Pastor Mark Hammer joins the podcast today to discuss his journey of re-evaluating his understanding of eschatology and the end times. Mark takes us through the different views of end times, including premillennialism, historicism, postmillennialism, and amillennialism. He also shares his shift from a dispensationalist view to an idealist-amillennial view to eventually a partial-preterist view. He emphasizes the importance of interpreting Scripture in its historical and literary context, and highlights the use of literary devices such as chiasms and Hebrew parallelism. Mark challenges the traditional interpretation of prophecies and eschatological events, arguing that many of them have already been fulfilled in the past. Both Jenny and Mark emphasize the need to stay humble as well as focus on living out the kingdom of God in the present while bringing glory to His name. Mark Hammer has been in full time ministry with his amazing wife, Lindsey for almost 18 years. He is currently one of the teaching pastors at North Summit Church in northern Idaho and has been pastoring there since 2014. Mark also oversees the Community Team of staff who head up the major connection and discipling environments at the church.

When it comes to succeeding at the highest level, attending summits and absorbing knowledge is only step one of the journey. Implementing, failing and fixing your failures is what produces the results. Last year, we talked to a team that attended the Team Building Summit, and took in a lot of knowledge. This year, they'll be on stage sharing how they have grown and created a solid culture based on what they learned. How are they shifting to a more profitable team structure? What are the big takeaways from the summit? In this episode, Duncan Properties co-owners, and mother and son team leads, Michelle and Ford talk about their journey since attending the summit. Three Things You'll Learn In This Episode - The best way to think about our teamsRestaurants aren't designed to serve every type of food. How do we apply the same mindset to our real estate businesses? - How to build a team that gives you freedomWhy do so many teams end up stuck in the least profitable model with no passive income? - Why failure is part of the journeyWhat does the path of growing a business look like, and why do we need to accept that it comes with mistakes?Guest BioMichelle Duncan is co-owner and broker-in-charge at The Duncan Group, and her son, Ford is the co-owner and operations manager. The Duncan Group's commitment to “Exceeding Expectations”  led to a strong client base that never failed to be satisfied with the service and representation that they received. With that level of success and the strategies and techniques in place to bring about sales and satisfied clients, The Duncan Group transitioned into its own independent brokerage, Duncan Group Properties. For more information visit https://www.duncangroupproperties.com.

On the podcast today we have Cate DeRosia. Cate is a familiar face in the WordPress community. Along with her husband, Topher, they run the HeroPress Network. She describes herself as a 'serial volunteer in the community'. In early 2022 Cate was hired by Automattic to be a sponsored member of the Community Team, and it's this role which finds her on the podcast today. We talk about her recent ‘blue sky thinking' post, which is a forum for people to engage with her and her team, so that future WordPress events can be made different. What does the community of 2022 want from WordPress events? Are we happy with how things have always been done, or do we want something new, something different?
