First up, Ralph welcomes back constitutional law expert Bruce Fein to talk about his reaction to Donald Trump's inaugural address. Then Ralph is joined by Public Citizen Co-President Robert Weissman to discuss Public Citizen's lawsuit against Trump regarding Elon Musk's D.O.G.E task force. Finally, Ralph speaks with Public Citizen's Government Affairs lobbyist Craig Holman about the flood of donations from corporations and billionaires to Trump's inaugural fund.Bruce Fein is a Constitutional scholar and an expert on international law. Mr. Fein was Associate Deputy Attorney General under Ronald Reagan and he is the author of Constitutional Peril: The Life and Death Struggle for Our Constitution and Democracy, and American Empire: Before the Fall.Sitting on that platform at the inauguration was probably trillions of dollars held by individuals—not by companies, just individuals—fabulous wealth. And you have to ask, if these are business people, why are you at the political event? Why aren't you building a better mousetrap? Why aren't you like Thomas Edison, looking to find new ways of doing business? It's because all of their profits come from manipulating government in their favor. It's the opposite of so-called capitalism.Bruce FeinRemember that this lust for power transcends all reason, and that we're endowed with that lust.Bruce FeinRobert Weissman is a staunch public interest advocate and activist, as well as an expert on a wide variety of issues ranging from corporate accountability and government transparency, to trade and globalization, to economic and regulatory policy. As the President of Public Citizen, he has spearheaded the effort to loosen the chokehold corporations and the wealthy have over our democracy. The alleged purpose [of D.O.G.E.] is to advance efficiency of the government. But what it's really about is rolling back regulations—the things that give us clean air, clean water, safe food, fair workplace, economic justice, protections against discrimination, and more—to benefit corporate bottom lines, on the one hand, and on the other, to pursue a right-wing libertarian extremist agenda with slashing government spending, especially to protect the most poor and vulnerable.Robert WeissmanMusk said at first he wanted to try to cut $2 trillion from the budget every year. That's an impossibility, since the entire budget of discretionary spending is less than $2 trillion. Apparently, if you're the richest person in the history of the world, you don't actually have to know anything that you're talking about to be taken seriously.Robert WeissmanCraig Holman serves as Public Citizen's Capitol Hill lobbyist on ethics, lobbying, and campaign finance rules. He is also working with European nongovernmental organizations and members of the European Commission and Parliament in developing a lobbyist registration system for the European Union. Previously, he was senior policy analyst at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law, and he has assisted in drafting campaign finance reform legislation (including pay-to-play legislation), and has conducted numerous research projects on the initiative process and the impact of money in politics. What's interesting is that some previous inaugural committees…didn't want to make it look like their administration's on the auction block by taking million-dollar donations from special interests and corporations. And so Bush had limited contributions to $100,000, Obama limited to $50,000 as well—they just didn't want it to look like they're putting their whole administration on the auction block. Trump doesn't seem to care about that.Craig HolmanNews 1/22/25* On January 20th, Joe Biden handed over the presidency to Donald Trump. In one of his last acts before leaving office, former President Biden commuted the sentence of Indigenous activist Leonard Peltier, NPR reports. Peltier has been imprisoned for nearly 50 years following his conviction for the murder of two FBI agents at the Pine Ridge reservation; he has never wavered in maintaining his innocence. Despite Peltier being 80 years old and in increasingly poor health, NPR reports FBI Director Christopher Wray urged Biden not to “pardon Leonard Peltier or cut his sentence short.” Biden ultimately did not pardon Peltier, instead merely allowing him to complete his sentence under house arrest. In a statement, Peltier himself said “It's finally over — I'm going home…I want to show the world I'm a good person with a good heart.” Friend of the show Tom Morello, a longtime advocate for Peltier's release, wrote “Leonard has become a friend over the years and I am so glad…he will be able to spend his remaining years with family and friends.” Peltier's daughter Kathy, shocked by Biden's last-minute commutation after decades of being rebuffed by successive presidents of both parties, said “I'm just thankful that he had the balls and the guts to do it.”* Donald Trump was inaugurated on Monday, making him the first president in the modern era to serve non-consecutive terms. Immediately following his formal assumption of power, he issued a flurry of executive orders, including an exhaustive list of “rescissions” of Biden's executive actions. Among these, POLITICO reports that Trump immediately put Cuba back on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, signifying a return to the bad old days of hostility towards our island neighbor. This is only expected to worsen with American foreign policy being directed by Marco Rubio. