Without a doubt, it is now clear Senator Lindsey Graham is executing the familiar chaff and countermeasure approach to cover-up the former administration surveillance abuses. Here are four specific reasons that clarity is assured. It's the report the world has been waiting for! With the redacted Mueller Report being released this week, Tara talks to MSNBC Contributor and Politico national security correspondent, Natasha Bertrand about the questions she hopes are answered by the report, the toll Trump's attacks on the intel community have taken, interesting insider tidbits about Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein's reaction after the Comey firing and more! Today's Rapid Response episode takes a look at the just-released Law'd Awful Memo written by Attorney General nominee Bill Barr and sent to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein concerning the Mueller investigation. Are the argument(s) raised in the memo any good? What does this mean for the future of the Mueller investigation? Listen and find out! We begin, however, with a brief foray into everyone's favorite show topic: BASEBALL LAW! Find out about the agreement reached between MLB and Cuba, and how (of course) Donald Trump can screw it up. After that, it's time for an Andrew Was Wrong (and Maybe Not Wrong) on David Pecker and AMI. Along the way, we'll learn about the corruption case against Sun-Diamond Growers in connection with former Agriculture Secretary (and nearly-Senator) Mike Espy. Then, we delve deeply into the Barr memo, taking apart the legal "arguments" and featuring a guest appearance from one Antonin Scalia! Then, it's time to tackle the rather surprising decision by Judge Sullivan in the Michael Flynn sentencing phase. What happened? Did he go off the rails? After all that, we end with an all new Thomas (and Matt!) Takes The Bar Exam #106 on how to best transport heroin from Kansas City to Chicago and what the judge can instruct the jury... it's complicated, but you won't want to miss it! And, as always, if you'd like to play along with us, just retweet our episode on Twitter or share it on Facebook along with your guess and the #TTTBE hashtag. We'll release the answer on next Tuesday's episode along with our favorite entry! Appearances None! On this week's episode of Versus Trump, the gang is re-united, and they discuss the Supreme Court motion contending that Matthew Whitaker was not legally appointed as Acting Attorney General.Jason, Easha, and Charlie finally get a chance to do a three-person pod, and they use it to discuss Michaels v. Whitaker (or Rosenstein?). In this case, a Supreme Court petitioner has filed a motion to substitute Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein as Acting Attorney General instead of Matthew Whitaker, whom Trump designated, on the ground that Whitaker's appointment is illegal. The gang discuss the statutory law governing appointments as well as the impact of the Appointments Clause of the Constitution. They then wonder whether the Supreme Court may take up the issue directly or whether the question is more likely to first work its way through lower courts. You can find us at @VersusTrumpPod on twitter, or send us an email at versustrumppodcast@gmail.com. You can buy t-shirts and other goods with our super-cool logo here. NotesSCOTUSblog's case page is here. Tension has existed for decades between law enforcement and privacy advocates over data encryption. The United States government has consistently lobbied for the creation of so-called backdoors in encryption schemes that would give law enforcement a way in to otherwise unreadable data. Meanwhile, cryptographers have universally decried the notion as unworkable. But at a cybercrime symposium at the Georgetown University Law School on Thursday, deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein renewed the call.
As recounts continue in Florida for the gubernatorial and Senate races, and Georgia continues tallying votes in its gubernatorial election, Heritage Foundation's Hans von Spakvosky, an expert on voter fraud, joins us to discuss what's really going on--and causes for concern about shenanigans. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders dismissed the lawsuit as “more grandstanding from CNN."--The attorney general of Maryland is now asking a federal court to block Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker from serving as acting attorney general, and to name Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein in his place.--Calling for a "green new deal," Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio Cortez joined a protest over climate issues in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office. The Daily Signal podcast is available on Ricochet, iTunes, SoundCloud, Google Play, or Stitcher. The Drumbeat to Declassify. Is it time for President Trump to put an end to the farce and simply declassify documents related to FISA applications, Woods Procedures, 302s and 1023s? The Wall Street Journal thinks so, as does Kimberly Strassel and NRO's Andrew McCarthy. We listen to Rep. Devin Nunes repeat his calls for declassification and describe his next moves investigating the State Department. The Conservative Treehouse boils the threads of our current political theatre down to "the abuse of the intelligence apparatus for political power." The fons et origo. But what are the obstacles to declassification? Would Mueller immediately charge obstruction? If so, should Trump care? Meanwhile, Lisa Page appears to have become a forthcoming and cooperative witness, earning praise from Reps. Mark Meadows and John Ratcliffe. Why did Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein fail to notify Page of her need to testify? Should an untrustworthy Rosenstein be impeached? We might be getting there. Plus, according to Newt Gingrich and market analyst Mohamed El Arian, America is poised to Win the Trade War. A MAGA boon to America's Middle Class, a positive rebalancing of our economy. Mueller's Fruit of the Poisonous Tree. Latest Updates on the Criminal Deep State. A slow-walking DOJ has handed over "some" documents and has "partially complied" with congressional subpoenas. But we're afraid this isn't quite good enough, and it's time for Congress to press ahead with "contempt" charges against Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein. We examine the "cover up" of Peter Strzok's bombshell "stop" Trump text message, as he loses his security clearance and is finally escorted out of the FBI building. We consider Spy Christopher Steele's previously unreported visit to the State Department in October 2016. Brokered by Victoria Nuland? Rep. Mark Meadows unmasks two FBI personages, Sally Moyer and Kevin Clinesmith, and their extreme "antecedent political bias." The wheels keep on falling off the Mueller Investigation. Meanwhile, Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin fumbles a question about Obama's immigration policies, and we review the long list of failed MSM attacks on Trump -- as suavely beaten back on Backbone Radio for over three years running. On Friday’s Mark Levin show, we’re not doing enough to protect our kids, we need to harden our schools. There are certain things that need to be done as basic safety measures in our schools. There needs to be armed security personnel, not just one resource officer. When new schools are built they need to take safety into consideration. This won’t stop every situation, but it will help. Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor of Texas, calls in and explains that Texas allows teachers to be armed in schools but they leave it up to the parents and the individual school boards to decide. School board members better go off their butts and do something – they are in charge. Also, the Obama Administration used their power like none other in history to try and influence 2016 election. There are things President Trump needs to do as soon as Robert Mueller turns in his report to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein. Trump should appoint a special counsel to investigate the interference in the election by the CIA, FBI, and the Obama administration’s top intelligence officials. Trump should also appoint a commission to reform the government to prevent this from happening to any future president of the United States. Finally, UN Human Rights Council voted to send war crimes investigators to probe the shootings of Gaza protesters by Israeli forces. The UN is such an anti-Semitic operation, they take the side of terrorists and it’s appalling we subsidize them with our money. We ought to get out of UN and start one of free and democratic countries. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Was British Intelligence involved in the manufacture of the Trump-Russia Collusion narrative? We explore this unsavory possibility and surmise potential consequences for the longstanding "Special Relationship" between America and Britain. Why was FBI Peter Strzok in London in August 2016? How did Maltese Professor Joseph Mifsud develop a relationship in London with former Trump advisor George Papadopoulos? Who was the shady Mifsud really working for, and why has he since been disappeared? How do British Spy Christopher Steele, British music promoter Robert Goldstone, and Aussie Alexander Downer figure into this Global Deep State scenario? Meanwhile, new details emerge about FBI Andrew McCabe's firing for "lack of candor." AG Jeff Sessions finally allows congressional access to FISA documents, and reveals he has hired Utah prosecutor John Huber to work with Inspector General Horowitz. Apparently, Huber has the power to search, subpoena and also "ask a grand jury to indict." So no need for a Second Special Counsel? We thus advise laying off Sessions, for the time being, and offer breaking news on the DOJ's additional appointment of U.S. Attorney John Lausch. Plus, we review our concerns about "black hat" Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, whom Joe diGenova describes as a "coward" and a "disgrace" and "an embarrassment." Also, our notes on a potential Trade War with China, in which America holds "all the high cards," sayeth Gordon Chang. With Listener Calls & Music via Merle Haggard and Bill Monroe. The FBI has announced a press conference tomorrow in the case headlined by Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein.
Opening Monologue. "Meddling" now replaces "Collusion" in the Media's ongoing Russian Narrative Hoax. Detailing Mueller's latest Nothingburger, indicting 13 Russian nationals for demonstrably picayune activities. It's Scooby Doo time for the Special Counsel. If it weren't for those Meddling Russians! Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein makes the "unwitting" case, and describes the accused Russians as having been on all sides of the electoral equation. Fred Fleitz of Fox News says: "Boom. The Democratic Trump-Russia Collusion narrative is dead." The Matrix Collapsing. However, MSNBC's hyperbolic Brian Williams & Nicole Wallace compare recent "Russian meddling" to an actual "political 9/11." Maintaining perspective, we ask: Has Mueller become a comedian? Meanwhile, we speculate on Democratic efforts to appeal for a 'backroom truce' with Trump on Deep State Gate. Our advice to Trump: No Deal. Let's keep following the white rabbit. With Listener Calls & Music via Zakk Wilde, Pride & Glory, Rage Against the Machine, Eric Church, Morrissey and the Everly Brothers.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Rep. Devin Nunes, Dairy Farmer and American Hero. We sample Nunes' interview with Bret Baier of Fox News, addressing critics of the Memo including Rep. Eric Swalwell and the duplicitous James Comey. MSNBC's Joe Scarborough condescends upon Nunes, saying he "would have been better off remaining a dairy farmer." Sen. Chuck Schumer warns "the Kremlin" has been involved. Meanwhile, Byron York of the Washington Examiner examines and defends the Memo. Rep. Matt Gaetz offers his pointed summarium. Is a second Special Counsel needed? Why did FISA Judge Rudolph Contreras recuse from the Flynn case? We discuss the forthcoming Grassley Memo, and its relationship to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein. Why are Democrats protecting Rosenstein? Early Innings. Trump hits 49% approvals after masterful State of the Union Address. Will Media soon be forced to "normalize" the President? Notes on "The Americans" TV series and "The Post" movie with Meryl Streep. With Listener Calls & Music via Marco Mengoni, Giorgia, Helene Fischer and Led Zeppelin.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Matt Dunn hosts the Dan Caplis Show. In spite of it all, President Trump appears to be winning, slowly overcoming the embedded national political power structure. Fighting onward against the Uniparty Establishment, Trump's approval ratings have risen to 50 percent levels as the economy brightens and the credibility of the Hostile Media continues to erode. Meanwhile, former NBA star Dennis Rodman travels to North Korea to ease international tensions. His mission might be succeeding, with Kim Jong Un's sudden release of political prisoner Otto Warmbier. Could Rodman be a contender for the Nobel Peace Prize? Also, Oliver Stone discusses the Deep State and we review the ongoing uselessness of Establishment Republicans. Special Counsel Robert Mueller, good friend of James Comey, hires a raft of Democratic prosecutors and may already be leaking to the Washington Post. Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein responds. Plus, notes on the undemocratic, unaccountable leftist "Resistance" strategies. With Listener Calls & Music via John Lennon, Hall & Oates, Zac Brown and Coldplay.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein appoints a special prosecutor to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election. But, what are they really after? Also, Fox News Channel mourns the loss of Roger Ailes and sees their ratings continue to decline thanks to the Murdoch boys.
