Dr. Shiv Pillai provides a historical perspective on the current model of how the immune system works. Scientists observed that the body produces molecules (antibodies) that recognize the entry of foreign particles (antigens). He outlines the different models of the structure and functions of antibodies and explains the process by which antibody diversity is generated during B cell development (VDJ recombination). B cell development also involves two checkpoints to ensure the generation of functional antibodies and prevent the recognition of self-structures.

On Saturday, 29 February 2020, rising star, Kerwin, came passed the Kfm Top 40 with Carl Wastie for his debut interview with Carl Wastie on the chart. The young artist, who hails from many corners of the Western Cape, is gaining momentum and popularity in Cape Town – and all his hard work paid off, when he joined Carl Wastie on the Kfm Top 40. During the interview, we got to learn more about Kerwin – including some interesting tidbits about his schooling – and almost names he went for as a performer, including one which would have given Early B a run for his money! Kerwin has teamed up with Wax Beach for a single called ‘By My Side’. Carl Wastie bubbled it under as a future beat: giving you the power to get the single onto the chart by streaming and downloading it via reputable digital services – and most importantly: showing it some love by requesting it during the week on Kfm 94.5.

Super Cat is a deejay who achieved widespread popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s dancehall movement. His nickname, "Wild Apache", was given to him by his mentor Early B. He is the elder brother of reggae artist Junior Cat and is considered one of the greatest deejays within the Jamaican dance-hall scene to date. This is not a commercial mix so if your'e looking for collabos with Kriss Kross, Biggie Smalls, and 112 recorded after Cat was signed to Columbia Records, you are in the wrong place. This mix goes back to the roots in the Cockburn Pen / Seaview Gardens section of Kingston and tours through recordings produced by Steely & Clevie, King Jammy's, and his own Wild Apache Productions label.
