Looking for the absolute best fantasy baseball waiver wire advice, the latest fantasy baseball trade targets, and updated fantasy baseball rankings? We break down why Jarren Duran is highlighting our latest rankings risers, analyze the underlying metrics making Jackson Chourio an elite buy-low trade target, and pinpoint exactly who you need to target before your league mates catch on. Week 11 Market Analytics & Player Teardowns The fantasy baseball landscape is shifting rapidly as we head into Week 11, requiring managers to separate real skill growth from temporary statistical anomalies. A prime example is Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran, who highlights our latest rankings risers due to underlying pace metrics that suggest a potential 30-30 campaign. Despite an elevated 29% strikeout rate, Duran has locked down the everyday leadoff spot, making his volume-heavy profile incredibly valuable. When evaluating risers like Duran or Bryan Reynolds, analyzing baseline shifts rather than riding unsustainable BABIP waves is essential to sustaining success. The trade market presents distinct buy-low windows that demand immediate action. Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio remains an elite buy-low target; his underlying barrel rates and hard-hit metrics have been teasing a massive breakout, and his recent multi-homer explosion during the series sweep shows that the acquisition window is closing incredibly fast. Similarly, Oakland's Tyler Soderstrom is showing immense growth, dropping his strikeout rate from a concerning 30% down to a highly manageable 18%. Combined with a rising launch angle at a highly favorable Sutter Health Park hitting environment, his bat is primed for a massive second-half surge. On the flip side, identifying optimal sell-high timelines is just as crucial for long-term roster construction. Christian Yelich continues to provide solid surface counting stats, but his underlying metrics paint an incredibly alarming picture. Yelich's launch angle sits at a low two degrees, paired with a meager 6% barrel rate and a career-worst average exit velocity of 88 mph. With his strikeout rate jumping nearly 30% alongside chronic back discomfort, savvy managers should trade the veteran asset now to maximize return value before rest-of-season regression fully hits. Conversely, pitching depth remains highly volatile, as highlighted by the dramatic roster shifts across standard leagues. For those looking to fill open roster spots, looking toward efficient arms like Detroit's Troy Melton or checking the underlying predictive metrics of high-upside young arms like Chase Burns provides a strategic roadmap for stabilizing team ERAs and WHIPs without burning waiver priority on low-floor assets. Is it officially time to rage drop Tanner Bibee after another blowout, or do the metrics suggest a major bounce-back is coming? Episode Summary Joe Bond and AJ Applegarth break down the top waiver wire adds, brutal drops, and key rankings movers for Week 10 of the fantasy baseball season. The crew details why pitchers like Shota Imanaga and Nolan McLean are sliding down the rankings, and explains why struggling stars like Bo Bichette represent key buy-low opportunities rather than panic drops. Week 10 Fantasy Baseball Advanced Analytics & Strategic Breakdown The fantasy baseball landscape is shifting rapidly as we head into Week 10, requiring managers to separate raw surface statistics from true predictive indicators. The focal point of this week's analysis centers on Cleveland Guardians right-hander Tanner Bibee, whose disastrous outing against the Washington Nationals exposed massive vulnerabilities. Surrendering seven earned runs and an astounding five home runs over just three innings of work on Memorial Day sent shockwaves through fantasy rosters. Looking into his broader trajectory, a disturbing multi-year pattern emerges. Bibee's surface ERA has progressively climbed from 2.98 to 3.47, then to 4.24, and now sits at 4.57 for the season. Coupled with a 4.16 SIERA and a strikeout rate dropping below one punchout per inning, Bibee can no longer be viewed as an un-droppable asset. His underlying numbers indicate he has transitioned into a volatile, matchup-dependent option rather than a reliable rotation anchor. Pitching volatility dominates the landscape this week, highlighted by prominent rankings fallers Shota Imanaga and Nolan McLean. While some fantasy managers might react with panic to their downward slide in the rankings, it is crucial to analyze the shift structurally rather than assuming true skill regression. Shota Imanaga's dip reflects an expected correction after an incredibly hot stretch, making it an adjustment based on stabilizing underlying metrics. Meanwhile, Nolan McLean's slide serves as a reminder of how quickly pitching depth charts and small-sample performance can fluctuate in standard rankings models. Separating these structural rankings adjustments from complete profile collapses is what allows sharp managers to maximize their pitching rotations while others