This week, Devin Stewart is joined by “Mad” Matt McCay, resident writer and analyst, as we bring you the longest-running podcast following WKU athletics, The RedOUT Podcast! On the latest episode, Matt and Devin recap the insane Toledo game, our thoughts, and finally preview the #WKUvsBC game. Devin uses his experience in the WKU training room to give us a perspective on TJ Finley's injury, Matt talks about his experience in the stadium during the lightning delay, and the boys talk about the big picture and how the Tops might go about beating Boston College. Also, where do we stand on Caden Veltkamp as the WKU starter? We've talked several times about him, but now we've seen him in his first start, and we've seen him back up his Famous Toastery Bowl performance. This wasn't his best, but he stepped when he had to. Is it his job to lose at this point? Make sure you also listen in for updates on the other active sports around campus this fall! Hope you enjoy. It's still the most wonderful time of the year, and as bowl season continues along its merry way, Carla and Crappy are more than happy to revel in its glory. And boy, has this season been the gift that just keeps on giving. We've seen Western Kentucky erase a 28-point deficit to win the Famous Toastery Bowl … and then make “toast angels” on the field. We enjoyed watching Appalachian State beat Miami of Ohio in the Avocados from Mexico Cure Bowl in a literal monsoon, and Jacksonville State steal a win over Louisiana in a much-deserved bowl appearance in the New Orleans Bowl. Crappy especially enjoyed Ohio's offensive effort in its win in the Myrtle Beach Bowl. And we've enjoyed watching the Big Ten's successes, of course, including Northwestern's incredible win over Utah (yes, that's a real thing that actually happened) and Minnesota's win in the Quick Lane Bowl. In fact, as we recorded this show, we were watching bowl games. And there's still so much more to come … including the highly anticipated (for the most part) New Year's Six bowl games including the College Football Playoff semifinals, which are the focus of our attention in this show. Ready for the big ones? Here we go. Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic: No. 9 Missouri vs. No. 7 Ohio State (8 ET Friday, ESPN): Missouri is arguably one of the biggest surprises of the 2023 season. Ohio State has lots of questions entering this game, but Crappy isn't too worried about them. Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl: No. 11 Ole Miss vs. No. 10 Penn State (Noon ET Saturday, ESPN): Ole Miss has a prolific offense, but Penn State actually scores more points per game. Carla's hoping to see some pressure from the Nits' defense and a steady dose of the ground game. Capital One Orange Bowl: No. 6 Georgia vs. No. 5 Florida State (4 ET Saturday, ESPN): Serious question: Do either of these teams really want to be playing in this game? We desperately want this game to be good, but … we're not holding our breath. Vrbo Fiesta Bowl: No. 23 Liberty vs. No. 8 Oregon (1 ET Monday, ESPN): Enjoy your trip out west, Liberty. Good luck with that Oregon defense. CFP Semifinal: Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential: No. 4 Alabama vs. No. 1 Michigan (5 ET Monday, ESPN): Can we say that Michigan is still untested? Because, well, other than Ohio State … they kind of are. Bama is well tested, but also has a tendency of beating itself. CFP Semifinal: Allstate Sugar Bowl: No. 3 Texas vs. No. 2 Washington (8:45 ET Monday, ESPN): This game should be just delightful, with two fantastic offenses and one defense that may not be as good as it appears on paper. Is Washington still the team of destiny this season? Our advice to you? Watch as much college football as you can, because the season is winding down quickly. There are still a ton of excellent bowl games on the schedule between now and January 1. So settle in with a glass of your favorite beverage and just soak it all in. We'll be back one final time next week to talk about the national championship game. Cheers, yinz.

John in CT is back with Dave to break down the College Football Bowl Season so far. It turned out to be a very exciting set of games including a thriller in the New Orelans Bowl between JSU and Louisisana, and a ridiculous comeback by Western Kentucky to beat Old Dominion in the Famous Toastery Bowl. We recap what happened and look ahead to the next round of games including a defensive showdown at the Birmingham Bowl between Troy and Duke, plus the ACC Runner-Up Louisville playing against USC without Caleb Williams in the Holiday Bowl. Later, we chat about the NFL week that was which included wild games of their own. Who would have seen the Raiders beating the Chargers 63-21? There were upsets throughout the league including another win for Carroll's Seahawks over Jalen Hurts' Eagles on Monday Night. Time permitting, we'll dig into the ongoing trainwreck between the PGA and the LIV Tour in pro Golf. This will be the last podcast of the calendar year, so we'll try to go out with a bang.

