In Week 6 the Kares will be under the Friday Night Lights of Dallas, Texas to take on First Baptist Academy (4-1) in front of their Homecoming crowd. The Saints are defending back to back State Champions in Division 4 of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). Our special guest this week is FBA Head Coach Jason Lovvorn who couldn't be more excited to host the 16 time CIF Southern Section Champions from California. Both schools are two of the smallest enrollments out there that play Championship level 11 man football and have more in common than both fan bases may realize. It's the Golden State vs the Lone Star State this Friday night in an unprecedented matchup of small school football programs that accomplish big things on and off the field.

Ryan Glenney is in his ninth season with the Dallas Baptist University Men's Basketball team and serves as the team's Associate Head Coach. During his eight seasons with the Patriots, DBU has advanced to the NCAA Tournament six times, won two Lone Star Conference Division titles, a pair of Heartland Conference regular-season titles, clinched the Heartland Conference Tournament Championship in 2018, and posted a 107-75 record. In 2019, Glenney was named the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Small College Assistant Coach of the Year. Before arriving at DBU, Glenney was the top assistant coach at North Platte Community College in North Platte, Nebraska, and also had coaching stints at Jacksonville College and Western Texas College.Glenney began his coaching career at Iowa State University, serving as a student assistant under current Creighton University Coach Greg McDermott. East Central Independent School District (ISD) school board Vice President Emilio Carrasco has completed the Texas Association of School Boards' (TASB) Leadership program and earned the distinguished Master Trustee designation — one of the highest honors in Texas school board service. Prior to becoming an independent counselor, Matt worked as an admission representative at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. At F&M, Matt was the primary athletics liaison for the Office of Admission, working closely with over two dozen intercollegiate sports throughout the entire application cycle.  Matt has been invited to present on college athletic recruitment and the admissions process to public and private schools all across the country and is an active member of both the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC).
