You’d be hard-pressed to find a musician as authentic as Richard Lynch, whose traditional country music fully embodies his hay-raising, farm-dwelling lifestyle. An all-American, blue collar country man, Lynch has poured his heart and soul into the countless chart-topping hits he and his band have produced. His music is 100% real country, evoking some of the great classics who influenced him, like Keith Whitley. Conway Twitty, and George Strait. For three decades and counting, Lynch has written, sung, and performed his songs with passion and dedication, building himself up into an independent country music sensation. While his musical roots are grounded in pure country, his songs also showcase elements of western swing, honky tonk and outlaw country. Living the life he sings about is what gives Richard Lynch the edge as a singer/songwriter. Richard is a hard working, personification of pure country. He has been a designer and builder of amazing barns, and as should be expected, he is an American farmer. His everyday life and paying his musical dues by performing at 100's of events & shows a year, all across the country, is that which shaped him into a one-of-a-kind performer. Richard's style is true and it carries into his live shows. Much like his music alone, a live performance of the Richard Lynch Band is something you feel. It's something you carry with you when you walk away. If country music is a gift that sustains in our lives wherever we go, Richard Lynch is the messenger. Lynch, based in Waynesville, Ohio, released his first full-length album, The Last of A Dying Breed, in 2013, and was nominated as Best Male Country Artist by the Independent Country Music Association in 2014. His most recent album is, a 12-track production that garnered critical acclaim, particularly for its first single and title track “ A Better Place”. The Lynch album was named the Pure Country Album of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists, while Lynch was declared Humanitarian of the Year, and his band named the Traditional Country Band of the Year at the 2015 Josie Awards. A Better Place was produced by renowned songwriter Billy Yates, and features the work of several talented musicians who have previously worked with artists including Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, and Reba McEntire. In September Richard was named The 2017 Josie Awards Country Entertainer of The Year. Also, his self penned "We're American Proud" was named Song of The Year for Songs Saluting America. Recently Richard recorded a duet with country star Ronnie McDowell. The single, “Love Tattoo” is a moving tribute to our military veterans. The was released to rave reviews in January. Richard released his third studio album on April 1st, on Fence Row Records and he is already climbing the major radio charts. "Mending Fences" is an incredible 12 track project of pure country music. The title track, written by Lesley McDaniel, Fost Daniel, Jesse Daniel and Nick Hall is an outstanding example of what country music was meant to be. Like all great country songs, it comes with a story; "Good luck on the new album Richard. Mending Fences isn't the product of a fancy writer's room on music row. It was written in a barn, on an extremely cold northeast Alabama morning while sitting around an old homemade wood burning barrel heater. It's a legitimate country song and me and my co-writers are glad it found a legitimate country singer"........... Writer Nick Hall "Mending Fences" also includes a stunning, heart felt duet with the amazing Rhonda Vincent. On May 25, 2019 Lynch released his fourth studio album to rave reviews around the world. This release consists of twelve self-penned and stunning pure country tracks. One very special track is Another Honky Tonk Song which is classic country and features a duet with the amazing Leona Williams. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/pressplayinspired/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pressplayinspired/support

Hit Songwriter, Producer & Performing Artist, Billy Yates “does his rockin' on the stage”! The healing power of music is Billy Yates' ministry & with songs recorded by George Jones, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans & more, plus two concurrent shows in Branson, he stays busy evangelizin'. I had the privilege of connecting with Billy for a conversation & impromptu guerrilla style video shoot between his shows - the powerhouse Raiding the Country Vault concert & the more intimate Hit Songwriters in the Round. It was awesome to sit with him while he performed some of his hit songs in the theater setting before the crowd arrived. He shares his insights regarding our human vulnerabilities & how songs provide a vehicle to alleviate loneliness & suffering as well as lifting us into joy. Be sure to catch the moment when, during the Raiding the Country Vault concert, I knew I had to have him on The Naked Vibes Show! Enjoy the show on NAKED VIBES TV: SHOW NOTES (times are for audio): 4:33 - Billy Yates talks about moving to Nashville to pursue his dream of being a singer, finding great songwriters to mentor him, & recording his first song that was eventually recorded by George Jones. 