Pastor Mark Hammer joins the podcast today to discuss his journey of re-evaluating his understanding of eschatology and the end times. Mark takes us through the different views of end times, including premillennialism, historicism, postmillennialism, and amillennialism. He also shares his shift from a dispensationalist view to an idealist-amillennial view to eventually a partial-preterist view. He emphasizes the importance of interpreting Scripture in its historical and literary context, and highlights the use of literary devices such as chiasms and Hebrew parallelism. Mark challenges the traditional interpretation of prophecies and eschatological events, arguing that many of them have already been fulfilled in the past. Both Jenny and Mark emphasize the need to stay humble as well as focus on living out the kingdom of God in the present while bringing glory to His name. Mark Hammer has been in full time ministry with his amazing wife, Lindsey for almost 18 years. He is currently one of the teaching pastors at North Summit Church in northern Idaho and has been pastoring there since 2014. Mark also oversees the Community Team of staff who head up the major connection and discipling environments at the church. In his spare time, he loves being with his family, reading books, discussing the Bible, and hiking and backpacking while searching for bigfoot. This episode was brought to you by Rowe Casa Organics. We have a very, very special show today. First, we bring you audience testimonies from our play, OCTOBER 7. Then, we have one of the most interesting and moving interviews we've ever done. Shani Arditi is one of the Nova Festival survivors we spoke to in Israel. Her story is one of tragedy and hope and resilience, and is one of the reasons our play is so special. She attended opening night, which was a huge surprise for Jenny Anne Hochberg, the actress telling her story. Both Jenny and Shani join us on the podcast to discuss the importance of OCTOBER 7. This 100% verbatim play is in production now until June 16th! Get your tickets https://www.october7theplay.com/. Lastly, we bring you the latest miscarriage of justice in DC. Seven pro-life activists were unjustly sentenced for violations of the FACE Act in their efforts to save babies from abortion doctor Ceasar Santangelo. PARANORMAL ENCOUNTERS: Be Careful What You Wish For. This episode will run on the Para-X Radio Network (www.paraxradionetwork.com) on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 11:00 PM-12:00 Midnight (EST). Educational. Entertaining. Intriguing. On this show, Dr. Schutz interviews twins, Drs. Jenny and Kristy, from Soul Sisters Paranormal. Both gals are paranormal investigators.Soul Sisters Paranormal began as a group of sisters and friends who travelled to some of the most haunted locations across the U.S. They have investigated private homes, businesses, abandoned buildings, etc. In 2020, the group reduced in size to just Jenny and Kristy, who continued investigating their immediate areas, primarily in central Florida. Both Jenny and Kristy are accomplished professionals in each of their respective fields. Paranormal investigations and education are just parts of the services they provide and take their roles very seriously. The sisters have collected evidence which, to most, would be unexplainable. However, regardless, no research team can say with absolute that the evidence they collect is of a paranormal nature.WEBSITESwww.soulsistersparanormal.comSOUL SISTERS PARANORMAL FACEBOOK YOUTUBETo learn more about me, read my biography at www.paranormaluniversalpress.com. The definition of sexual abstinence is contested and often confused with ‘asexuality' and ‘celibacy'. Asexuality relates to a sexual identity in which an individual does not feel sexual attraction towards others, whilst celibacy often has religious connotations, whereby an individual or couple do not partake in sexual activity in order to strengthen their relationship with God. Conversely, sexual abstinence is characterised by a willing abstaining from penetrative sex and often its associated activities. So, why are so many young people abstaining?abstinence can be empowering in and of itself, serving as an eye-opener for individuals practising alone and couples practising together, both in terms of understanding sex and sexual partners in a more holistic light. For Jourdan*, who is in his mid-twenties and has been sexually abstinent for a year, abstinence helps him to remove himself from the hypersexualised world of hook up culture, and a media that perpetuates an omnipresent male gaze. “Technology and media have shifted the perspective of sexual activity,” he says. “because it is so easily accessible, it dilutes the essence of sexual activity. Some people would give their bodies to someone but at the same time, not let them look at their mobile phone.”Sexual abstinence raises questions about what it means to be sexually liberated. If sexual empowerment is about choosing what to do with one's body, both being sexually active and sexually abstinent tick that box.Sex and abstinence have ended up mirroring one another in contemporary society. Where sexual adventuring can improve emotional wellness for some, so can sexual abstinence for others. As abstinence increases sexual self-awareness from an emotional perspective, as it did for Jenny and Jourdan, yoni eggs and crystal dildos can increase sexual self-awareness from a physical perspective. As couples show affection through physical intimacy, they also find novel ways of sharing affection when abstaining. Sex and abstinence are not polar opposites, nor mutually exclusive. Both Jenny and Jourdan are not planning on being abstinent forever; both would engage in sexual