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel called Trump's reversal “an act of arrogance and disregard for truth,” adding “the legitimate and noble cause of our people will prevail and we will once again succeed.”* Another Trump executive order issued Monday formally created the Department of Government Efficiency, aka DOGE. However, it seems that instead of creating a new agency, this action mainly just renamed the U.S. Digital Service – an existing executive branch office – the U.S. DOGE service. Moreover, this newly redubbed USDS does not appear to have a mandate to cut the federal workforce. Instead, it seems to be primarily concerned with updating federal information technology systems. Reading between the lines, it seems likely that Trump is putting Elon Musk in charge of this federal IT agency as a means to dole out public money to the tech oligarch and his cronies, rather than streamline the functions of the federal government.* In more Big Tech news, CBS reports President Trump is “set to announce billions of dollars in private sector investment to build artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United States.” According to this report, OpenAI, Softbank and Oracle are planning a joint venture called “Stargate,” to begin with a massive data center in Texas. These corporations are planning to pour $500 billion into this project over the next four years. This will almost certainly be augmented by public funds provided by the Trump administration.* Turning to Gaza, Democracy Now! reported Saturday that both Biden and Trump gave Israel the “green light” to resume the assault on Gaza if Netanyahu felt it necessary. This piece quotes Netanyahu, saying that both presidents “gave full backing to Israel's right to return to fighting if Israel reaches the conclusion that negotiations of the second stage is fruitless.” As this piece notes, Israel killed approximately 200 Palestinians after the ceasefire was agreed upon last Wednesday. We can only hope the ceasefire holds and that President Trump sticks to his commitment to enforce the deal.* At the same time, friend of the show Norman Solomon is out with a piece in the Hill on the class action lawsuit filed by 800 Northern California residents, including Solomon himself, against their Democratic representatives in Congress, alleging that they are “illegally helping to provide weapons to Israel for use in committing genocide in Gaza.” As Solomon admits, the suit, directed against Congressmen Jared Huffman and Mike Thompson is unlikely to get far. However, he does believe both that the funding of the genocidal war is illegal under the humanitarian Leahy Laws and that these lawsuits can apply much needed scrutiny to these members and force them to register the opposition of their constituents to their positions – something with which many Democrats have refused to reckon. Solomon hopes to make Gaza a defining issue in the 2026 California Democratic Congressional primaries.* Two weeks ago, we discussed the American Historical Association's vote to condemn the “scholasticide” occurring in Gaza. Since then however, the AHA has tried to backpedal and delegitimize that vote. On January 17th, the AHA Council released a statement in which they write that while they deplore “any intentional destruction of Palestinian educational institutions, libraries, universities, and archives in Gaza,” the council considers the scholasticide resolution “outside the scope of the Association's mission and purpose.” The AHA Council therefore decided to disregard the vote of its membership and unilaterally veto the resolution. This cowardly and disgraceful decision to nullify the voice of America's historians will ironically be a stain on the history of the organization itself.* In more foreign affairs news, the crisis in South Korea continues to deepen. Last week, President Yoon was formally incarcerated pending his trial before the country's Constitutional Court after he attempted to seize power in a coup. Upon his detention, South Korean political newsletter Blue Roof reported that “Pro-Yoon supporters are rioting… storming the courthouse and attacking the marshals.” Security forces however were able to subdue the rioters, per Reuters. The Constitutional Court will now decide whether or not to remove Yoon from the presidency. Yoon could also face a trial on insurrection charges which would carry penalties up to and including life in prison and even capital punishment.* Turning back to domestic news, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, representing the cops of Philadelphia, is currently engaging in contract negotiations with the city – and making outrageous new demands. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that beyond pay raises and better vacation policy, “the police union is seeking to roll back transparency and accountability measures that predate the COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest of 2020.” Indeed, the FOP is seeking to terminate the department's decade-long policy of releasing the names of most officers involved in shootings, prevent the Citizens Police Oversight Commission from investigating police misconduct, and “restrict outside access to currently available records ― such as those detailing how fired officers return to the force through the once-secretive grievance arbitration process.” Beyond these measures to make the police more secretive and less accountable to the public, the FOP is also demanding outrageous new perks for police officers, including interest free home loans and provisions allowing cops to live outside the state. We can only hope the city remains firm in these negotiations and preserves the public's right to know* Finally, CNN is out with a new poll showing the Democratic Party registering its worst ratings in decades. According to this poll, “a 58% majority of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents say that the…Party needs major changes, or to be completely reformed, up from just 34% who said the same after…2022.” This comes on the heels of a January 15th YouGov poll showing that a plurality of Biden 2020 voters who didn't vote for Kamala Harris in 2024 said “ending Israel's violence in Gaza was the top issue affecting their vote choice.” The CNN poll also showed that “Only 49% of Democratic-aligned adults say they expect their party's congressional representatives to be even somewhat effective at resisting GOP policies.” Yet, perhaps the starkest number from this poll is “just 33% of all Americans express a favorable view of the Democratic Party, an all-time low in CNN's polling dating back to 1992.” These abysmal results should be a wakeup call to the moribund leadership of the party as the country drives of a cliff. If history is any indication though, the Democrats will remain asleep at the wheel. This has been Francesco DeSantis, with In Case You Haven't Heard. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Cuban pastor released from prison Cuban Protestant pastor Lorenzo Rosales Fajardo was released from prison following the United States' announcement that it would remove Cuba from its list of state sponsors of terrorism. Pastor Fajardo was one of 553 political prisoners chosen to be released as a gesture of goodwill. He had served about half of a seven-year sentence for trumped-up charges. Franklin Graham cited Daniel 2 and urged Americans to turn to God Before Donald Trump was inaugurated and sworn in as the 47th president of the United States in the Capitol Rotunda on Monday, Franklin Graham offered this prayer in which he quoted Daniel 2:21. GRAHAM: “Our Father and our God, Thou hast said, ‘Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.' As the prophet Daniel prayed, ‘Blessed be the name of God forever and ever. For wisdom and might are His. He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings. He raises up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.' “Our Father today, as President Donald J. Trump takes the oath of office once again, we come to say thank You, O Lord, our God Father. When Donald Trump's enemies thought he was down and out, You and You alone, saved his life and raised him up with strength and power by your mighty hand.” Graham concluded his 3-minute prayer with these words. GRAHAM: “We remember to keep our eyes fixed on You and may our hearts be inclined to Your voice. We know that America can never be great again if we turn our backs on You. We ask for Your help. And we pray all of this in the name of the King of kings, the Lord of lords, Your Son, my Savior, and our Redeemer, Jesus, Christ. Amen.” Trump took oath of office Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts administered the presidential oath. ROBERTS: “Please raise your right hand and repeat after me. In addition to U.S. President Joe Biden, former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton witnessed Trump's inauguration. Michelle Obama was the only presidential spouse who chose not to attend in order to send a message of disapproval. Trump: "The golden age of America begins right now!” On Monday, President Donald Trump gave a 30-minute inauguration speech inside the Capitol Rotunda beginning with this memorable line. TRUMP: “The golden age of America begins right now!” (applause) Once he has implemented his policies, he's convinced that America's reputation will dramatically improve. TRUMP: “America will reclaim its rightful place as the greatest, most powerful, most respected nation on Earth, inspiring the awe and admiration of the entire world.” Trump affirmed two genders. TRUMP: “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.” (applause) He encouraged national pride with the caveat that Americans need to remember God. TRUMP: “National unity is now returning to America and confidence and pride is soaring like never before. … We will not forget our country. We will not forget our Constitution. And we will not forget our God. Can't do that.” (applause) And President Trump referred to the first assassination attempt on his life. TRUMP: “Just a few months ago, in a beautiful Pennsylvania field, an assassin's bullet ripped through my ear. But I felt then, and believe even more so now, that my life was saved for a reason. I was saved by God to make America great again!” (applause) Read a transcript of Trump's inauguration speech here. Martin Luther King's niece: MLK Day & Trump Inauguration providential Alveda King, Martin