We wrap up #FANuary - where listeners chose what we watched across all our social media accounts - with Larry Cohen's 1976 classic GOD TOLD ME TO! Cohen's strange odyssey of a New York police detective whose investigation yields way more than he ever bargained for is truly a genius piece of cinema that only Larry Cohen could have created! Filled with an incredible cast (Academy Award winner Sandy Dennis, Andy Kaufman, Deborah Raffin, Tony Lo Bianco, and Richard Lynch from New World's DEATHSPORT, but, more importantly, BAD DREAMS) that rivals that of 1981's THE FOUR SEASONS, New World took two turns at releasing the film, which led to a fraught relationship between Cohen and New World head honcho Roger Corman., We discuss that along with other pressing questions, such as: how did Marc and Ryan's family feel about the TV show Space: 1999, what role Brad Dourif might have played, and debate whether walking barefoot in an airport is the same as doing so in a city. Don't miss out on our #FANuary finale! Just accept it, no questions! For all the shows in Someone's Favorite Productions Podcast Network, head here:  https://www.someonesfavoriteproductions.com/

It's your standard orphaned son of a murdered king returns to avenge his father's death and restore freedom to the realm, except he's actually not bothered and only wants to shag the Princess who hires him. It has some shocking scenes of gore and copious amounts of unnecessary female nudity, which made it somewhat of a video rental treasure for pre-pubescent boys in the 80s... but does it stand up to scrutiny now? We're back to the fascinating world of stuntmen and daredevils this time in the cave. We are looking at two films from director Mark L. Lester which he made very early in his prolific career. We start off with "Steel Arena" from 1973 which stars several real-life daredevils as they tour the backroads of America, performing their insane stunts at county fairs. We learn all about the struggles and dangers within the troupe and are treated to a few truly memorable moments. This is a very unique film that is entertaining from the first frame until the very disconcerting ending. Highly recommended! We follow this with 1977's "Stunts" which has a bonafide star-studded cast, including Robert Forster, Fiona Lewis, Joanna Cassidy, and Richard Lynch along with several other familiar faces. This is much more of a "movie" with a plot that revolves around a series of on-set murders that all target the stunt performers. It's got a few amazing moments in it, but it falls a little flatter than the other film. We then proceed to list the various things we've been watching for fun. Please let us know what you thought of the show, and send us some suggestions for future episodes. April is well upon us and we here at Cinema Degeneration thought it was time for another Appreciation Month topic!  We bring to you a celebration of the life and career of the late great filmmaker Mr. Albert Pyun.  Pyun was a maverick director with over 50 directing credits to his resume before he passed away unfortunately in late 2022. Often operating well outside the studio system Pyun delivered films the only way he knew how...his way.  We are continuing the adventures and our 4th episode with the one that started it all and Pyun's feature film directorial debut with the 1982 swords and sandals swashbuckling classic "THE SWORD AND THE SORCEROR", starring Lee Horsley, Richard Moll, Richard Lynch, and more.  This is the epic story of mercenary Talon with his trusty three-bladed sword and his quest to reclaim his kingdom from an ancient wizard and an evil emperor.  Join 'Without Warning' hosts Korey Dawson and Cameron Scott as they discuss this epic first chapter of Pyun's epic film history. Not to disappoint but there are plenty of 'Without Warning' style rants including but not limited to the Doctor Strange sequel, Conan the Barbarian, Exorcist III, the video store rental days and even...LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT???  Join us for a month long celebration of the expansive Pyuniverse!   "That's a small threat. That's a very small threat."

The early '80s were awash with movies featuring bloody knights and half-dressed heroes and heroines, plus a bit of hocus-pocus and enough latex monsters to fill a condom factory.  This one didn't fare quite as well as Conan the Barbarian, but in the plus department at least you can understand the words spoken by the lead character!  Lee Horsley never became a household name (or a gymnasium one, for that matter) but we have some top-shelf villains courtesy of a couple of Dicks: trusy ol' Richard Moll and Richard Lynch!  I give you The Sword and the Sorcerer, a great little cult classic with all the swashbuckling you could handle.  If you swashbuckle much.  I just buckle my shoes, and maybe the belt buckle if I'm slimming down.  No, I guess you really didn't need to know that, but hear this podcast and you'll be caught in its spell!  Kingdoms to save and women to love!! Things are heating up, summer is almost here, and it seems like the perfect time for some exciting reptile action on the podcast! You know what that means? It's time for a long overdue return to one of the favorites, Adorable Animals All-Out Attack! It's GATOR TIME!First up, urban legend becomes reality! Did you ever have a baby alligator as a pet when you were a child? And now that you've grown, are you a herpetologist? But most importantly, did that baby alligator ever get flushed down a toilet? Because if it did, thanks a lot. It now lives in a Missouri sewer system and it's eating people! And sometimes crashing weddings. Where it also eats people. Such is life for Ramon the alligator, in the creature feature classic, Alligator (1980)!When you got that swimming scholarship to the University of Florida, did you ever think that you would be trying to outswim gators? Inside of a house. Probably not. But when a hurricane hits home, the levees break, and your father foolishly did not evacuate the area, you may find yourself in these types of predicaments. Oh, and there's a crawlspace. Which is why this movie is called Crawl (2019).And then from there, the Common Craig basically just carries on about how much he loves actor Steve Railsback, because there's really not that much else to talk about regarding Alligator II: The Mutation (1991).
