hideout, Sallinger flips their trap. It almost costs Jessica her life but Trish comes to the rescue as she chooses to save her sister instead of following her target. Having escaped capture Gregory Sallinger goes after his next victim, burger maker extraordinaire and Jessica’s new distraction, Erik Gelden (Benjamin Walker). Welcome the newest episode of Dark Discussions, your place for the discussion of horror film, fiction, and all that’s fantastic. As folks know, Marvel’s extensive universe includes comics, movies, and television shows. Specifically the Marvel Cinematic Universe for television (or simply Marvel Television) includes a number of shows that seem to cross over multiple networks. But Netflix has a handful that includes a group of characters that have become the superhero team, The Defenders. One such character, Jessica Jones, is an interesting personality as her comic back-story includes being an ex-superhero who now decides to do private eye work. Though having super strength, Jessica Jones chooses to work for Alias Investigations, her one-woman outfit that habitually works on extramarital affair cases. Helping her along, she has her sister, Trish Walker, a former child starlet which now officiates an investigative radio talk show. During the two seasons of the show, people who have haunted Jessica return to cause havoc not only within her own life but throughout New York City. Jessica must use her investigating instincts to stop the antagonists while also keeping her own personal demons in check. Krysten Ritter, best known prior for her role in Breaking Bad, stars as the eponymous lead. The show brings this lesser known Marvel character to the screen with mostly positive reviews. The 22 episodes include large supporting roles by known talent including Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Rebecca De Mornay, and David Tennant. Dark Discussions Podcast takes a look at this unconventional “superhero” show and gives their thoughts. As always we welcome your comments: darkdiscussions@aol.com (written email or attached mp3 files) WWW.DARKDISCUSSIONS.COM

In this week's ball-surveilling (because "ball-sodomizing" wouldn't make any sense) episode, Magnus gabs about Alias, the once-forgotten-but-now-coming-to-a-Netflix-channel-near-you property starring Jessica Jones. Up for discussion this time around is Alias Investigations, the opening salvo in the Alias ongoing title. For being a MAX title, it's strange to think how much of this series ended up getting incorporated into mainstream Marvel continuity. I assume page 11 of the first issue is included in that. What a sticky situation, eh? You see, this episode marks the first chapter of a five part megaseries about Women in Comics. Comics concerning other female characters are coming soon. After finishing up the Alias discussion, Magnus then gabs about Views from the Longbox episode 203: Eight Years and Holding. Apart from being an awesome episode of Bailey's show, it's a chance for His Excellency to kick some awesome science onto the unwashed masses' asses regarding where the Fanboy Muse has taken comic book-reading currently. Is that enough hype yet? If not, and for those of you who are determined to ruin the Internet for everyone else by perpetuating click-bait on Facebook, "You won't believe how many sodomy jokes His Excellency makes before the 20 minute mark!" Because of all the comic book awesomeness, Bailey awesomeness and more comic book awesomeness, there's just no time for listener feedback this week. But that shouldn't discourage you from offering your feeble attempt at tribute! The rest of you humble serfs are always welcome to pay your feeble attempts at homage to your leader. DiManzocorp interns are ready, willing, able and eager to accept bribes to present your meager missives to your wise leader. The email address to use is trentusmagnus@gmail.com, whereupon your leader might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise! In an another sublime act of unprecedented charity, the leader permits you lowly rabble to kiss his ring regarding this or any other episode. Thus, notes of loyalty may be sent to trentusmagnus@gmail.com for DiManzocorp interns to review. Again, listener feedback should be sent to trentusmagnus@gmail.com since the other email address is having trouble right now.