panic-drop viable assets. Conversely, the advanced data reveals lucrative buy-low windows for targets experiencing acute misfortune. Oakland Athletics slugger Brent Rooker stands out as a prime trade target despite a freezing cold spell that dragged his batting average down to .189 with a 52:17 strikeout-to-walk ratio. While his standard Savant page flashes concerning blue metrics, Rooker boasts a consistent multi-year track record of crossing the 30-home-run threshold. In an era where league-wide batting averages are depressed, maintaining a true 30-homer profile provides massive utility, making him an ideal target while his market value is rock bottom. Similarly, managers must remain disciplined with elite foundational bats like Freddie Freeman and Bo Bichette. Freeman's minor dip in the rankings represents a normal structural variation rather than a fundamental degradation of his elite plate discipline. Bo Bichette is another prime example of why surface-level struggles should not trigger a panic drop. While he appears as a "Homer Pick Drop" focus on the show due to recent visual adjustments and shifting team dynamics, his long-term track record remains undeniable. Bichette is not a true skills-based rankings faller to cut loose; instead, the underlying metrics suggest he remains an elite bounce-back candidate. Treating his depressed batting average as a structural buying window rather than a permanent anchor allows you to secure an elite infielder before his inevitable positive statistical correction occurs. On the waiver wire front, uncovering values requires a sharp focus on expected metrics and situational deployment. Washington Nationals starter Cade Cavalli has emerged as a high-priority addition, exhibiting elite command over his last three starts spanning 19.3 innings. Cavalli has posted a stellar 2.79 ERA, a 1.03 WHIP, and a spectacular 2.44 SIERA alongside 24 strikeouts—highlighted by consecutive 10-strikeout performances against Atlanta and the Mets. Backed by a highly potent Nationals offense, his run support floor remains high. Meanwhile, deep-league infielder options like Chase Meidroth of the Chicago White Sox and Blaze Alexander of the Baltimore Orioles offer flexible, multi-position eligibility. Meidroth benefits from hitting near the top of a White Sox lineup that unexpectedly ranks as the eighth-best offense by wRC+. Alexander provides elite short-term streaming upside, slashing .344 with a .913 OPS since mid-May, offering short-term category boosts while navigating structural gaps in the fantasy infield. I spoke to Evan Miyazono, founder of Atlas Computing, about the neglected risks of advanced AI and what it would actually take to govern it.We dig into the threats he thinks aren't getting enough attention, from asymmetrically offensive cyber capabilities and economic disruption to what he calls the "intelligence curse," a dynamic where governments lose any incentive to invest in their populations once labor becomes synthetic. We also get into formal verification as a framework for AI governance, why consensus and agreement become scarcer as intelligence gets cheaper, and where blockchains might actually fit into that picture in ways that have nothing to do with libertarian fantasy. This episode is sponsored by NYM, the world's most private VPN. Is it time to panic on Jackson Merrill after a brutal slide in the rankings, or is this the ultimate window to buy low on a superstar like Freddie Freeman? We are breaking down the critical fantasy baseball waiver wire moves and rankings shifts you need to make right now. From the data behind Travis Bazzana's rise to the metrics causing concern for Fernando Tatis Jr., we have the analytical edge to keep you ahead of your league. On this episode of The F6P Hour, AJ, Joe, and Corey discuss the absolute must-add talents and the toxic trends forcing managers into difficult roster choices. The crew evaluates the actual panic meter for sliding superstars and uncovers under-the-radar waiver wire targets to salvage your offensive depth. They also explore the optimal windows to buy low on struggling high-end studs before their market price rockets back up. The Gunnar Henderson Slide: Why the elite shortstop is tumbling down Joe's rankings and whether the underlying Statcast metrics hint at a quick turnaround. Prospects on the Move: Deep dives into Travis Bazzana, Carson Benge, and high-upside arms like Jacob Misiorowski and Trey Yesavage. Premium Buy-Low Windows: Why underperforming elite assets like Freddie Freeman and Manny Machado are screaming trade targets right now according to Corey. Waiver Wire Realities: Navigating a messy injury week and identifying if J.T. Ginn or Gabriel Moreno can save your roster depth. As the fantasy baseball calendar hits Week 9, savvy managers must separate noise from actual signal. A primary example is the red-hot surge of Cincinnati Reds outfielder JJ Bleday. While he might not have the volume to fully qualify for standard Statcast leaderboards yet, adjusting the parameters to a 50 at-bat minimum reveals an elite