Trump sued the IRS for $10 billion over an unlawful tax return disclosure, a lawsuit that was time-barred, improperly pleaded under the statute, and lacked any adversity between the parties since Trump controlled the very agencies he was suing. Todd Blanche and the DOJ mounted zero defense, then quietly settled for $1.776 billion in taxpayer money, including a sweeping addendum that would have permanently shielded Trump, his family, his businesses, and his associates from any future federal investigation. On May 27th, a group of 35 former federal judges, represented by ethics attorney Norm Eisen, filed a motion alleging the settlement was a product of collusion and a fraud on the court. By May 29th, a federal judge had reopened the case. By Friday night, the Wall Street Journal reported the White House was scrambling. By Monday, it was dead. Trump has until June 12th to respond to the court's order. Republican senators, Mike Pence, and now the federal judiciary all lined up against it. On this episode, we look at the recent NFL Collusion scandal, where the NFL Players Association filed a grievance, basically saying: “Hey, we think owners are quietly working together to limit guaranteed contracts.” So did NFL owners secretly agree not to pay players? The careful answer is: The arbitrator reportedly found the league encouraged owners to reduce guaranteed contracts… …but ruled there wasn't enough evidence proving coordinated collusion between teams. The podcast episode examines the evolving boundaries of competition law in the context of corporate communications, exploring a shift in enforcement focus from traditional, direct interactions between competitors to a broader assessment of how companies communicate publicly with the market. Advances in data-driven enforcement, including AI-assisted analysis, have significantly expanded competition authorities' ability to detect potentially problematic patterns across large volumes of information. Recent cases of the European Courts and national competition authorities, including the Italian “Bio Component” case illustrate that the critical issue is no longer the specific audience of a communication, but whether the information disclosed can reduce strategic uncertainty and enable market participants to anticipate each other's behaviour. Overall, the episode underscores a changing enforcement logic: competition risks increasingly stem from the way companies shape market expectations, even in the absence of direct coordination. This development is reinforced by more sophisticated detection methods that make subtle forms of alignment more visible to regulators.

Tonight—explosive political claims shaking Washington again. From renewed scrutiny on Rep. Eric Swalwell, to fresh attacks on former Rep. Adam Schiff, to resurfacing arguments over the Russia collusion narrative involving former CIA official John Brennan… What's real, what's rhetoric, and what's just political theater? And why are these old political wounds being reopened right now?
EPISODE 160 | A Real Collusion Two political parties hardly seems sufficient for a nation of 342 million, and yet that's exactly the situation in the United States. How did that come to be, and why does it persist? Author Stu Strumwasser explores those ideas with his new novel A Real Collusion as well as in this conversation. Review us here or on IMDb. Today on The Cameron Journal Podcast we are joined by Stu Strumwasser the author of a new book called The Real Collusion which is just out now. We spend the time talking about capital, politics and how American is getting eaten from the inside out by ever-greedier people who can't help themselves. The worst part is that this transfer of national income has been enabled by both political parties who have assiduously created a system where they are the only choices and anyone else is systematically shut out of debates and political conversations. Can we be a democracy with only 2 political parties who are in cahoots with each other? Stu doesn't think so and I don't either. We talk more about this and why we need real debate in this country.
What does it take to stop colluding with systems that dehumanise us? In this episode, Tristan and Rashid explore the role music plays in grounding us, reminding us of our humanity, and giving us the courage to resist. They introduce us to Ncedisa Nkonyeni, an African-centred systems change and field learning partner who teaches organisations to apply systems change to their strategies and partners with collectives committed to organisational well-being.In a clip from the original Liminal Space episode, Ncedisa shares a story about a Tori Amos lyric that gave her the courage to walk away from a scholarship when she realised the research she was being asked to do was fundamentally afrophobic. From there, Tristan and Rashid reflect on what it means to negotiate our own complicity within unjust systems, and whether giving, in all its forms, could become an act of laying down power rather than exercising it.THEMESMusic as resistance. Join the Conversation at 303-477-5600 or text to 307-200-8222 Monday - Friday from 3 pm - 6 pm MT. https://RushToReason.com HOUR 1 A routine landing turns tragic—what really happened on that LaGuardia runway, and could it have been prevented? John Rush opens the hour with a sobering look at a devastating crash, raising difficult questions about human error, responsibility, and the unseen pressures behind the scenes. Then the focus shifts globally—are we on the edge of a major geopolitical shift? With tensions in Iran escalating, conflicting reports on negotiations, and oil markets reacting in real time, the uncertainty grows. But the bigger surprise… why are Arab nations suddenly aligning against Iran? Is this a historic turning point? The hour intensifies with a gripping interview featuring Drew Allen, author of The Clinton Hoax. What if one of the most widely believed political narratives was built on something far more complex? From intelligence agencies to media influence and foreign interference, the conversation uncovers layers that raise serious questions about past decisions—and how they may still be shaping