Ready for a remake of a 60's sci-fi TV show that stars the guy from Friends and arguable one of the best actors of our generation (Gary Oldman)? No? Neither were we. This week, the boys review Lost in Space from 1998. Starring William Hurt, Matt LeBlanc, Gary Oldman, and Heather Graham. The Robinson family sets out on a journey through the stars in an effort to save the world. But as the name would suggest, they get a little lost, and so does the plot, character development, and CGI.Support the showCatch new episodes of the Where to Stick It Podcast every Tuesday and Thursday. Jennifer + Josh are back to kick off Season 4 with a recap and review of Hallmark Channel's new Loveuary rom-com 'An Unexpected Valentine', starring Lacey Chabert and Robert Buckley! Will this romp through the Big Apple lead to love? Why is parking (apparently) so easy in NYC? What, exactly, is a chocolate purse? WE. HAVE. QUESTIONS.And -- of course -- we'll answer a big one: Is it worth the watch??Let us know your thoughts in the comments and connect with us on social media. Les, Kurt, and Jason are sweet on this week's Valentine's Day movie for successfully breaking from the typical Hallmark formula in so many ways. But first, TheGrapeJuice.net is your new second favorite source for Blac Chyna news (after this podcast), and they know that Tokyo Toni is stirring it up with GloRilla. Then, the guys hop in the (not) Uber of An Unexpected Valentine. This movie doesn't just extend Lacey Chabert's reign as the queen of Hallmark, it solidifies it even while straying from the norms: the entire movie takes place on a single day, in a big city, showing us in real time how the couple falls for each other. Grab your chocolate purse and be ready to accept the proposal before being mesmerized by fireworks. In this final episode of our Merry Bingemas series, we dive deep into the chilling world of “Black Christmas,” the groundbreaking 1974 horror film directed by Bob Clark, and it's 2006 remake, directed by Glen Morgan. Join us as we explore how this flick, featuring standout performances by Olivia Hussey, Keir Dullea, Margot Kidder, and John Saxon, redefined the slasher genre long before it became mainstream. We discuss the film's innovative storytelling, its haunting atmosphere, and the impact it has had on both horror films and holiday traditions. As a fun little experiment, we compare the original film to the 2006 remake and see what changes were made in modernizing the story and if any of those changes resulted in a better take on the horror classic. What is clear is that “Black X-Mas” 2006 may have received negative reviews upon release and didn't light the box office on fire but it has turned into a cult classic among horror fans who have embraced it for all of its guilty pleasure slasher movie thrills. With a cast that includes Katie Cassidy, Michelle Trachtenberg, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Oliver Hudson, Lacey Chabert, Kristen Cloke, and Crystal Lowe, the 2006 certainly has its appeal but how does it stack up today and against the 1974 original? Listen in to find out! In addition, this episode marks the return of co-host Jackson Pye full time following a very busy school schedule! Welcome back Jackson! Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHJoinBilt.com/DTH - to start earning points on your rent payments!Christmas Vacation Tour - StandingOvationsLive.com The movie kicks off with Erin Cahill sleuthing around, and I'm very confused because Erin Cahill isn't Lacey Chabert. She's climbing rocks with one hand and gets up to a rock with some sort of message on it. Suddenly, the rock slides back, and she finds a notebook. She's pumped. AND THAT'S THE CHRISTMAS QUEST!We're back in Boston, MA, and Erin Cahill is back home with her daughter. Her daughter gives her a compass as a Christmas gift. They cuddle up on the couch, and Erin opens the special book, sharing the story of the Yule Lads. Suddenly, it's no longer Erin Cahill reading the story. Rather, it's Lacey Chabert, who is giving a lecture at Heast College about the book her mom found. Lacey's name is Dr. Baxter, Dr. Stefani Baxter! Her boss tells her she should go find the Yule Lads' treasure. She's skeptical, saying treasure hunters have been trying to find it for years, and her mom gave up. It's impossible. But he insists, presenting her with a map that might be helpful, and suggests she try to figure it out during Christmas break.Off she goes and finds a box with the Yule horn in it—pretty easily, actually. The horn is the key to finding the rest of the treasure, but she can't read the language on the horn. However, she knows someone who can—HER EX-HUSBAND, CHASE. He's happy to see her until he finds out it's just because she needs him to translate something. But when he realizes it's the Yule Horn, he can't help himself. When he finds out they're going to Iceland to try to find the rest of the treasure, he also can't resist. Chase is on the case! Off to Iceland!First stop is a church, where they find a message written on the bottom of one of the tiles. The second clue is a very cryptic message about light. They notice they're being watched by some people as they continue their journey. They travel a couple of hours to an amazing cave and find another clue. That night, they go to a bar, and she talks to a friend about what happened between them. She loves him, but he was never happy with how devoted she was to her work and expeditions, so she let him go.At the next hunt, they get stuck in a cave. One of the people who've been following them agrees to help them out.We then get a montage of them finding another handful of clues. This montage includes a baking sequence, so we're all better for it.The clues ultimately bring them to an art exhibit. The only problem is that it's closed for a fancy Christmas party. They get dressed up and almost kiss but are interrupted. They head to the party and manage to sneak in. They can't find the treasure anywhere, so they assume it must be in storage. They sneak a keycard from Hendrick. They get caught, so they just kiss to make the person go away. They find the final clue, and that's when the guy funding the quest shows up and drops the bomb that he's going to call the buyer to meet them! She says she thought this was going to a museum to help preserve history. He says, "As is." So she says, "I'm out!" But Chase says he'll stay in case they need someone to read something. It turns out he just wanted to stay close so he could steal the clue back. He meets back up with Stefani. As they're on their way to the final clue, Stefani realizes she may have been wrong about it. They head to the first location and find another tunnel. They figure out how to open the door, and on the other side, it's a Christmas wonderland full of Christmas... trinkets. They're both like, “What the heck? This isn't treasure. This is just junk.” But then she finds her mom's compass. She realizes her mom has already found all the clues and been in this room. She realizes that her mom suddenly stopped treasure hunting one day. She must have learned that the real treasure is the people in your life, not actual treasure. She finds a note her mom wrote her. They head out, and they hear the Yule Lads laughing as the door slams shut again. They kiss each other real big, the best treasure you can find. Then they go get some eggnog and kiss some more.
