Ça fait longtemps mais aujourd'hui une heure de prog avec les nouveautés qui sont tombés depuis le début de l'année. Et si j'ai pu me demander à l'automne : où sont les femmes ? Eh bien on dirait qu'elles attendaient l'hiver pour se manifester. Outre les albums de Solann, Yoa (qui sera bientôt dans ce studio), Laura Cahen, FKA Twigs… plusieurs artistes qu'on suit sortent des singles ou des EPs en ce début 2025 : Eloi, Miki, Clara Kimera qui continue de lever le voile sur son projet solo après Agar Agar, oklou ou Camelia Jordana. Au programme de Place des Fêtes aujourd'hui, un meilleur moment en compagnie de Benoît Felix-Lombard, notre bel canto italien, qui aura attendu 3 saisons pour s'intéresser au cas d'Andrea Laszlo de Simone, nouvelle star turinoise de la musica leggera… Mais avant de dérouler cette émission assez girl power, je voudrais la dédier à une figure de l'ombre de la musique, du spectacle et de la culture à Marseille. Elle s'appelait Audrey Fricero, elle avait 33 ans et elle partie en quelques jours, alors qu'elle avait la vie devant elle. C'était une grande âme, drôle, pleine de vie et généreuse. À Tsugi on pense à sa famille, à ses proches, à ses ami·e·s et à ses collèges au sein de Grand Bonheur, la coopérative de musiques derrière le festival Avec le temps. I am crazy for Brazilian music and I know you are too ;) Get ready for a new musical trip alongside Sonido Tupinamba and Rodrigo Gorky (Dj Gorky from Fatnotronic / Phillipi & Rodrigo). Rodrigo was part of the groundbreaking electro-pop-funky carioca group Bonde do Rolê. The band signed with Domino Recods, toured with Cansei de Ser Sexy, was produced by the likes of Poolside, Diplo, Boyz Noize and had huge collaborators like Caetano Veloso. Nowadays Rodrigo is half of Fatnotronic a duo specialized in edits of obscure Brazilian boogie and balearic tunes that have been praised by 2Manydjs, Fatboy Slim and Diplo. He is also 50% of Phillipi & Rodrigo, an electronic duo that has just launched it´s debut album , recorded, produced and mixed at Studio DEEWEE (Label created and led by David & Stephen Dewaele from 2 Many DJ's & Soulwax) Besides these two amazing projects he also produces other artists, specially on the LGTBQI community. He discovered via Instagram the talent of the Drag Queen Pabllo Vittar and started building her skyrocket career. Pabllo Vittar is nowadays one of the biggest pop stars in Brazil which is something really outstanding considering the big homophobia that exists in the country. Here's a new mix courtesy of the Attic stable from Mr. Fazzolari @andrewfazzolari and myself—a warm-up effort on this occasion, recorded live from our recent takeover for 'Nights Like This!' at Goodbar in Sydney. We were handed the reigns of the upstairs bar for the entire evening, and we invited our new Melbournian friends, Milos and Jimmy from Kyoku Records @kyokurecords to join us! We all played in tandem for most of the night—and, not surprisingly, much fun was had!—and here is the first hour of the evening: very much on the deeper, low, slow tip; ideal for getting the night underway... the right way.
