Chartrulean was destined to be the messiah the people wanted, but abandoned a life of piety to become what he believed his world needed. Now a delicate game of politics is afoot, and Chartrulean is torn between those he's grown to trust and the gods he's angered. He must reconcile with both before succumbing to the madness he created.
Hi guys, H.M. Radcliff here, the creator of The Madness of Chartrulean. We're in a bit of a production hiatus for season 2, which means you're not going to hear anything for a while. So I wanted to share with you all another podcast you might enjoy listening to. If what you enjoy about Chartrulean is the cinematic sound design and some of the more cyyberpunk-forward themes, in particular the paladins and their fancy wearable tech (which we'll get to see a lot more of in the next season), then you might enjoy Project Pulse. -- A future reborn through augmented reality gives way to the greatest sport the world has ever known. Project Pulse, a three on three battle of wills in an ever changing arena, became the center of the world. And for a young, blind boy with a suffering family, the draw to step on that field and prove himself is simply too hard to resist. The full might of Phoenix Dawn clashes to decide the future of the team.
Havelion resolves to fix things. No matter the cost. Listen to Project Pulse When we imagined our future, most believed we would escape. Be it through space travel or in giving up this reality entirely for a virtual one of our own creation. It's easy to see why. Screens became our home. Our comfort. The natural world around us blurred into the background as the pixels in front of us beckoned onward into isolation. But on April 15, 2022, the world changed forever. Project Pulse follows a young boy named Derrick Walker who navigates this beautiful and suffering world in transition as the last blind child in existence. -- Havelion's Journal is a companion to The Madness of Chartrulean, a full cast audio drama. Transcript here! Hello friends of Echoes (In) Between! A few weeks ago, we had the honor of participating in the first ever Phonic Fiction Fest! Participants in this festival were required to form teams and then make a self contained horror short in one of three assigned sub-genres, which had to include a specific line of dialogue and a specific sound effect. Our assigned genre was Horror Noir, so we decided to take things in a Cyberpunk direction, ala Blade Runner, and Justice Served is the result. Our amazing team mates included Emily Inkpen, co-creator of The Dex Legacy, AMC, creator of The Vesta Clinic, and Loretta Chang, an amazingly talented voice artist. The story was conceived of by Jess and Bronson, with help from AMC. Jess then wrote the script in 3 hours, sent it off to everyone for their vocal performances, and then edited the dialogue. Then it was Bronson's turn to put his sound and music wizardry into it and bring it to life before the 48 hour deadline expired! We were so honored to have been voted Best Horror Noir along with Best Sound Design and Best Original SFX. We also placed second in Acting, Story, Original Music, and Best Overall (for the first place winner in those categories, check out our friends at Packhowl/The Madness of Chartrulean's stellar entry, Emet). If you want to hear all 25 entries, make sure to head over to the Phonic Fiction Fest feed. There's so much brilliance there that it's hard to believe everyone was able to churn out these masterpieces in only 48 hours! Please enjoy this extra bit of spookiness as a Halloween treat! We'll be back with the trick later today... stay tuned.

Hi! I'm Aud Andrews, and I am the voice of Chartrulean in Packhowl Media's audio series, The Madness of Chartrulean. It's an off world science fiction fantasy epic that digs into the mind of Chartrulean, the eccentric inventor of a new form of energy. The abuse of this new energy sets off a chain of events that leads to questions about humanity, as Chartrulean now has to navigate his planet's complicated social and political landscape. But there's a layer of cosmic mystery to this story. There are forces at work that really can't be explained. I think, though, that the show ultimately examines the meaning of progress and is a statement about our own society's deification of technology. But it does this through the relationships and the backstories of its characters. What really drew me to the role, however, was the themes of impostor syndrome, personal and social anxiety, depression and trauma. Things that I'm personally familiar with and that I wanted to portray as honestly as possible. Visit Chartrulean.com to learn more. The planet's leaders clamber to receive the Rau's envoy while sweeping any signs of civil unrest under the rug. All the while, strange cosmic forces are at work, warning of impending doom. Chartrulean receives a curious gift and prepares to enter a fraught political landscape. Content warning: explosions. Transcripts are available at https://chartrulean.com/listen.