today's conflicts. And just when you think it's over… a bizarre new trend sparks outrage. Are “hotel buffet crashers” just opportunists—or a symptom of something deeper? Miss this hour, and you might miss the bigger picture. Timestamps 29:46 — Drew Allen — https://x.com/DrewThomasAllen HOUR 2 The way customers find your business is changing—fast. In Hour 2, John Rush dives into a critical conversation with Thomas Harpointner about the explosive rise of AI-driven search. What happens when Google stops sending traffic and starts giving answers instead? For business owners, this isn't just a shift—it's a wake-up call. Are you becoming the authority AI trusts… or disappearing from relevance altogether? But the conversation takes a sharp turn. A viral spring break video raises uncomfortable questions—how can college students miss such basic knowledge? Is this just entertainment, or a warning about the future? Then the pace picks up. A local breaking story—a parking garage collapse—sparks concern. March Madness delivers excitement, surprises, and a deeper debate: Is coaching more important than talent? And finally, the hour accelerates into a high-energy car review. The 2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country—a compact electric SUV with high speed, off-road capability, and a few surprising trade-offs. Is this the future of everyday driving? One hour. Big shifts. Bigger questions. Are you paying attention? Chuck Todd opens with the two stories dominating the weekend: the Iran war's cascading economic consequences and Trump's vile celebration of Robert Mueller's death. On Iran, Chuck warns that rising energy costs with oil above $100 a barrel are not politically neutral — they function as a tax on existence that directly breaches the contract Trump's own voters signed up for — and that Trump is visibly panicking about gas prices because they disproportionately hurt his base. He argues that killing the Ayatollah was never going to topple the regime because the Iranian leadership doesn't operate as rational actors who can be deterred by suffering, that Trump made the same catastrophic miscalculation Putin made in Ukraine by assuming it would be easy, and that nobody in Trump's orbit will deliver bad news because there is now a North Korea-level sycophancy around the president. He then turns to Trump's Truth Social post celebrating the death of Mueller — a Bronze Star combat veteran, 12-year FBI director, and lifelong public servant who died at 81 from Parkinson's disease — in which Trump wrote "Good, I'm glad he's dead." Chuck notes that even Fox News' Brit Hume tweeted that this is why people don't merely oppose Trump but actively hate him. He argues that character matters in politics more than any policy position, and that Trump is fundamentally incapable of showing grace or knowing when to shut up He revisits the Mueller investigation itself, arguing that the real failure wasn't the probe's legal conclusions — which confirmed Russia took action to help elect Trump and that the campaign expected to benefit from stolen information — but that there were no consequences, and that Trump's refusal to acknowledge Russian help was never about innocence but about protecting the legitimacy of his presidency, with the entire GOP going along because copping to it would have been politically fatal. Suzanne Kianpour — the Emmy-nominated journalist, Semafor columnist, and Iran specialist who joins the Chuck Toddcast for an extraordinarily personal and deeply informed conversation about what's actually happening inside Iran as the war enters its third week. Kianpour paints a picture of a country where people are terrified and staying home, where Persian New Year will not be a celebration, and where the fabric of the regime is visibly falling apart — yet there was no pre-war effort by the U.S. to organize a viable opposition, meaning the question of who replaces the regime remains dangerously unanswered. She examines whether President Pezeshkian could serve as a transitional figure, notes that the former foreign minister has gone conspicuously quiet, discusses the role of Reza Pahlavi and the women's movement, and reveals that sources inside Iran believe the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, may already be dead. Kianpour delivers the stark bottom line: the regime wins simply by staying intact, and without boots on the ground or a coordinated opposition, air and naval power alone cannot finish the job. The conversation broadens into a candid assessment of the geopolitical landscape that complicates any clean resolution. Kianpour argues that the U.S. lost the moral high ground when Trump ripped up the Obama nuclear deal a deal she defends as strategically sound even if imperfect — and that Western media has become so reflexively anti-Trump that some outlets almost want the war to fail, which is inadvertently helping the Iranian regime win the information war. She notes that Gulf states were supportive when they thought the strikes would work quickly but are now distancing themselves, that China — which brokered the Iran-Saudi détente — may end up playing the key diplomatic role. Kianpour offers a striking vision of what could emerge from the ashes: a future Iran and Israel could be close allies and co-leaders of a thriving Middle East, tut she cautions that geopolitical forgiveness must be part of any post-regime transition. Finally, Chuck hops into the ToddCast Time Machine to revisit the nuclear meltdown incident at Three Mile Island and argues that it derailed a massive transition to nuclear energy that could have led to energy independence and potentially avoided multiple wars in the middle east. 00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line with Tato Robert in Mills River. Robert, what's going on with you this afternoon? Robert, pull the phone away from your mouth a little bit. Pull the phone away. Robert, are you there? Yeah, pull the phone away from your mouth a little bit. 00:30 All right, go ahead. I'm sorry, Robert, I am terribly sorry. You're going to have to call back. just I could not understand a word you were saying there. Well, Canada, all these people that