Luther King, Jr's niece, spoke up in an op-ed column on FoxNews.com yesterday. She noted first that “It is no coincidence that on the very same day as MLK Day, we will celebrate the second inauguration of President Trump. I believe that God made it so that these two events would align.” King's main concern was protecting the lives of the unborn. She wrote, “Let us all praise the Almighty that abortion is no longer a constitutionally protected right in the United States. Yet this does not mean that our work is over as a movement. Instead, as we continue to march in support of the unborn, we will also turn our efforts to the state level to protect life through state legislatures.” Biden issues pardons for his own family minutes before Trump's oath Lame Duck President Joe Biden pardoned several controversial figures who have yet to be indicted for any crime. The list includes Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, General Mark Milley (Ret.), Democratic Senator Adam Schiff of California, and former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming. Then, just minutes before leaving the presidency, Biden issued blanket pardons for members of his own family including his brother James and his wife, Sara; his sister, Valerie, and her husband, John Owens; and his brother Francis. However, Trump prosecutor Jack Smith, former FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Attorney General Merrick Garland were not on the list of pardons. Trump's executive orders set a new course President Trump immediately went to work signing over a hundred presidential directives, reports CBS News. Among other initiatives, he (1) Closed the border to asylum-seeking migrants. (2) Declared an end to birthright citizenship. (3) Assigned the military to border security. (4) Established biological sex definitions of male and female for federal workers and schools. (5) Declared a national energy emergency for the nation's energy resources and rolled back regulations on energy production. and (6) Opened up Alaska to more oil and gas drilling. Trump released his own cryptocurrency The incoming president, Donald Trump, also released his own cryptocurrency over the weekend, reports USA Today. In less than 24 hours, the Trump Coin increased in value by 18,000% -- with a market cap of over $5 billion. And Melania Trump also got her own crypto coin, now with a market cap of $2.15 billion. Fartcoin, another joke crypto has got a value of $1.8 billion as of today. The total market capitalization for cryptocurrency is approaching $4 trillion. That's about five times the size of the U.S. oil and gas industry. A few less Americans are investing in 25,000 different crypto-coins. 40% of men and 16% of women invested in 2024 — slightly lower numbers than 2023. People most stressed in Louisiana And finally, WalletHub did a study on the most stressed out state populations in America. Louisianans were the most stressed and Minnesotans were the least stressed. Generally, those in the northern states are not stressed, while people in the southern states are more stressed out -- based on money, work, family, and health-related issues. Philippians 4:6-8 reminds us to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, January 21st, in the year of our Lord 2025. Today's show opens with Kash Patel suggesting subpoena's need to be issued to the company where Judge Juan Merchan's daughter works to see if any money was being made illegally by leveraging the hush-money payments trial. When in doubt, follow the money. It's nice hear that Victor Davis Hanson sees the California wildfire situation very similar to how we've been discussing it here on the show. He liken Governor Newsome to Nero, playing his fiddle while the city burns. We then go to a bald-faced lie told this past Sunday by Gov. Newsome on Meet the Press. He wants us to believe all of the reservoirs were full. Similarly, the Designated Liar, Adam “Lying Piece of” Schiff, went on ABC and was much more clever with his lies about the reservoirs. Independent journalists with The Free Press looked into the Santa Ynez Reservoir and discovered it has been empty since February of 2024. We have an insight into why that is, thanks to a radio interview Water Chief Janisse Quinones gave to KBLA radio. For her, equity and social justice are their primary goals. Having water available didn't make her list of priorities. Continuing with the mismanagement theme, a local rancher shot video of all the dead wood and felled trees that are a tinderbox waiting to happen. And, it would be because of climate change. In fact, Michael Shellenberger interviews Jon Keeley, a US Geological Survey scientist who says the issues have zero to do with climate. Even Jillian Michaels points out, Every bit of this is incompetence, mismanagement and worse. We then move to FBI Director Christopher Wray's interview on 60 Minutes, where he admits China is an unsolved foe. I guess they should have been more focused on actual threats rather than persecuting parents at school board meetings. Leslie Stahl beclowned herself as well, something she is tremendously gifted at doing. She tried to get Jamie Diamond to turn on Trump. She tried it three times and was rebuffed every time. Finally, Donald Trump said he will tell us about the drones within a day of