National Signing Day inches closer, and 5-Star QB Dylan Raiola has announced he has committed to Nebraska, Andy breaks it down in a LOADED show. (0:00-6:29) Intro - Transfer News: Dante Moore to Oregon (6:30-11:19) Dylan Raiola Commits to Nebraska, and Andy reads his poem (11:20-16:49) More Portal News (16:50-31:21) Sean Callahan Joins to talk Dylan Raiola (31:22-32:56) Portal News Continues - KJ Jefferson enters (32:57-1:01:08) ESPN's Cole Cubelic joins (1:01:09-1:09:57) Andy Picks Bowl Games vs the Coin (1:09:58-1:11:15) Conclusion, More picks tomorrow! The flip the recruiting world has been waiting for has happened, and it came with a poem. Five-star QB Dylan Raiola flipped his commitment from Georgia to Nebraska, and announced it to the world by posting a poem. You know what that means: It's dramatic reading time. The Raiola flip isn't the only news in the college football world, though. Old Dominion and Western Kentucky played a classic in the Famous Toastery Bowl. One of Coach Prime's offensive line transfer commits flipped to Oregon. Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson officially entered the transfer portal. Plus, Andy explains the reasoning behind Malachi Nelson entering the portal. Next, Sean Callahan of Husker Online breaks down the historical significance of Raiola's commitment. Also, Sean explains what this could mean for the Cornhuskers in 2024. Later, Cole Cubelic (ESPN, the Cube Show Podcast, McElroy and Cubelic) joins to discuss the art of roster building as we head into 2024. How do you create good offensive and defensive lines if you didn't already have them before the transfer portal/NIL era? Next, Andy picks the next seven bowl games. He's done his homework, but he knows these games are notoriously difficult to pick. So instead of a human guest picker, he's picking against a coin. Want to watch the show instead? Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss upcoming bowl games and the Lakers hanging a banner for winning the In Season Tournament. Western Kentucky University and Old Dominion competed yesterday in the Toastery Bowl. Western Kentucky trailed 28-0 early in the second quarter before winning the game 38-35. WKU scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to win the Famous Toastery Bowl in OT over Old Dominion. Should Old Dominion be embarrassed? The Los Angeles Lakers won the 1st ever inaugural In Season Tournament. Last night, on Reese's birthday, they raised a banner in Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as Staples Center. How should people feel about this?

Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger & SI's Pat Forde pick the biggest college football games against the spread for Week 12 of the college football season. With two more weeks of the regular season to go, the guys analyze the top contenders to make the College Football Playoff. Georgia found themselves ranked #1 in the latest standings and they look like the team to beat for the second year in a row. The only thing standing in their way is a stubborn Alabama team that they will likely meet in the SEC championship game. Michigan and Ohio State's playoff berths will be decided by their matchup in a week and a half. If either team keeps the game close, then the committee could vote them both in, barring other undefeated teams getting a loss before then. Washington, Florida State, & Texas are the big wildcards for this year's playoff and all three teams will have to win out in order to get a chance to make the top four.In legal news, Washington State and Oregon State have been granted the exclusive rights to the Pac-12 conference in their court ruling. The ‘Pac-2' could look to add Mountain West scheduling and teams into their conference. The Mountain West is aiming to keep all 12 of their schools united in a possible transition to the new Pac-12.James Madison and Jacksonville State had their bowl eligibility appeals denied this week. There is hope that JMU can still make a bowl if not enough eligible teams qualify. Ross believes that the NCAA will take a long look at the FCS-to-FBS transition rule after this year's precedent set by JMU.The Bahamas Bowl is under construction so the location has been changed to Charlotte, North Carolina & the sponsor has been changed to the Famous Toastery Bowl. The Mid-Atlantic chain restaurant has stepped up when the sport needed them most and the gang is excited for it.Before getting to their official picks, the guys cover a new case of ultra marathon cheating during The People's Court. To close out the podcast, the guys give their picks against the spread for the #10 ranked Louisville Cardinals at the Miami Hurricanes, the #22 ranked Utah Utes versus the #17 ranked Arizona Wildcats, the #1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs at the #18 ranked Tennessee Volunteers, the #21 ranked Kansas State Wildcats taking on the #25 ranked Kansas Jayhawks, the #5 ranked Washington Huskies at #11 ranked Oregon State Beavers and as always, Dan, Ross & Pat give their locks of the week.1:00 - Updated CFP contenders36:53 - ‘Pac-2' wins their league rights43:30 - JMU & Jacksonville State bowl eligibility appeals denied46:55 - Bahamas Bowl is now the Famous Toastery Bowl48:47 - People's Court: Ultra-marathoners56:03 - #10 Louisville @ Miami60:00 - #22 Utah @ #17 Arizona1:02:36 - #1 Georgia @ #18 Tennessee1:04:10 - #21 Kansas State @ #25 Kansas1:06:40 - #5 Washington @ #11 Oregon State1:08:22 - Locks of the WeekFollow Dan @DanWetzelFollow Pat @ByPatFordeFollow Ross @RossDellenger