were, you and I always noticed you ever notice these people that are so against Donald Trump when they want to move? None of them ever moved to Mexico. Did you ever notice that they don't move to Mexico? They always talk about going to Canada or 01:00 Ellen DeGeneres, she went over to England, but now I hear she's coming back. Rosie O'Donnell went over to Ireland. She was so miserable over there. She's looking at coming back. 01:13 Listen, if you are a Democrat and you are miserable in the United States, understand something. You're going to be miserable everywhere you go. I remember there was uh a Adam Sandler uh skit over on Saturday Night Live and he was talking about what an Italian, it was like one of those Italian tours, like. 01:41 I'm going to tell you what these Italian tours will not do for you. They will not make you a better person. If you were miserable where you are, you're going to be just as miserable in Italy. It was a very, very funny, but that's it. It's not the country that's making them miserable. It's not Donald Trump that's making them miserable. They're just miserable. That's who they are. 02:08 So they're be just, and I haven't seen anybody that moved to Canada and went, we love it here, it's awesome. No, because it's not. Because Canada's got some real problems. Their economy is in the toilet. So they had a chance in Canada to sign a $40 billion deal with Japan for oil. $40 billion. 02:38 but they blew it. And I'll tell you how coming up in just a second. So where did Japan go for their oil? Well, they went to the Oval Office and President Trump has just signed a deal with Japan. It is a $56 billion energy deal with the United States, bypassing 03:02 Canada's oil and gas. 03:06 Completely, but we are now. 03:10 Japan's largest source for energy in a $56 billion deal. Now, you had old Mark Carney up in Canada. He blew that deal because he was talking about the low-risk oil and natural gas. are low-risk producers of oil. We are low-risk producers of natural gas. We're reliable. can produce. We're in jurisdictions where 03:39 what we produce will go to market uh... and we can deliver it uh... to market and that that is a contribution in a world which is lost in effect in the oil case fifteen percent potential we are low risk as far as carbon is concerned well that didn't get you that forty billion dollar deal with japan did it so japan had originally gone to true dough for a deal they're looking at your dough ah 04:10 So Trudeau, not even making this up, he tried to talk them literally out of the deal. 04:23 Trudeau in Canada wanted them to look into alternative forms of energy. 04:32 Instead of getting their energy from Trudeau, from Canada, Trudeau said, hey, you guys ever think about windmills? You guys ever think about, you know, solar or anything like that? You guys ever think about that? You're good. So way to go, Canada. You just blew a 56. Well, you blew a 40 billion dollar deal. We got a 56 billion dollar deal. Charlie, some people aren't happy. 05:02 unless they're miserable. You're exactly right. 05:07 I used to teach a class in Sunday school where I would ask everybody in the class, I'd say, right, I'd say, don't want you to raise your hand. 05:20 But I want to know, and just answer me silently because I already know the answer, answer me silently who in here has a chemical addiction? 05:32 Who in here has a chemical addiction? 05:36 and you'd see them. You'd see them, t ...

In this landmark settlement agreement, Vanguard has agreed to make the strongest passivity commitments in the industry and empower investors with proxy voting. What are the implications of this settlement for future federal and state action against coordinated ESG-driven market manipulation? For this agent to be really effective, it just needs to know everything that's in my head, right? Deep in the Yorkshire woods, multi-disciplinary artist and producer Jamie House – aka Hamie Jouse – has been quietly splitting light into a thousand tiny rainbows. Best known for his hypnotic visual installations and art direction across DIY music spaces from Old Red Bus Station to Resonance, House found himself at last year's Watching Trees festival doing something beautifully meta: filming daytime trees to project back onto their evening counterparts through a cascade of prisms. The “arty bullshit” behind it, as he puts it, was about bridging gaps of time and space and memory – creating past tense ghosts of daylight. But really, “it just looked pretty, and the trees and sun had it all covered.” Whilst setting up his spectral light show on the Bush of Ghosts stage, Tia and Wil (that's us) caught wind of the music he was playing. What unfolded in those early morning hours was something special – patient, ambient-soundscapes with a deep understanding of the fractal nature of the forest, where every process is made up of countless sub-processes doing their best impression of one solid bit. This mix captures that philosophy; energised yet gently held, pulsing yet ambient. Mirroring both the slow, steady rhythm of plant growth and the constant, quick reactions within the cells. There are rarely right angles in the forest, just lots of individual leaves doing their thing- a benevolent collusion with the kodama, those forest sprites that House channelled through his psychogeographic, hauntological light work. From the Rhubarb Triangle of West Yorkshire, where he dabbles in ambient matters with his long time friend Aaron during hazy Sunday afternoon straggler zones, overlooking different vistas, House has created something that feels like plugging into the mainframe with beings deep in the woods, under a very full moon. Always bring a memory stick, indeed. Tony Dungy is under fire after a "sanctimonious" pregame rant where he seemingly admitted to voting collusion for the NFL Hall of Fame. Craig Carton doesn't hold back, calling Dungy one of the "worst broadcasters" and praising Rodney Harrison for finally calling out Dungy's "holier than thou" attitude on live TV. Plus, the ultimate troll job: was Bill Belichick's girlfriend wearing a shirt mocking Robert Kraft's infamous massage parlor scandal at their Super Bowl party?