expected slugging percentage of .579, ranking him comfortably inside the top 10 league-wide. Combined with a robust 14% barrel rate and an expected batting average north of .300, Bleday is a priority addition across all formats, especially given the hitter-friendly environment of Great American Ball Park. Conversely, the evaluation of veterans like Alec Bohm requires a balanced perspective. Bohm has been a stabilizer over an 11-game hitting streak, flashing an empty average that boosts standard categories but masks his historical profile as a secondary power source. While he remains a highly usable asset across corner infield positions, his fantasy value leans heavily on counting stats in a potent Philadelphia offense rather than underlying Statcast metrics suggesting an imminent home run explosion. Meanwhile, the catcher landscape has drastically thinned due to structural injuries to primary tier options, vaulting Gabriel Moreno back into relevant consideration as a high-floor, volume-based streaming plug-in despite capped ceiling metrics. On the flip side of value preservation, the pitching market presents high-risk choices. Oakland's J.T. Ginn commands attention after carrying a no-hitter into the ninth inning, flashing an upgraded pitch-mix and an attractive 2.85 SIERA over his recent stretch. However, his volatility mirrors the broader market where names like Foster Griffin demonstrate how quickly an ERA can balloon when sequencing and park factors regress. For managers executing long-term trade strategies, targeting foundational players like Freddie Freeman and Manny Machado during temporary statistical slumps represents the gold standard of roster optimization, buying into proven career baselines before their BABIP stabilizes. Is it time to pull the plug on Luis Castillo? The F6P crew debates the brutal "Rage Drop" of the week and why superstar names like Gunnar Henderson are causing a unique triple-threat paradox in fantasy circles. On this episode of The Fantasy Six Pack Hour, AJ Applegarth, Joe Bond, and Corey Pieper break down the Week 7 landscape using advanced metrics to separate the outliers from the legitimate shifts in value. In this episode, we discuss: The Gunnar Henderson Paradox: Why AJ considers him a "homer" drop while Corey views him as a premier buy-low target due to his 30-home run pace despite a sub-.200 average. Statcast Risers: How Matt Olson and Byron Buxton are overcoming cold starts to climb back into elite ranking territory. The "Rage Drop" Reality: Why Luis Castillo is being cut after a performance defined by high pitch counts and a lack of consistent results. Buy Low/Sell High: Why Brandon Nimmo's underlying metrics make him a must-acquire target, and why Randy Arozarena's shift to a high ground-ball rate is a massive red flag. Inside the Analysis: Week 7 Deep Dive The Week 7 landscape is defined by "superstar struggles." The crew dives into the perplexing case of Fernando Tatis Jr., who maintains an elite hard-hit rate but is suffering from a 2-degree launch angle, causing him to pound contact directly into the dirt. This lack of "lift" is a recurring theme for several early-round picks who are currently underperforming their expected stats. On the pitching side, the show explores the surge of Michael McGreevy and Cameron Schlittler. While McGreevy has been dominant for the Cardinals, Joe warns that maintaining his current ERA may be difficult depending on upcoming matchups. Meanwhile, Corey makes a strong case for Jesus Luzardo as a top-15 pitcher profile that is currently being undervalued because of a low left-on-base percentage rather than a lack of "stuff". Finally, the Riley Greene and Robbie Ray "Sell High" windows are examined. With Greene sporting an unsustainable .552 BABIP over the last month, the crew agrees that cashing in on his current .325 average is the optimal move before regression hits. I spoke to Scoopy Trooples, the pseudonymous co-founder of Alchemix, about self-repaying loans, the wreckage of DeFi scams, and what ethical crypto finance could actually look like.We dig into how Alchemix works, allowing your debt pays itself off over time and what's new in V3. We also get into the broader rot in the space: meme coin pump-and-dumps, celebrity rug pulls, prediction market gambling, and how DeFi summer's promise curdled into financial nihilism. Scoopy is one of the rare crypto founders willing to say the quiet part loud, that most of what gets built in this space is zero-sum at best and predatory at worst, and has been trying to build something different since day one. This episode is sponsored by NYM, the world's most private VPN. I spoke to Atossa Araxia Abrahamian, an independent journalist and author of The Hidden Globe, about the world of offshore finance, special economic zones, and network states. We dig into her reporting on a proposed crypto enclave in St. Kitts and Nevis, the history and reality of these zones, and what happens when libertarian ideas about sovereignty and markets collide with real communities pushing back. The network state