Do You Believe that “He {God} gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life”? MESSAGE SUMMARY: You have got to believe; but until you get your thinking right, your life will not change – you have got to believe! It is hard for some people, today, to believe in the miraculous birth of Jesus celebrated on Christmas day. Ok, just start where you are in what you believe. Can you believe that you are a sinner? Can you believe that you are not perfect? Can you believe that you have violated God's laws? Despite this life background, can you believe that God loves you just as you now are? Can you believe that God sent His Only Son, Jesus, to save all that believe in Him so that you would not perish but have eternal life? Maybe this is where you start in believing in the miraculous birth of Jesus; you need to start where you are. Jesus' life was defined by His death on the cross and by His resurrection, thereby, living up to the translation of His name, Jesus – “Salvation”. The Apostle John succinctly summarized the purpose of Jesus birth in John3:16-17: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.". TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, fill me with the simple trust that even out of the most awful evil around me, you are able to bring great good — for me, for others, and for your great glory. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 91). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will entrust to Him my future. I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day. From 2 Timothy 1:12 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): John 1:1-18; Luke 1:27-38; Luke 2:1-22; John 20:27-29; Psalms 69b:13-24. A WORD FROM THE LORD WEBSITE: www.AWFTL.org. RHLSTP Book Club #168 - Do You Believe in Ghosts? - Rich is back at the podcast to talk to fellow TWTTIN alumnus, Danny Robins about his fun and spooky kids' book “Do You Believe in Ghosts?” They chat about the amazing media empire that he's built up around his interest in spectres, how his play was partly responsible for Lily Allen's new album, whether getting kids interested in the supernatural risks sending them down conspiracy theory rabbit holes, risking his own kids' safety to put his theories to the test, the importance of an open mind with a healthy dose of scepticism, playing the Albert Hall and the power of darkness.Buy the book here - https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/do-you-believe-in-ghosts-danny-robins/55ad139b21c34ac4SUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPE Hosted on Acast. Why do we read the Bible—and how does it actually change our lives? In this message from our Do You Believe series, Pastor Lawson walks through why God's Word matters, how it shapes our faith, and what happens when Scripture moves from head knowledge to heart transformation. From powerful personal stories to clear biblical teaching, this message reminds us that the Bible isn't just a book to know—it's a living, active Word that convicts, empowers, guides, and centers us on Jesus.

What do you believe about money?Money isn't good or bad, but it does reveal what's in our hearts. In this message from the Do You Believe? series, we look at what Jesus and Scripture actually teach about money, stewardship, and trust in God.Jesus was clear: we can't serve both God and money. So how do we live as slaves of righteousness instead of letting money control our decisions, our anxiety, or our future? In this message, you'll hear about:Why money is neutral, but powerful.Three common mindsets around money. How fear, pride, and trust shape our finances. What it means to live open-handed before God.Why seeking God's Kingdom first changes everything. This isn't a message about pressure or guilt, it's about freedom, obedience, and trusting God as our provider.

Do you really believe the Bible is true—and if so, is it shaping how you live?In this message from our Do You Believe? series, we walk through Romans 1–6 to answer a foundational question: Who is your master—sin or Jesus? The Apostle Paul makes it clear that grace doesn't give us permission to keep sinning; grace changes masters. Through Christ, we are set free from sin, not free in sin. This message challenges us to examine our lives honestly, confront the sins that try to rule us, and discover what it truly means to be slaves of righteousness.