taking office. He said it's a travesty that the current administration has been silent and done nothing. Talk about a pick me up. Bust-boosting bras beloved in the 1990s are soaring in popularity, as stars like Sydney Sweeney lead the latest undergarment trend that gives a killer cleavage. In the headlines on #TheUpdate this Thursday, we continue our coverage of the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The gun found on the man charged with killing him matched shell casings found at the site of the shooting, New York City's police commissioner said as authorities scrutinized evidence and the suspect's experiences with the victim's industry. Elsewhere, the commute home for thousands of New Yorkers became the thing of nightmares when they got stuck underground for hours after a power outage stranded two F trains — forcing them to evacuate through the subway tunnels and service exits. And in Washington, FBI Director Christopher Wray told bureau workers that he plans to resign at the end of President Joe Biden's term in January, an announcement that came a week and a half after President-elect Donald Trump said he would nominate loyalist Kash Patel for the job.
FBI Director Christopher Wray recently announced he will resign from his position in January 2025. Two highlights of my post-FBI retirement career producing and hosting FBI Retired Case File Review are speaking one on one with Director Wray for the celebration of the 300th episode of FBI Retired Case File Review and having the honor of sitting next to him at the 2021 FBIAA G-Man Honors awards dinner. Once Donald Trump announced that he intended to nominate Kash Patel as the Director of the FBI, the writing was on the wall for the current FBI head Chris Wray. The problem is, FIB Directors are appointed for 10-year terms to help provide some independence and separation between the FBI and the president and his administration. A president can only fire the head of the FBI for good cause. But rather than force Trump's hand into what would be a wrongful firing, Wray "obeyed in advance" and resigned. We are just 39 days away from President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration. But Democrats are still trying to figure out what went wrong in 2024, and how to fix it before 2026. Elon Musk, the world's richest man and arguably President-elect Donald Trump's most important supporter, finds himself being wooed by some unlikely people in Washington: Democrats in Congress. There are any number of reasons for this — personal ambition, a hope of finding common ground with Musk's so-called Department of Government Efficiency panel and an eagerness to attract his business investments to their states. But there's something big picture at play, too: The “Resistance” is going to look a whole lot different during Trump 2.0. Politics reporter Holly Otterbein joins Playbook deputy editor Zack Stanton to discuss. Plus, FBI Director Christopher Wray announces his departure. That, and the rest of the news you need to know today.

Turns out the roots of The Wizard of Oz are firmly rooted in 19th century feminism with all its seances and penchant for witchcraft. We didn't like the distinction between the good witch and the wicked witch. But now, this wicked witch is a little more personable and really good at heart. Here is why Christians are still against Wicked and witchcraft. This program includes: 1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Nativity displayed at U.S. Capitol for first time, Haitian warlord orders massacre of 180 elderly, FBI Director Christopher Wray announces retirement) 2. Generations with Kevin Swanson
It's Thursday, December 12th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Another state in India considers an anti-Christian conversion law The North Indian state of Rajasthan moved forward with an anti-conversion bill last week. If passed, the region will become the twelfth state in India to have an anti-conversion law. The measure requires people to tell officials if they are converting to another religion, two months in advance! The law also punishes attempts at unlawful conversions, like fraud or force, with up to 10 years in prison. However, such anti-conversion laws are often used to target Christians who are sharing the Gospel. India is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian. European religious freedom champions point to Finland and England Religious freedom experts met at the European Parliament last week. The panel discussion included Anja Hoffmann, Executive Director of the Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe. Hoffman highlighted religious freedom violations in Europe like Finland's prosecution of a Christian politician for tweeting a Bible verse and the U.K.'s conviction of a pro-lifer for praying silently outside an abortion mill. Dr. Gudrun Kugler, an Austrian member of Parliament, also spoke on the panel. She warned that “there are a number of legal restrictions on religious freedom, including parental rights, across Europe.” Participants agreed that the European Union should create a position for combating anti-Christian hate crimes. Haitian warlord orders massacre of 180 elderly Yet another gruesome gang horror has played out in Haiti, as at least 184 people -- most of them elderly -- were variously