adjacent project is called Destiny and is being proposed by Olivier Janssens, a wealthy bitcoin tycoon, for the island of Nevis. I spoke to Luis Bezzenberger of Brainbot and core contributor to Shutter Network, about MEV and threshold encryption for encrypted mempools.Luis comes from a background in distributed systems and has spent years thinking about how cryptography can level the playing field between ordinary users and sophisticated actors who exploit the transparency of public mempools. We dig into how threshold encryption works, why encrypted mempools like what Shutter Network is building, could protect users from front-running without sacrificing decentralization, and what it actually takes to get something like this shipped at the protocol level. We also get into the broader architecture puzzle — encrypted mempools PBS, FOCIL, and why Luis thinks these three pieces together form the holy trinity for censorship resistance on Ethereum. This episode is sponsored by NYM, the world's most private VPN. Charlie Holmberg is a Wall Street Journal and Amazon best-selling author of over 20 novels. She sent me her book “The Shattered King,” book one of a duology, a dark fantasy with a lot of adventure, and the romance contributes to the fantasy/magic. So, while it is a slow-burn romance—placing it squarely in the romantasy genre—I thoroughly enjoyed it as an adventure with a lot of political intrigue. I was fascinated by her magic, a system in which the main character, Nym, works with a physically broken Prince Renn to heal his "aura" or "soul," thereby healing his body. As I enjoy discovering new magic systems, this was an especially nice treat. And I must say that I really enjoyed meeting Charlie at the Life, the Universe, and Everything Symposium, where this interview was recorded and discussing her journey as an author. You likely started him when he first came up, but now what do you do?3.We never discussed the crazy game Jo Adel had. While not fantasy related, he stole three home runs on the night and did it with a lot of style. Did you see it?4.Taj Bradley has been a revelation this season and is seventh on the Fantrax Player Rater for pitching. 16.2 IP, 22K/4BB, 2 wins, 1.08 ERA. A lot has been expected of him, dating back to his days with Tampa. Is this real?1)As good as Bradley has been, sitting on the top of the pitcher Player Rater is the Angels Jose Soriano – 20 IP, 21K/6BB, 3 wins, 0.45 ERAi.Who had this on their bingo card? Real or not?2)Who would you rather roster the rest of the season – Bradley or Soriano?5.Cade Horton is having elbow surgery – UGH! Who do you look to pick up his starts?1)It was also made official that Cody Ponce will miss the rest of the season. Sorry Tim.i.It does bring up a question. For fantasy players, is it wise to invest heavily across a bunch of leagues in one player, like Ponce. When you do, you're scrambling What say you?6.On our Patreon site, I've written several times about Noah Schultz. He's looked great so far this season, throwing a lot more strikes, but still doesn't have a change-up. He looks to be getting close. I see the appeal, but I want to see more before adding him this season. What say you?1)Do you have two or three prospects you are looking to get called up soon?7.What hitter will you be targeting for this weekend's FAAB?8.What pitcher will you be targeting for this weekend's FAAB?

I spoke to Victor Muhagachi, co-founder of NEDA Labs, building digital asset payment infrastructure in Tanzania and East Africa, about what it actually looks like to bring crypto to communities in this context.Victor grew up watching mobile money transform how people transact across Africa but also watching 15-20% of people's money disappear just in the act of digitizing it. We dig into NEDA Labs work on Tanzanian Shilling stablecoin rails and the experience of talking to regulators. We also get into the savings circle pilot they ran with the JUKUMU Hub, a local community space, and Solar Foundation whom we had recently in a Bread Cooperative community call. This episode is sponsored by NYM, the world's most private VPN. I spoke to Nader Dabit, longtime crypto developer and educator who built at Aave, Lens, and Developer DAO, about what it felt like to be at the frontier of Web3 and why he eventually left.Nader spent years genuinely believing in decentralized social and censorship resistant platforms, and we dig into why those ideas haven't found their footing: the brutal difficulty of onboarding people, a culture that kept rewarding hype over substance, and watching the space forgive grifters over and over while builders burned out. We also get into the moment AI clicked and why late 2024 felt like a real turning point, what agentic coding does to the software engineering profession, and whether the crypto-AI intersection is real or just the latest way to raise money. And Nader shares some thoughts as a Palestinian American on why censorship resistance still matters to him even if the tools haven't delivered on it yet. This episode is sponsored by NYM, the world's most