Today's episode is super special to me, as I got to speak with two women who I really admire, Jenny Schiltz and Amy Dempster. I've had each of them on the show already, but really felt the pull to have them BOTH on together! Each of them had really neat stories that they shared back around early January. I got the intuitive nudge to bring them together so that they could share these stories! They didn't already know each other so I was excited to introduce them to the other. I've been following Jenny for probably 10 years and she's given me many readings in that time. Amy I discovered last year in my quest to better understand what it was that I was seeing when we did our healing circles. I knew we were doing something with Mother Earth and her grids, her ley lines. I found Amy and learned about her course and immediately signed up. It brought so much clarity and direction! Both Jenny and Amy are fun and down to earth, making abstract esoteric topics accessible. I really appreciate their personalities and teaching styles and I'm sure you will too. I am excited to bring them both to you here today! Hope you enjoy listening! If you'd rather watch and not listen, this episode is also up on my YouTube channel! My guest today is Jenny Kernan. She's a mother of three beautiful children, with two of them at home and one of them in heaven. When they were ready to start a family, she struggled to get pregnant, and decided to take the fertility route. After going through the difficult process of taking follicle stimulating hormone shots, and Clomid, it wasn't long before she got the great news that she was pregnant, with twins! Everything seemed to be going well until the ultrasound at 20 weeks when her doctor broke the news that one of her twins had a heart condition, which could be resolved with surgery after they were born. But at the 24 week mark, she went into labor and a week later went into delivery via C-section. Jenny talks about how thankful she was to spend 49 days with her beautiful son, Dylan, before he joined God, and how she volunteers in remembrance of him and in honor of her children. Both Jenny and her husband Pat are huge supporters of the foundation March of Dimes, and have raised over 1 million dollars for the NICU family research and support program. They won the Field's Family Legacy Award for their years of volunteerism and continue to help increase the quality of life for babies in the NICU. I hope that their message will inspire others who have faced similar challenges in their lives. Key Takeaways with Jenny Kernan The difficulties that come with fertility hormones. How to overcome the extreme complications that can come with pregnancy. The terrifying moments that come with having premature twins. The moment when you're told your baby might not survive. The one thing you should never take for granted. How giving support to your community is a way that will honor your children. Learn how you can gain NICU support from March of Dimes. How talking about the child that you lost can feel good. How do you find your safe place after a trauma? Learn how to peel back the important parts of life to live life to the fullest. Let's hear from Jenny, Jimmi and Sybille:- In this Episode Our Challengers had plenty of useful tips to share Throw the book at it! Both Jenny and Sybille have been reading all the quitlit and listening to all the podcasts. As Sybille said if we understand the science behind alcohol dependence then we are more likely to stick with it – learn everything you can and eventually it will click! Work on your mindset – Sybille sees her alcohol free future as a very positive thing – a life full of benefits rather than some kind of punishment! Stock up on alcohol free drinks – if you are in South Africa and doing our January Challenge you can claim a discount from DrinkNil who will deliver to your door. Journalling was another important tip - buy a notebook, process your emotions and log your progress during the Challenge. We often have a vague feeling that we need to do something about our drinking but a challenge will enable you to dip your toe in the waters of sobriety and take action - SIGN UP FOR THE JANUARY CHALLENGE HERE "Alcohol is the only drug we have to justify not taking" so doing a challenge is a great "reason". If you have to explain to your family and friends why you are not drinking you can say "I'm raising money for charity by doing a Dry January!" An alcohol free month will enable you to experience some benefits of sobriety but to