Are you feeling stretched thin, trying to balance your career, family, faith, and personal growth? In this episode of Tuesday with Tamika, we're diving into real-life, practical time management strategies designed specifically for busy women of color who are juggling it all.Time is your most valuable asset, and learning how to manage it effectively without burnout is key to stepping into your purpose. This episode will help you reclaim your time, set boundaries, and stay aligned with your goals.Key Takeaways – 7 Ways to Take Control of Your Time:1. Identify Your Non-Negotiables Define the 3-5 most important things in your life (faith, family, career, self-care, etc.) and build your schedule around them.2. Create a “Real Life” Time Audit Track how you actually spend your time for a week—then evaluate what aligns with your goals and what doesn't.3. Time Block Like a Boss Structure your day with focused time blocks for work, family, self-care, and passion projects—while setting clear boundaries.4. Follow the “3D Rule” for Tasks Do It (if it takes less than 2 minutes, handle it now). Delegate It (ask for help—hire support, involve family). Delete It (let go of tasks that don't serve your goals).5. Set Weekly “CEO Meetings” With Yourself Every Sunday or Monday, review your week, set priorities, and make adjustments to stay aligned.6. Give Yourself Grace & Flexibility Progress over perfection—some weeks will be messy, and that's okay! Celebrate small wins along the way.7. Remember Your “Why” When overwhelm creeps in, reconnect with your purpose and remind yourself why you're doing this.Call to Action:Share this episode with three powerful women in your circle who need to hear this message! 262: “Social media is like sprinkles on top. It's nice to have, but it's not necessary. You would not fill an entire ice cream cone with only sprinkles unless you were high!” In this raw, unfiltered episode, Chelsea unpacks the question on everyone's mind: What the F is going on with social media? She explores the political undercurrents shaping platforms like Meta and TikTok, examines algorithm shifts, questions the ethics of AI, and highlights why diversifying your content strategy is more important than ever. **Snippets** from the episode: We cannot avoid the fact that social media is political. When you look at its founders, how they operate, their board members, where their money goes—you can easily see their values. I want to be known for creating “moving mountains-level” content, not just quick, funny videos. Social media is the sprinkles, but podcasts and newsletters? That's the actual ice cream. It started to feel like a toxic relationship where Instagram brings you flowers after treating you like shit. These platforms don't care about your mental health or your income—they care about keeping you addicted. AI-generated models look flawless, but is it ethical? A skincare brand using AI images isn't the same as seeing a real person using the product. It's like selling a dream that doesn't exist. Platforms can disappear overnight. MySpace didn't resurge. Vine didn't come back. If you're building your whole business on TikTok, what happens if it DOES get banned again? This is for you if you're an entrepreneur or creator navigating the chaos of social media. It's a reminder that we control our digital footprint—and it's time to invest in platforms we own, create content with purpose, and align our online presence with our core values. In today's episode, we will go over another one of my favorite & tested time management techniques called 'Eisenhower Matrix' which uses two labels URGENT & IMPORTANT to bucket tasks into 4 areas. Helps you to figure out categorization of tasks into Do It, Schedule It, Delegate It & Delete It buckets! Adding a resource here that I referenced for the episode notes, that has a picture of the matrix, if you were more of a visual learner. From there, you'll get the freedom and the change you want. Quotes: “I think it's really interesting when you stop and think about how much our self-worth gets wrapped up into our career and how little it takes for one person to be able to plant those seeds of doubt and to really let them fester inside yourself and really make you doubt yourself.” “Each of us is our own brand. And that's when you build that brand, you'll start attracting the people that are in need of you as far as a business or either in the job world or offering the positions that you're looking for.” “No one's gonna pay you what you're worth, only what they think you're worth. And so you're the one that's responsible for creating how they think about you.” “I really work with people to determine what they want out of that, you know, I said, we always talk about finding our dream job. And you know, I'm one of those that I don't think a dream job is a cert title or anything like that. I think your dream job is the job that financially compensates you enough for you to be able to do the things that you want to do in life.” “If you limit what you're willing to look at because you don't meet every single checkbox on the list, then you may be missing out on some of them, you know, the biggest opportunities that come your way.” “ Fear and excitement come from the same place in the brain. And when you feel yourself kind of afraid of the change or afraid of whatever, if you'll stop and think about it. No, it's really the excitement of the unknown or the excitement of what could be. And if you start reframing it that way, I think that helps you really to make that little push and to go ahead and take that chance.” “Freedom to me is really being able to set myself up in a way that I have the ability to do the things that I really enjoy doing and being able to impact others.” Chellie L Phillips Check out Chellie L Phillips's social media accounts Email: contact@chelliephillips.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chelliep LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chellie-phillips/ Website: https://www.chelliephillips.com Special offer - https://chelliephillips.com/planner Do you want to be a speaker/guest on my podcast? POP.121: Chellie Phillips author of “When In Doubt, Delete It!” https://chelliephillips.com (https://chelliephillips.com) In Episode 121 of The Power of Promise Podcast Dr. Brad Miller talks with author Chellie Phillips. Chellie Phillips, is the author of the recently released When In Doubt, Delete It!, guides you as you discover things you should delete that are holding you back; begin inserting ideas and qualities to help you grow; start moving toward new experiences and identify how to remain true to your authentic self. Together, we’ll connect the dots between your professional and personal dreams, so you can live a life of clarity and reach your successfully ever after. As young girls, we dream big dreams of finding our Prince Charming and living the successfully ever after fairy tale – but then life happens. I know, because it happened to me. I found myself waking up at a point in life wishing it was a bad dream. I knew I wanted a different ending to my story, but I was wallowing in my “bless her heart” moments and trying to drown the hurt with gallons of sweet tea. Then I sucked it up, realized I controlled my own future and started making my own edits. Just as an editor uses proofreader marks to make stories more readable and understandable, we can use those same edits in life to add more clarity, success and joy to our stories. When In Doubt, Delete It! shows you how to change your life with five proofreader marks – delete, insert, move, begin, and stet. Learn how to: Delete things holding you back. Insert qualities and ideas that help you grow. Move toward what brings you happiness. Begin adding new experiences to stay out of a rut. Remain true to yourself. If you’re ready to start a new chapter, Author Chellie Phillips created 36 Life Edits using her 20 plus years of experience in team building, mentoring and corporate public relations to show you how to take control of your choices and beliefs, so you’ll be ready to walk through the door of opportunity when it opens for you. Are we trusting artificial intelligence before its ready? Welcome to Law Zero: a podcast about the implications (intended or otherwise) of emerging technology. Our season 1 finale is tackling the topic that made us want to start this podcast in the first place: Artificial Intelligence + Trust. This show will cover everything from introducing Mark Sagar’s computer baby that inspired/scared us, how your spam filter is actually a type of A.I., why we think of A.I. as an impressionable toddler (who should NOT be given the keys to a Ferrari), and just casually screaming into the void.