private VPN. I spoke to Nick Vincent, assistant professor of computing science at Simon Fraser University and author of the Data Leverage substack, about what it actually means that AI systems are built on the collective output of humanity's digital labor and what we can do about it.Nick has spent years researching how data functions as a bargaining tool, and we get into the nitty gritty of what that looks like in practice: data strikes, data poisoning, and redirecting your data to competitors as forms of collective action. We also discuss the explosion of agentic coding tools like Claude Code, what they mean for software engineers and entry-level workers, and why the very thing that makes LLMs so powerful — their dependence on collective human data — is also what makes them uniquely vulnerable to organized pressure from below. This episode is sponsored by NYM, the world's most private VPN. I spoke to Boris Mamlyuk, co-founder of Clean App an AI-powered, crowdsourced environmental app designed for users to report waste and hazards in real-time, essentially a system for reporting civic feedback. I had him on to talk about the app which boasts over 1 million installs, his critique of the crypto libertarian project's capture by Wall Street interests, and how decentralized technologies can strengthen the civic sphere against both state surveillance and corporate data monopolies. I spoke to Tan Zhi Xuan, Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore's Department of Computer Science and founder of the Cooperative Intelligence and Systems Lab, a research group confronting the gap between the rationalist AI alignment discourse focused on superintelligence and what is actually happening.I had her on to talk about her work on cooperative AI (designing AI systems and institutions that promote beneficial cooperation among AI-empowered actors rather than conflict), her critique of techno-solutionist AI alignment approaches that ignore class interests and political economy, and how blockchain technologies might enable decentralized governance for a future of specialized AI agents. We also talk about the approach that Senator Bernie Sanders has taken recently in his critiques of AI companies. This episode is sponsored by NYM, the world's most private VPN. Unlike traditional VPNs, Nym uses a decentralized mixnet to scramble your internet data — hiding who you're talking to, when, and how often. You can switch between full mixnet mode for maximum anonymity, or a faster VPN mode for everyday use.Use the code blockchainsocialist when signing up and get an extra month! If you liked the podcast be sure to give it a review on your preferred podcast platform. This is not the first time we've selected baseball boyfriends because of their moms, but this may be the first time we've concocted a plan to bring them beer in person. This week we talk HOU and NYM. For the Astros, Pottymouth picks the mom in the stands reminding him to run and Patti chooses the mom in the clubhouse. For the Mets its Pottymouth goes for the mom who just wants both boys to have a great time and Patti the one who could watch her kid every single day playing ball. Two fatal shootings by Feds in Minnesota push the sports and business communities to take a stand at the organizational level, the NBPA adds their collective voice, and our patron saint provides context. Serie del Caribe is just getting started and we are on Yadi watch for the LVBP. We try to suss out the insurance rules keeping certain MLB players out of the World Baseball Classic. In a Police Blotter/cross training/cross over, Patti commits $10 per goal scored by Britta Curl-Salemme to Baltimore Safe Haven so that she can still cheer for US Women's Olympic Hockey. Hilary and Laila deserve better than a transphobic teammate in this historic year. And we encourage the NHL to use some of its financial gains from the Heated Rivalry effect to make hockey a safer space for all.We say, “I thought pitchforks in this town were only brandished at Council meetings,” “How big can Ozark be, really?” and “It is, in fact, color coded.” Fight the man, send your game balls to Meredith, get boosted, and find us on Bluesky @ncibpodcast, on Facebook @nocryinginbball, Instagram @nocryinginbball and on the Interweb at nocryinginbball.com. In this episode, Josh Swihart, CEO of the Electric Coin Company, which created Zcash, and Harry Halpin, co-founder of Nym, join Laura to delve into why privacy coins have taken off, and why technology is suddenly at the center of conversations involving governments, financial institutions, and national security officials. They discuss what's actually driving the privacy coin renaissance, why transparent ledgers create risks far beyond user behavior, and how technologies like zero-knowledge proofs and mixnets are reshaping what's possible onchain. Josh and Harry also break down exchange support, institutional interest, the Zcash DAT, upcoming Zcash upgrades, and whether Ethereum or Solana (or others) can realistically add privacy to chains that were never designed for it.