Programa que pone el broche final a la temporada 2025 y, para redondear los homenajes a discos publicados en años terminados en 5, lo dedico al glorioso año de 1965, es decir discos que cumplen nada más y nada menos que 60 años. A surprise not-totally-festive edition of Radio Clash, where I talk about a bird I think about a lot (the lost Kauaʻi ʻōʻō bird – apologies for the transliteration but those special symbols will likely gum up the works in the feed and tags) and what Christmas means to me now… I play some new and old mashups and original music – some of which is my favourites of the year, but mostly older since I don’t listen to music in the same way anymore. Loving the new Saint Etienne and Lily Allen albums though, and K-Pop Demon Hunters (DERPY 4EVAH!) and new-ish music from B. Dolan, Hallmighty and Lankum. Buckingham Nicks album gets a timely re-release (are they talking again?) so talk about that and the legendary Coffee Plant demos – and visit Aidan Moffat and RM Hubbert’s Christmas Ghost Stories album…and play the last of my choices from Tom Rasmussen’s amazing Body Building album. And some festive? festering? tracks that have been on ice stuck at the North Pole since Xmas two years ago. Joy to the world and all that, there’s a theme about wanting 2026 to be a lot less shit…but not that hopeful, concentrating on what Xmas is supposed to be about, rather than all the capitalism, food and tradition. Peace on earth for all would be a nice place to start? Do You Believe? - Questions That Shape Us Week 5
This past Sunday we continued our Do You Believe? series, focusing on the Belief in the Unexpected within Luke 2:8–20 and saw how God reveals His glory in surprising ways. God chose unexpected people—the shepherds—and used unexpected means to announce the birth of the Savior. When God's glory was revealed, it led to unexpected responses of faith, obedience, and praise, reminding us to remain open to how God may work beyond our expectations.

If you're searching for the perfect present for the readers in your life, this list of Christmas book recommendations 2025 has something for everyone, from your spouse and parents to siblings and friends. Forget the popularity contests; these are 13 compulsively readable books, read cover-to-cover, that are guaranteed to surprise and delight. This is the ultimate Books and Looks podcast wish list, curated to solve the overwhelming problem of choosing from over a million books published each year. Blaine dives deep into his top picks across a wide range of genres, ensuring you'll find the perfect match for any taste. We start with some of the best nonfiction books 2025 has to offer, exploring pressing geopolitical issues in America in the Arctic by Mary Thompson-Jones and getting a stunning insider's view of modern Russia with Jill Doherty's My Russia. The episode then moves into a collection of unique memoir recommendations that celebrate the human spirit, from Marie Leautey's incredible story of running a marathon every single day in Leautey's World Run to John Seabrook's fascinating and complex family history in The Spinach King, the story of the family that made frozen lima beans a household staple. We also follow Graham Broyd's journey in Backpack, Jacket, Surfboard, as he retraces his 1980 hitchhiking trip across America. The list continues with incredible historical fiction and mystery books, including Sarah Dunant's masterful novel The Marquesa, which brings to life the first woman of the Italian Renaissance, Isabella d'Este. Blaine also highlights captivating biographies, such as Sister Aimee, Claire Hoffman's look at the spectacular rise and fall of Pentecostal preacher Aimee Semple McPherson, and Jan Gradvall's The Story of ABBA, offering an exclusive look into the lives of the iconic supergroup. We explore captivating nonfiction, from the surprisingly fascinating story of a despised bird in Starlings by Mike Stark to disappearing global traditions in Eliot Stein's Custodians of Wonder. David Krell's Do You Believe in Magic? provides a vibrant snapshot of America during the disco era of 1978. Finally, for those who love a good page-turner, Blaine recommends two compulsively readable mysteries: Danger, No Problem by Cindy F. Fariña, a thriller featuring a Filipino-American bounty hunter, and Ivory Bones by Sara Winokur, which centers on the mysterious and valuable Lewis Chessmen. These Christmas book recommendations 2025 are the best of the best from a year of reading.

Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four Halloween takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Buck's Gentle Nudge Buck Sexton encourages voter turnout ahead of the upcoming off-year elections, spotlighting key races in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City. He emphasizes the importance of civic engagement and early voting, particularly in tight contests like the New Jersey gubernatorial race and the NYC mayoral and city council elections. A major focus of the hour is the ongoing government shutdown, which Buck attributes to Democratic leadership, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. He critiques their handling of negotiations and highlights the impact on federal workers, especially air traffic controllers and TSA agents, citing safety concerns and economic stress. Buck argues that Republicans are pushing for a clean continuing resolution to reopen the government, while Democrats are obstructing progress for political leverage. Healthcare policy also comes under scrutiny, with Buck condemning the legacy of Obamacare and current Democratic efforts to expand subsidies and entitlements. He frames these moves as part of a broader welfare state agenda that burdens taxpayers and prioritizes illegal immigrants, particularly in sanctuary cities like New York. Why Elections Matter Guest Karol Markowicz joins to offer insights on NYC politics and cultural shifts, especially from the perspective of Russian Jewish communities in Brooklyn. She discusses the ideological divide between conservative immigrant populations and progressive enclaves like Park Slope and the Upper West Side. The conversation touches on Jewish voter trends, noting a significant shift away from Democratic candidates in recent elections. Kamala, Are You Serious? Clay’s travel nightmare amid widespread airport chaos caused by the ongoing government shutdown, highlighting how air traffic controller shortages and TSA delays are creating nationwide disruptions. This segues into a sharp critique of Democratic leadership, with Buck questioning whether mounting pressure from unions and airline executives will force Democrats to end the standoff. The conversation then shifts to Kamala Harris’s controversial book tour and her attempts to defend the Biden administration’s handling of President Biden’s cognitive decline. Buck dismantles Harris’s argument that Biden was fit to govern but not to campaign, calling it “absurd” and pointing out the administration’s deception about Biden’s mental state. Harris’s excuses for her crushing 2024 election loss to Donald Trump—including claims of “misinformation,” “disinformation,” and the “Elon Musk factor”—are dissected in detail. Buck argues that Harris’s failure reflects a broader rejection of identity politics and DEI-driven promotions, emphasizing that voters now demand competence over optics. Do You Believe? Buck welcomes Miranda Devine, host of Pod Force One, for an in-depth discussion on her recent interview with Vice President JD Vance. Topics include the administration’s stance on Russia-Ukraine peace prospects, the fallout from Zelensky’s Oval Office clash with Trump, and growing speculation about U.S. military operations in Venezuela—raising questions about whether these strikes target drug cartels or signal regime change. Miranda also shares JD Vance’s candid thoughts on UFOs and spiritual forces, his Catholic faith, and personal anecdotes about President Trump’s work ethic and family-friendly demeanor, offering listeners a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the White House. In the fifty-ninth episode of Making Mt. Rushmore, host/moderator Steve Riddle welcomes Steve Bennett and James Gruenberg to discuss which Sports Moments deserve a place on their respective lists. Is the Miracle on Ice a no-brainer? What about the Saints winning Super Bowl XLIV? Does the David Tyree helmet catch in Super Bowl XLII grab a spot? Does the Michael Jordan buzzer beater in the 1998 NBA Finals or the Cubs winning the 2016 World Series deserve a place? After that, they discuss which Sports Calls will be part of that grouping. Can you argue that "Do You Believe in Miracles?" shouldn't get a spot? Will "Behind the Bag" be included? Is "May Day, May Day, May Day" in the conversation? What about "The Red Sox are World Champions" or "Havlicek Stole the Ball"? Prior to that, the trio pay tribute to the memory of Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osbourne, and Hulk Hogan.

Wellness + Wisdom | Episode 744 How does astrology reveal your cosmic blueprint? Astrologer Debra Silverman joins Josh Trent on the Wellness + Wisdom Podcast, episode 744, to reveal how the patterns of sacred geometry and planetary cycles can act as a shortcut to self-awareness, why astrology was silenced by religion, how the four elements unlock your highest potential, what it really means to be an “old soul,” and why true authenticity blooms when you align with your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs. "You come with an assignment to learn or to do something, and you have to remember it. And that's what astrology's for. You can have a personality type that has problems. The whole system is based on geometry, and sacred geometry is pattern recognition. There are these repetitive patterns that come on and on and on." - Debra Silverman Relationships Are The Hardest Lesson "The hardest lesson on planet Earth according to astrology is relationships: marriage, partnership, friendships, business partners, and commitments. Can we stay loyal? Can we listen to the other? Can we step over our egos? Can we really care about the other? That's 101 why we're here." - Debra Silverman We're Entering The Golden Age "We're at the very end right now of the Age of Forgetting. And we're just entering the Golden Age. But we're in this very thin threshold between worlds where we're going to be done with this old system. You and your children are heralding in an entirely new way of being. In the meantime, the transition is painful because we're so confused." - Debra Silverman Links From Today's Show Debra Silverman I Don't Believe in Astrology by Debra Silverman J.P.