LEBANESE ARMY COLLUSION Colleague David Daoud. Daoud highlights the compromised nature of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), citing a recent incident where an LAF soldier killed alongside Hezbollah members received a joint funeral. He argues this collusion makes the LAF an untrustworthy partner for Israel, as sectarian loyalties often supersede national duty, leading to dangerous intelligence leaks. NUMBER 8 1895 BEIRUT RR

Fix Your Fantasy League's Biggest Problems with These Simple Strategies! Conflict Resolution, Collusion Prevention & Protecting League Integrity. Welcome to Episode 3 of the Footballguys Home League Show—your weekly guide to building fun, competitive, and connected fantasy football home leagues. Hosted by Kevin Murray (author of The Commissioner's Playbook) and Joey Wright (Footballguys Community Ambassador), this episode dives into one of the most important—and often overlooked—parts of running a successful league: conflict resolution, transparency, and league integrity. Fantasy football is full of highs, lows, big trades, heated chats, and unavoidable disagreements. Great leagues aren't the ones that avoid conflict—they're the ones that manage conflict well. Today, Kevin and Joey break down how commissioners and league members can protect fairness, reduce drama, avoid collusion, and strengthen trust all season long. League of the Week: The BPFL This week we spotlight the BPFL, commissioned by Billy Michalski. What started as a softball team's offseason hobby has evolved into a creative, high-engagement fantasy empire filled with traditions, identity, and league-wide pride. Highlights from BPFL: • 14-team, two-division format • Empire pot keeping long-term stakes high • Legendary draft days with full production value • Draft-order determination contests • Custom website using League Legacy • An emphasis on culture, transparency, collaboration, and connection The BPFL is a shining example of what great commissioners build: leagues with personality, pride, and long-lasting tradition. Learn more about League Legacy Websites: LeagueLegacyWebsites.com To submit your league for consideration: FBGCommish@Footballguys.com Commish Corner: Engagement in the Season of Apathy Right now is the stretch of the season where excitement peaks for some managers… and fades for others. Kevin and Joey share quick ways to re-ignite your league: • Drop memes, GIFs, and hype videos • Stir up storylines and rivalries • Create a "state of the league" update • Spotlight manager achievements • Spark discussion in the group chat Small touches often make the biggest cultural impact. Home League Huddle (Main Topic): Conflict Resolution & League Integrity Conflict is inevitable in fantasy football—trades, collusion suspicions, tanking concerns, commissioner decisions, and playoff implications all create friction. But great leagues use that friction to build stronger culture. In this episode, Kevin and Joey break down: • Why conflict management matters • How trust affects every league decision • Common sources of conflict • Preventing disputes before they start • Fair and transparent trade-review systems • Collusion-proofing your league • When (and when not) to intervene as commissioner • The "best interest of the league" clause • Healthy communication habits that sustain culture Kevin also shares an unforgettable real-life story—The Great Publix Trade Approval of 2013—and explains how a single misstep led him to create a formal league constitution. This episode shows why conflict doesn't have to break a league. When handled correctly, it builds connection, trust, and long-term stability. Last Place Lounge This week we review and rate four last-place punishments: • Street-corner costume sign • Paying next year's champion's dues • Recording a video apology • Losing a future draft pick Send in your league's punishments for a chance to be featured! Commish Hotline & Mailbag Have a question, conflict, story, dilemma, or hilarious league moment? Email us at FBGCommish@Footballguys.com and your submission may appear in a future episode. Compass has filed new claims in its ongoing antitrust battle with Zillow, alleging that the real estate giant has used its market power to block competition and colluded with Redfin over listing policies. The lawsuit challenges Zillow's rule that bans listings not entered into the MLS within one business day of public marketing. Zillow denies the allegations, saying it's focused on transparency and consumer access to listings. A court hearing is scheduled for November 18th.