Think Christmas, think perfect chiselled abs. At least, that appears to be the message from Netflix's Hot Frosty and The Merry Gentlemen. The former sees Schitt's Creek's Dustin Milligan play a snowman come to life to fall in love with Lacey Chabert's cafe owner. The Merry Gentlemen, meanwhile, sees Britt Robertson's dancer turn Chad Michael Murray and friends into a topless dance revue to save her parents bar. Your host, Helen O'Hara (@HelenLOHara) sits down with stand-up comic and former MC of Magic Mike Live, David Morgan (@ThisIsDavid) to talk about the difference between chiselled and too chiselled, and what exactly is going on in these small towns... It's the holiday season, which means it's the holiday movie season, which means it's time for us to get to work. Because if you tune your TV to the Hallmark channel (or Lifetime, or Netflix, or anywhere else), you'll be assaulted by dozens of ridiculous new romantic holiday movies. A parade of big city girls will be returning to their quaint home towns to save their families' struggling mistletoe factories, and perhaps fall in love with some flannel-shirted dudes along the way. (And somehow, almost every movie stars Lacey Chabert.) So here on the Flopcast, we try to fix these movies by adding some weird random element. Can Christmas be saved by, for example, a gorilla suit? Amy's mom Marsh is in the house for this week's ep! Don't get excited…she's not talking much for some reason. She does yell from the living room occasionally though. They solve the mystery of why they didn't go to the same elementary school. Maya learns about “Pow Ball” and introduces Amy to ESPN Ocho and “Roof Ball”. Amy recaps the Netflix failed attempt to live broadcast the big fight. Maya puts herself in the shoes of the person in charge of the failed Netflix live broadcast. It's not a good feeling. Next up, an in-depth analysis of the Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum break-up. The ladies are totally jazzed for Christmas romcom season including “Hot Frosty”, a movie about Lacey Chabert (of Party of Five fame) falling in love with a hot snowman that comes to life. It's a good thing she didn't put that magic scarf on a dumpy snowman. Sad news, the gas station brand Kum & Go is rebranding.
In this episode we discuss a PSA to people who send bad photos, how we all need to start wearing the same outfit 24/7, how alarming it is that a child made this hofro, Dustin Milligan's striking appearance, the classic "curtain billowing in the wind" trope, the anatomy and intellectual makeup of a hofro, grown women taking advantage of a 3 day-old snowman, the financial abuse committed against Lacey, the small town politics of Hope Springs and SO MUCH MORE!!!

Les, Kurt, and Jason are officially in their tax season as it's now officially holiday movie time! But first, find out if Blac Chyna and Derrick Milano are signing a prenup and what someone named Suckafreeze thinks about it! Then it's time to talk about Netflix's latest salvo in the holiday movie viewership wars, Hot Frosty. Starring Hallmark royalty Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan (Ted from Schitt's Creek), this movie may be Lacy's Monster's Ball because of her character's mess of a housee (though they guys MAY be thinking of Charlize Theron's “Monster” instead for this analogy). With a supporting cast that includes Lauren Holly, Craig Robinson, and Joe Lo Truglio, and Crishell Stause, this movie is like Splash… but with medical records in Comic Sans. This week, Tommy is joined by actress Lacey Chabert who became an icon in pop culture history by playing Gretchen Wieners in Tina Fey's beloved movie, Mean Girls. Since then, she has accumulated countless credits to her name, including starring in over three dozen Hallmark movies. But now she is spreading the holiday cheer by joining Hot Frosty on Netflix, which hit #1 on the charts within 24 hours of its debut. Today, Lacey opens up about why she wanted to join this whimsical Christmas movie, that Lindsay Lohan cameo that lit the internet on fire, what it was like working as an actor at just 7 years old, growing up in front of the public eye, what reuniting last year with some of her Mean Girls cast meant to her, if she is down to do a Mean Girls Christmas movie, the family she formed while working on Party of Five, how even when life isn't easy she tries to find the joy, what her relationship is like with grief, why its important to allow yourself to feel sad in those moments, if she wants to return back to the Broadway stage one day, and so much more. We never disagree this much, but two new Christmas movies have inspired very different opinions from us on the latest episode of Breakfast All Day. First, we review "Red One," starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans as the only two people on the planet who can save Santa Claus (J.K. Simmons) when he's kidnapped. This is a $250 million blockbuster featuring major, A-list stars, but it's not exactly shaping up to be a huge hit. Do you plan on seeing it? Let us know. It's in theaters now. Then, we review the knowingly absurd Netflix Christmas comedy "Hot Frosty." Dustin Milligan stars as a snowman who comes to life in the form of a hunky handyman when a widow (holiday movie veteran Lacey Chabert) wraps a red scarf around his neck. One of us liked this much more than the other, and it may surprise you. Craig Robinson and Joe Lo Truglio co-star. Streaming now. Finally, in our weekly Movie News LIVE!, we discuss the new "Mission: Impossible" trailer, Conan O'Brien hosting the 2025 Oscars, why we left Twitter, where we were on Y2K and much more.
