Navdušeni so, da vse, kar so prej videli na fotografijah ali ekranih, zdaj vidijo v živo in je še lepše, kot so si predstavljali. Še posebej všeč jim je narava. Obisk v Sloveniji je nekakšen zaključek njihovega izobraževanja v slovenščini in o Sloveniji. Program obiska pripravlja Izseljensko društvo Slovenija v svetu, sofinancira ga Urad Vlade Republike Slovenije za Slovence v zamejstvu in po svetu. Bei einem Straßenfest im kanadischen Vancouver ist ein Mann mit seinem Auto in eine Menschenmenge gerast. Wie die Polizei mitteilte, wurden bisher elf Menschen getötet und zahlreiche weitere verletzt. An dem Straßenfest der philippinischen Gemeinschaft Vancouvers hatten insgesamt etwa 100.000 Menschen teilgenommen. Die Feier neigte sich bereits dem Ende zu, als ein Mann mit einem schwarzen Geländewagen laut Augenzeugen plötzlich beschleunigte und in die Menge fuhr. Der polizeibekannte 30-Jährige wurde zunächst von Passanten festgehalten und dann von Beamten in Gewahrsam genommen. Der Hintergrund der Tat ist noch vollkommen unklar. Die Polizei teilte lediglich mit, dass sie nicht von einem terroristischen Motiv ausgeht.

Malá a mimoriadne otvorená ekonomika Slovenska sa tak ocitla v priamom ohrození. Navyše, stav našich verejných financií zostáva napriek konsolidačnému balíčku veľmi kritický. Slovensko stále patrí medzi krajiny s najvyšším rizikom dlhodobej udržateľnosti verejných financií v EÚ. Prvý vládny konsolidačný balíček nezafungoval, vláda si to sťažila i 13. dôchodkami, hovorí pre podcast Aktuality Nahlas šéf Rady pre rozpočtovú zodpovednosť Ján Tóth.Rastúca nestabilita globálneho sveta tak ešte viac zvyšuje potrebu zásadného ozdravenia verejných financií. Štruktúra pripravovaného konsolidačného balíčka by však mala čo najmenej brzdiť náš ekonomický rast. Šéf rozpočtovej rady vidí priestor najmä v škrtoch vo vládnych výdavkoch. A ak zvyšovať príjmy, tak v oblasti spotrebných daní – napríklad zjednocovanie jej sadzby, či v daniach z majetku, nehnuteľností alebo hazardu.Kde by vláda mala hľadať ďalšie dve miliardy, a čo s experimentom v podobe transakčnej dane? Hrozí nám kombinácia recesie a rastúcej inflácie? Ako sa nás dotknú colné vojny, a ako by mala EÚ na nepredvídateľné kroky administratívy Donalda Trumpa zareagovať?
