She starred in and produced "Summer of Dreams" in 2016 and in "Wedding of Dreams" in 2018. Ashley Williams stars as Ellie. She has 81 acting credits including “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These,” “Two Tickets to Paradise,” and “Love, Classified” all from 2022. Luke took a small departure from the Hallmark Channel, he was last seen in “A Magical Christmas Village” last holiday season. At the time, he told the LA Times that his 17th Hallmark movie would likely be his last, saying that the channel “had been very good” to him but “how many firefighters can I play?” In the meantime, Macfarlane co-starred in a feature film called “Bros,” worked for AppleTV on a comedy called “Platonic” and was even offered a role in mega-hit Barbie but had to decline because of conflicts. Additionally, Macfarlane and his partner welcomed a baby girl named Tess in June of this year. So why is he back at Hallmark? He told The Hollywood Reporter that he “applauds” Hallmark for creating queer content. Perhaps an offer he couldn't reuse? The script was written by Rick Garmen who has 27 previous writing credits. His last three movies for Hallmark were “Groundswell,” “Christmas at Castle Hart,” and “You Had me at Aloha.” But, his last two movies were the CCB and Danica McKeller Christmas movies for GAF last year. Third podcast review for the #merrythanksgivingweekend on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. (I am glad we are almost done.) This podcast we are reviewing Christmas at Castle Hart starring Lacey Chabert and Stuart Townsend, as well as Time for Them to Come home for Christmas starring Jessy Schram and Brendan Elliot. We liked Christmas at Castle Hart. It was very reminiscent of Hallmark's 2016 movie "My Summer Prince" starring Jax Turner and Taylor Cole. Loved the sister relationship between Margot and Brooke. Definitely loved the comedy and the river dancing. A few things we want to point out though is that we feel Hallmark is perpetuating a stereotype about the Irish people when Margot and Brooke go to the pub to find their family members, like they expect them to be in the bar all day or something. Why not go to the library. Also this was written by Paul Campbell. We are thinking of renaming this weekend "The Weekend of Paul Campbell" lol. Since he had a hand in 3 of the 8 movies that aired. Time for Them to Come Home for Christmas was nice. It wasn't memorable. The drinking game of how many times can you hear that song was a missed opportunity. Allison Sweeney made a cameo appearance. And we are left wondering "Can two people fall in love in two days?" News and Notes About Christmas at Castle Hart This Hallmark movie was filmed in Clare, Limerick and Ennis counties in Ireland. Filmed in September 2021, Lacey Chabert gave an interview to Southern Living that it was warm and not raining while in Ireland. This was Lacey Chabert's first trip to Ireland. In sad news, Lacey lost her sister just days before the premiere of this new Hallmark Christmas movie which was about two sisters who travel to Ireland in search of their father's Irish roots. She memorialized and dedicated the movie to her sister in the Instagram post below.
