Send us a Text Message.Have you ever had an unexpected guest throw your life into a tailspin? Imagine that guest being your spouse's ex, and you're smack in the heart of "Knott's Landing." Join me, Jet, as we unravel the intricacies of jealousy, deception, and high drama in the unforgettable Season 1, Episode 8, "Civil Wives." The plot thickens as Susan, Sid's ex-wife, crashes into the picture, sparking a fiery reunion and unveiling her hidden agenda involving an inheritance scam. While Sid's current wife, Karen, navigates these treacherous waters, we peer into Laura's struggle against her domineering husband, Richard, adding layers of conflict and tension to this already explosive episode. As the night progresses, we're at the edge of our seats, observing the charged exchanges between Susan and Sid, which raise questions about the durability of past love and the veracity of Susan's motives. The love triangle between Karen, Sid, and Susan is dissected, revealing their complex history and the socioeconomic forces that initially drove Sid and Susan apart. Karen's resilience shines as she confronts the chaos Susan brings into her home, while we also explore Sid's awakening to the manipulations he once fell for. Tune in for a narrative that examines the strength of current commitments while facing the ghosts of relationships past. Finally, we shift gears slightly to touch upon the show's signature blend of soap opera theatrics and real-life relatability. The episode isn't all about the adults, though; we also get a subplot that adds a dab of youthful heartache, showcasing Eric's misadventures in love. This journey through the perilous paths of trust, fidelity, and the ideal of a perfect partner showcases the essence of "Knott's Landing" and the enduring allure of classic soap operas. So, rest assured, you're in for more than just a recap; you're getting a guided tour through the emotional rollercoaster that is "Civil Wives," complete with the drama, the deceit, and, of course, the debauchery.

Claudia was right. And I didn't understand. You should write daily to think through things. Know what you feel and explore the dark world in your head. That world has no rules, it is a wild place. Hey friends! Last year on season two of ‘Still With You' so many of you loved hearing from my entertaining friend Artist Arthur Rocker. You can listen to my original conversation with him on Episode 30: Entertaining Artist Arthur Rocker. This week have reunited and are bringing some real talk to the table. In this chat with Arthur we discuss the vital and very tender topics of race and reconciliation, social justice, the Bible, and counseling, a practice Arthur and I are new to but have both benefitted tremendously from! “Ex Marks the Spot” is his new shiny single he released over the summer and you know I had to ask him about the new music he is creating! In having honest and open conversation about faith about race and reconciliation it is crucial for me to share that I am on a journey of growing and learning how I can be an advocate and accomplice to my friends of color. The words and sentences I formed that make up this conversation are not perfect, but they are honest, real, and invitation for you too. Do not let fear stop you from SPEAKING up, even imperfectly like me about things that matter most.It is still my favorite goal to make all of my friends fans of Arthur Rocker! In this episode we talk about Ex-es, talk about opening old wounds, it was all about those past relationships and how we navigate current and future relationships with that baggage. Lowercase muse , Mo, is still on break this week and so we were joined by the lovely AJ Taylor (@myafricancloset) and we answer questions like how to make the transition back to friends at the end of a relationship, and if an Ex should call like Adele, whether or not to pick up in the first place... Also Bobby A mentions and has us read an incredibly scary yet sobering passage about a woman cheating on her husband, from a book he's reading and here's the name of the book for those of you that wanna give it a read.