5:03 - LIVE ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE: Billy Yates plays the intro to “I Don't Need Your Rockin' Chair”, recorded by George Jones. The song won a CMA Event of the Year. 5:57 - “I do my rockin' on the stage” is one of my favorite lines from this song. The song became an anthem, not only for Jones, but for many of his older fans who intended to keep livin' large! George Foreman was a huge fan & appeared in a video for the song. 6:38 - Julia Cameron talks about, in The Artist's Way, the importance of starting anything you desire to do at any age. It's never too late! 7:18 - Billy Yates' show is about to start at his theater, where we're recording, so there's a lot of activity in the room. He talks about the evolution of becoming a songwriter in Nashville by singing on song demoes for other writers. They encouraged him on the value of his gift for phrasing. He had to learn the craft to tap into his skill for writing lyrics & melodies. 9:04 - Frank Dycus & Dean Dillon were instrumental in Billy's development as a songwriter. He's written & recorded many songs with them & says he most enjoys the friendships & feels like it's therapeutic to collaborate, putting a puzzle together with others & having fun in the process. 10:09 - Billy talks about the inception of the creative process as a gift from God. He's dreamed complete songs - when he wakes up & records them, he knows it's coming from something beyond him. 11:11 - Music is healing. We don't think about how important it is to our lives. Songs help us to feel less alone, uplift us when we're down, & often teach us to see ourselves. 11:45 - Billy Yates likes writing from a first person perspective because it helps the listener connect with the artist. He knew his song “Choices” had to be recorded by someone who could really own it & allow themselves to be very vulnerable in performing it. George Jones made it a hit. 12:34 - All human beings have the same experiences - pain, joy, hardship, love - even though they may come in different shades. This is how even the solo writing experience becomes collaborative with the recording artist, making it their own by bringing their personal experiences & emotions to it. 13:23 - “Choices” was written Billy Yates with Mike Curtis, a great piano player & melody writer. He was coming to Billy's house to write & Billy didn't have a piano. Billy told him, “We've got three chords & the truth; that's all we've got today!” Though they didn't have George Jones in mind when writing the song, they eventually approached him with it because Billy felt like it was a song that offered healing. 14:00 - Billy knew the song would eventually find its way to the right artist. It took some time before it was recorded. When he was touring with Alan Jackson,

Compiling a long list of hits and chart toppers in the traditional country world, Richard Lynch is an award-winning American country music artist, reminiscent of the classics that started it all. The same passion and raw truth that fueled the likes of Conway Twitty, Keith Whitley, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, and Hank Williams is sewn into the fabric of Richard Lynch. In a world of fabricated country stars, Richard Lynch stands out in the crowd as a proud member of the last of a dying breed, the pure country music artist. An Independent Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee, Richard's rock solid country roots span 3 decades; it comes up with the sun each morning, and it settles in the music he writes and the songs he sings.. The spirit of Richard Lynch is that which is attached to the working man's soul. It's real and it's timeless. It's country, the way country was meant to be.Now Richard is releasing his brand new single, the poignant title track to his latest Billy Yates-produced album, A Better Place. Written by Yates and Trent Tomlinson (“One Wing in the Fire”), “A Better Place” features Lynch's hauntingly beautiful and emotional vocal alongside a who's who of the best musicians in country music: Eddie Bayers, drums (Garth Brooks, George Strait); Eli Beaird, bass (Joey+Rory, Willie Nelson/Merle Haggard); Scotty Sanders, steel and dobro (Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley); Jeff King, electric guitar (Reba, Luke Bryan); Steve Nathan, piano, keys, synth (Tim McGraw; Toby Keith); Hyram Posey, fiddle (Grand Ol' Opry); Larry Franklin, fiddle (Lorrie Morgan, Alan Jackson); Larry Beaird, acoustic guitar (Rascal Flatts, Brooks and Dunn); Billy Yates (Sara Evans, Kenny Chesney) and Russell Terrell, backing vocals (Clint Black, Darius Rucker.)Preview “A Better Place” at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnKDkTqAEt0.A Better Place was released on the MOD Label. Promotions are by Twang Thang Country – Nashville, TN. Publicity by MTS Management Group – Pittsburgh, PA.Living the life he sings about is what gives Richard Lynch the edge as a singer/songwriter. Richard is a hard working, blue collar man. He is a designer and builder of amazing barns, and as should be expected, he is an American farmer.
