Tonight we take up two final considerations as we build a better habit of prayer. First, how to pray for faithful laborers from Matthew 9:35-38; then, how to develop a meaningful prayer life.

In eight letters of Paul, the apostle identifies at least 5 prayer requests he makes of the churches. We can improve how we pray for others when we pray for others as Paul wanted others to pray for him.

Colossians 1:9-11 offers four categories for praying for the spiritual well-being of other believers.

In Romans 1:8-15 Paul described the way in which he prayed for the church in Rome. Paul’s prayer in this text gives us a good example of how he prays for churches – a mixture of gratitude to God for the work of the church and a desire for the work to continue.