slashed, hacked, or shot to death on the orders of a warlord who'd been advised that aging slum residents had used sorcery to give his son a severe illness, reports ZeroHedge.com. Interim Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé called it “a barbaric act of unbearable cruelty.” The brutality was reportedly ordered by Monel "Mikano" Felix, who leads the Wharf Jeremie gang. The carnage took place last Friday and Saturday in the densely-populated seaside slum of Cité Soleil, a neighborhood in the capital city of Port-au-Prince which The Guardian has called Haiti's "most notorious slum. Much of the slum is an open sewer where infant children bathe in water contaminated with sewage. The stench is unbearable.” In a statement to the Haitian Times, members of Haiti's Committee for Peace and Development said Felix's son had contracted a serious illness. When Felix sought the counsel of a Voodoo priest, he advised the murderous warlord that elderly people in the gang's area of operations were harming his son through the use of witchcraft. That's when "he decided to cruelly punish all the elderly people and Vodou practitioners who, in his imagination, might be capable of sending an evil spell to his son.” Isaiah 8:19-20 says, “When they say to you, ‘Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter,' should not a people consult their God? . . . To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” FBI Director Christopher Wray announces resignation FBI Director Christopher Wray confirmed Wednesday that he will be resigning from his post before President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, reports TheBlaze.com. WRAY: “After weeks of careful thought, I've decided the right thing for the Bureau is for me to serve until the end of the current administration in January, and then step down. “My goal is to keep the focus on our mission, on the indispensable work each of you is doing every single day. And in my view, this is the best way to avoid dragging the Bureau deeper into the fray, while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important in how we do our work.” Wray announced he will resign just seven years into his 10-year term in the aftermath of external pressure for him to step down, most notably from Trump. Trump has instead decided to nominate Kash Patel for the role, indicating to Wray that he would either have to resign early or be fired. Trump nominated Wray to take over as FBI director in 2017 during his first presidential term. At the time, Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey after he launched the now-debunked investigation into the Russia hoax in 2016. Trump unlikely to restrict the Abortion kill Pill NBC's Kristen Welker interviewed Donald Trump for “Meet the Press” on Sunday. When asked about the Abortion Kill Pill, Trump said he probably would not try to restrict access to medication abortions. Listen. WELKER: “Let's talk about abortion. Sir, you have taken responsibility for overturning Roe v Wade. You've said that abortion is now a state issue. There are steps that you could take though as President to restrict abortion through executive action without Congress. More than half of abortions in this country are medication abortions. Will you restrict the availability of abortion pills when you're in office? TRUMP: “I'll probably stay with exactly what I've been saying for the last two years. And the answer is no.” However, Trump was not willing to make a commitment to that, saying that things can change. Nativity displayed at U.S. Capitol for first time And finally, a Nativity was displayed at the U.S. Capitol for the first time in history. Organizers held a “Christmas Carols and Nativity Display” event yesterday on the southeastern steps of the Capitol building. The historic event happened thanks to the work of Rev. Patrick Mahoney. He won a federal court victory back in May, allowing peaceful demonstrations on the steps of the Capitol building. Mahoney, the Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, talked to The Worldview last night. MAHONEY: “We are so very thankful for the opportunity to share the joyful and powerful message of Christmas at the steps of the United States Capitol. … The words spoken by the prophet Isaiah centuries ago are still relevant for us today. ‘For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.'” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, December 12th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Within the 80-page motion filed last week to dismiss Donald Trump's New York criminal case, there's a long list of grievances laid out by his legal team. MSNBC legal analysts Andrew Weissmann and Mary McCord underscore some of the substantive arguments as to why a sitting president might find a pending case constricting, reasoning that there are aspects that could interfere with effective functioning of the presidency. But they also illuminate how these merits are buried deep within pages of hyperbole of alleged unfairness to the president-elect, prompting Andrew to ask, in terms of the facts, “Where's the beef?” Then they turn to some analysis of a letter written by incoming Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley, which calls out current FBI Director Christopher Wray with a personal vote of no confidence.
