Plus, Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) talks about the report that the New York Knicks are reportedly worried about Karl-Anthony Towns's contract in a potential KAT trade, and why the Wolves were savvy with the contracts to which they signed this year's rookies and free agent signings.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!BirddogsGo to birddogs.com/LOCKEDONNBA or enter promo code LOCKEDONNBA for a free Yeti style tumbler. Aidan, Brian, and Zack are back as a full crew! The team tackles Marquette Men's and Women's Basketball as well as the Super Bowl from football and gambling perspectives. A lot went off the rails. Highlights include: (9:34) Deep dive on #MUBB's statistics and the most impressive part of their success (25:30) Brian's Twitter interaction with DJ Carton (37:08) Super Bowl worst/best storylines plus the Top 10 prop bets (1:10:10) Quick recap of the Ben Simmons/James Harden trade All you have to do is listen!
So the season has started and all things considered, it was pretty good. The Scrambled Eggs team got together to discuss the results of the first competitive games for #MUBB in 8 months. The focus of the discussion is on the front court, DJ Carton, and what the rotation looks like going forward. We then turn to this weeks contests, starting with Oklahoma State and the challenge Cade Cuningham represents. Then we turn to #BadgerHateWeek and discuss what we think MU can do against Wisconsin. It will be a challenging week but, hey, we're playing basketball so enjoy!
The B-Fox and B-Frank Show welcomes on a special guest this week, former Northwestern offensive lineman Jared Thomas. Jared was awesome. Plain and simple. The guys discussed his recruitment process, how and why he chose Northwestern. How he started football and his High School career at Indianapolis powerhouse Cathedral. What Northwestern Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald is like, who took him under his wing on the team and how he then took on a leadership role within the program. The guys also talked about the Wildcats' run to the Big Ten Title game and a homecoming as Jared returned to Indy for that game. Lastly, the conversation closed with what Jared is up to right now and his plans for the future. In the world of College Basketball there is quite a bit happening. The biggest news is top recruit Cade Cunningham is staying at Oklahoma State despite a current post-season ban for the Pokes. Kobe King is no longer going to Nebraska, dealing a big blow to Fred Hoiberg and the Huskers. Notre Dame has schedule a road game at Howard on Martin Luther King Jr Day in 2021, the first major program to do so after news broke last week that the ACC was looking to do something like this. DJ Carton is immediately eligible at Marquette which is a huge win for Wojo and the Golden Eagles as they look to replace Markus Howard. The guys also dive into Wojo's time at Marquette and how Carton will be used next year. In a strange turn of events, Nojel Eastern was not admitted to Michigan after committing nearly immediately after announcing he was transferring from Purdue. Eastern is now back in the transfer portal and free to move to another program. And has been the case these last few weeks, a full on recap of the Heat Check College Basketball Sim as the regular season has come to a close. B-Frank's Pirates are still alive while B-Fox's Bulldogs have seen their season end with only 8 teams making each conference tournament. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Scrambled Eggs is getting a little serious, figuratively and literally. First, we got a guest, and a great guest at that! Joe Chapman, former #mubb guard and current coach of #TBT Golden Eagles Alumni team, joins the podcast to talk about things like The Tournament, his experience at MU, using a platform for change, and how you build a competitive team. We then react to the interview and discuss the excitement around live US sports if only for a moment. We then turn to some serious conversations around will we have a season and what does it look like, Coach Killings' efforts with Coaches for Action, the Black Lives Matter efforts, and the impact on the team/players. We close out the podcast with DJ Carton being immediately eligible and the impact on our forecast for the season. As always, enjoy!

Rutgers at MSG starts at 1:00 When they scheduled this game they couldn't guess Steve Pikiell would bring about the Rutgers renaissance. Michigan turned it over 16 times and gave up 36 offensive rebounds and won because finally someone didn't shoot 50% from three on them. They did it by being more Rutgers than any other previous Rutgers: putting up contested bad shots galore. The Johns game! Having a rim-runner who can hit free throws is important. He also nailed the shot after the long pass sequence. 2. Nebraska at Lincoln starts at 26:52 Wagner was taller than everybody but their center, who's not good. Their backup center was hitting stupid jacks at 50% when he wasn't stepping out of bounds. Cam Mack also went 5/7 from beyond the arc in this game. But since they're Nebraska, they have no size, no defense, and no way to keep Michigan off the boards. Eli Brooks saves the offense! Frustrated by Teske's lack of aggression so they go with Johns post-ups. Bajema: we think they can get a redshirt if he doesn't play again, and documents an injury. 3. Hot Takes and Big Ten Melee starts at 39:59 Michigan's won 10 in a row at MSG—should they play their home games there? Brian tells us which sports his kids will play. Brad Davison, the crewcut psycho, sits out against MSU and Wisconsin still beats them. UW is also without Kobe King the rest of the year. OSU is without DJ Carton. Illinois is going to win the league—they've played good teams and they've changed up how they play defense, and everyone else murdered each other. OSU preview: Wesson lost weight, lost some of his post presence, gained an incredible three. They shoot a lot—please don't be unlucky again. 4. Ace's Ohio State Hockey Podcast starts at 1:06:46 They won on Friday and didn't move up in Pairwise because everyone else won and it was a home game. Saturday was a classic Michigan loss: won Corsi, gave up five odd-man rushes. Coward refereeing for giving their captain just 2 minutes for knocking out Lockwood. Michigan down a whole line for the 3rd period. Don't even attempt to pass on 2-on-1s. Rob Dauster and Bobby Reagan are back to talk through what was an absolutely wild Saturday in the college basketball world. They get into Elijah Joiner's wild game-winner and the insanity that is the top of the American, they break down LSU's run atop the SEC and they, of course, overreact to everything in the sport. They also take a deep dive into the three title contenders from outside the power structure: Dayton, San Diego State and Gonzaga. The open, however, is on a very important talk: D.J. Carton and mental health.
Off Talkle Empire's hoops side gig takes account of the Big Ten conference race at the halfway mark. Andy and Ryan then give their opening statements, and the guys close with a discussion of this year's Hoosier Hysteria -- and what to watch for as the date approaches. In Segment 2 (14:31), it's time to talk recruiting. DJ Carton made his announcement last week. • What does it say about Chris Holtmann's early momentum at Ohio State?• And what does it mean for IU's guard priorities in the Class of 2019?Also, is it time to worry at all about Indiana's supposed "clear leader" status with Trayce Jackson-Davis? Probably not ... but some comments he made this week about North Carolina are worth considering. In Segment 3 (30:37), we take a tour of Hoosiers in the NBA and update their status.• What does the Kawhi trade mean for OG in Toronto?• Is Dallas still a good fit for Yogi?• Will Troy end up anywhere after being cut by the Knicks?• How much better can Victor Oladipo get?And in Segment 4 (44:35), we answer your questions. We had time for two this week:• What two home games would we most want to see on this year's schedule?• Hypothetically, if Romeo stayed four years, could he break Calbert Cheaney's scoring record? (You'll be SHOCKED at how Jerod and Andy answer this one ... )All on this week's edition of Assembly Call Radio.
