Mucho más enérgico y abierto en las formas que en su anterior SAAM, en el que dominaba una personalísima introspección, aquí Sánchez busca el desarrollo último de las formas, de modo que se expanden desde temas más o menos abstractos a diálogos entre batería y contrabajo, piano y batería, contrabajo y piano, en frases que como apunta menciona Lauren du Graf en las notas del álbum, facilita que «la voz de Sánchez se destaque con claridad cinematográfica, con suficiente espacio para que interactúe con su sección rítmica, lo cual hace con libertad y sensibilidad». Como en gran parte de su producción musical, este «Perpetual Void» entra de lleno en el jazz de vanguardia, el del oído con cierto gusto por la ligera atonalidad de los caminos inexplorados, por ese casi salto al vacío que aquí de alguna manera se contiene…hasta el último momento. La voz de Marta Sánchez, compositora de los diez temas de este álbum, es de una elegancia sobrenatural como si estuviera por encima del propio acto de tocar en un aquí y un ahora, oscilando entre lo percursivo y lo etéreo sin esfuerzo y conectando con la sección rítmica sin pensar en «tener que hacerlo». En definitiva, un disco de piano que huye de lo obvio, pero también de la sofisticación cerebral «no matter what» destinada a unos pocos.

It's an innovation said to have arisen through the meditative practice of the Korean Buddhist monk Saam, roughly four hundred years ago.It has since been passed down both through the monastic tradition, and used as well by ordinary doctors.