really experience the joys of alcohol free living you need to keep going a bit longer. You will meet others on the challenge who will be keep to extend the challenge to 66 days, 100 days - even six months! Another great tip we heard from our Challengers was to reconfigure your day - shake up your routine a bit and you won't miss alcohol so much! Do you believe in ghosts? Are you fascinated by stories of the unexplained? Then this might be the podcast for you! Kristy Sumner is a Paranormal Investigator and the co-founder of Soul Sisters Paranormal, an all female Paranormal investigation team based in the USA, who have investigated some of the most haunted sites across America. In 2020, the team changed somewhat as twin sisters Jenny and Kristy became the primary investigators for the team. Both Jenny and Kristy have always had a fascination with the paranormal, and small impromptu investigations occurred before the formal organization of the team. While based mostly in central Florida, the sisters have traveled across the USA in order to investigate interesting locations. Kristy who holds an advanced PHD approaches the investigations from a research perspective. Paranormal investigations and education are just parts of the services Soul Sisters provide. They are passionate about treating each investigation location with the respect and the reverence that it deserves for its place in history. Hope everyone had an amazing thanksgiving filled with love and KDramas! Not many KDramas to review but the movie we watched this week was The Call on Netflix with Park Shin Hye @ 8:52. It was amazing, action packed, and make sure everyone keeps watching until the end credit scene! It changes everything... Our main event for this week is Start Up (Ep: 13-14) @ 16:18. We are getting close to the finale and historically the dramas we have reviewed always drop the ball on episodes 13 and 14 and unfortunately, it might be that Start Up has as well... Both Jenny and Andy do not like how 13 and 14 is tying up the loose ends. Tons to discuss as one of the best dramas of 2020 ends. We can't wait for the finale to see who will win in the Math Boy vs. Good Boy battle for BAE. Who do you guys think should win? We will be releasing a KDrama Drinking Game for the Start Up finale! Make sure you watch and drink along with us. Next week the Pocha Crew will review the Start Up finale (15-16). Employers play a fundamental role within apprenticeships, so it was vital that they featured on at least one episode of Apprentice Talks. We wanted to understand why employers value apprentices so much and why apprentices are key to closing the skills gap. On this episode we're joined by Jenny Taylor, UK Foundation Manager at IBM, and Daniell Morrisey, Senior Editorial Early Careers Schemes Manager at the BBC. Both Jenny and Daniell make it clear that apprentices are an essential part of their organisations and help them future proof their business, as well as allowing the organisation to reach younger audiences. Find out more about the apprentice roles available at IBM and the BBC and why employers value apprentices by clicking play.
Both Jenny and Denel tell the stories of 2 people who had close encounters with serial killers, and survived!
In this episode Both Jenny and Denel talk about some abduction survival stories. Jenny tells the story of Erinn Orcutt who was abducted in broad daylight! And Denel tells the story of Mary Vincent who got abducted by one very crazy man.
In Episode 5, Jenny Costa (Rubies in the Rubble) and Jemma Finch (Stories Behind Things) join Jamz to discuss ways people can support environmentally-friendly lifestyles without spending beyond their means. As consumers become more conscious of the impact their purchasing habits have on the planet, we explore the areas where people can make tangible differences to their carbon footprint – from the nature of fast fashion to waste reduction and smart shopping. It’s a theme supported by research, too; almost 2 in 3 young adults (61%) are willing to spend more on a product if it comes from a sustainable brand (you can read more on this in the ‘Searching for meaning’ section of the Futureproof report). Both Jenny and Jemma provide insight from two different industries – food and clothing – to shine a light on the growing prominence of ‘guilt-free consumption’, and how young people are engaging with brands that align closely with their own personal beliefs.
Long overdue, this episode handles some SELF CARE, diet talk, and Kat's adventures in styling. Both Jenny and Kat caught the sick, hit the road, and have been feeling their feelings (it's Gaudy!). Kat got to dress friend of the cast Dulce Sloan for her Comedy Central Half Hour and Jenny for her most recent Conan (now on youtube). Jenny went and saw Hello Dolly and looked up the history of diets! Did you know America goes through a spiritual awakening every 90 years or so and with that come a bunch of diet garbage?! Well, it does! AND THEY'RE CRAZY Keto was made for epileptic kids! Swamps make you fat! Liquid diets will KILL YOU! People eat TAPEWORMS. DON'T PUT MEAT IN YOUR COFFEE! Follow us!
