What’s your Safeword, and will you wear the mask? When role-playing nerd Scott Glancy receives an anonymous invite to room 305 of the OceanView motel in Orlando FL, he has no idea what - and who! - waits behind that hotel room door. Is it Helen Mirren with a bullwhip? A Tom of Finland biker gang? But he must know, so he dons the fur-lined mask attached to the note, and discovers that the story of what happened inside has a shocking effect on strangers. But: is the story his Wingman, or is he the story’s Wingman? Like the 10 foot cockroach problem, this might be the world’s most dangerous tale! #Imagination #FinishTheStory #PushAllTheButtons   Song: ‘The Story’ (Brandi Carlile)   The next Bawdy Storytelling LIVESTREAM is themed ‘Sexual Freedom’, and it’s happening this Friday, July 3rd at 7 PM Pacific/10 PM Eastern  Tickets are now available at https://bit.ly/BawdySexualFreedom   What time is that for YOU? In todays episode, I will be quickly sharing what is the current situation being a creative going through the Covid-19 pandemic in New York City. Hopefully I'll be giving some insight and give some ideas on keeping occupied in this self quarantine season. Although this has completely turned our world upside down, my hope is that we do not loose sight of the future. Things will get better and don't be afraid to ask for help! I'll be leaving information on foundations, programs, and resources dedicated to taking care of people going through this crisis as well. That includes you freelancers, actors, artists, or just someone who can't afford groceries. I will be spreading them across all my platforms. You will not be left alone in this. I don't want to make it seem like I am in any means downplaying this but I am basing this discussion purely on what I have seen and heard in my part of the world. I am trying to bring a light heart and hope moving forward. Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy! Today's You've Been Warmed episode welcomes Dave Borlace - a growing YouTube star when it comes to the climate change conversation.Dave produces videos on his YouTube Channel - Just Have A Think - where he educates his over 50,000 subscribers on various topics related to climate change. The reason his content is so valuable is because he manages to condense heavy amounts of information into medium-sized videos - about 10-15 minutes long - which are easily digestible. Not everybody can read scientific papers and synthesize information, and not everybody has the time to research as much. I'm personally a big fan of his channel, having watched a lot of the content and found amazing insights in his videos detailing the IPCC 1.5 degree report, nuclear technology or the latest developments in battery tech.It was a pleasure to speak to Dave about his channel and his content creation process. We also dove deep into the individual changes he made to offset his own emissions, how important social movements are to creating lasting change, the difference between the Western world and developing countries when it comes to climate change, as well as the Nuclear vs Renewables debate. We also produced a video version of this episode which is available on Dave's YouTube channel - unfortunately I managed to only record his screen, so you won't be able to see me. Hopefully I'll learnt my lesson for the next video interview I do.I highly recommend watching or listening to the interview and definitely consider subscribing to Dave's channel and becoming a Patron - supporting high quality content around climate change will help him dedicate more time and educate more people about this crucial topic.DAVE'S RELEVANT LINKS'Just Have A Think' YouTube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRBwLPbXGsI2cJe9W1zfSjQ'Just Have A Think' Patreon Page - https://www.patreon.com/justhaveathinkTIMECODES3:40 - Dave's Background, How He Learned About Climate Change & Started His YouTube Channel10:30 Dave's Content creation process17:40 - Individual Changes That Reduce Emissions - How Easy Are They To Implement?27:50 - What About Systemic Change From Collective Action?33:10 - Western Nations vs The Developing World38:25 - The Path To Net-Zero Emissions - How Do We Get There?44:24 - The Nuclear vs Renewables Debate55:04 - Business vs Science vs Politics vs SocietyRESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODEDave's DIY Videos - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1wsfciQMOM'A farewell to ice' by Peter Wadhams - https://www.amazon.com/Farewell-Ice-Peter-Wadhams/dp/0241009413Zack Labe - https://twitter.com/ZLabeUdemy - https://www.udemy.com/Triodos Bank - https://www.triodos.com/Impossible Foods - https://impossiblefoods.com/Roger Hallam - https://www.rogerhallam.com/Extinction Rebellion - https://rebellion.earth/Fridays For Future - https://www.fridaysforfuture.org/Sunrise Movement - https://www.sunrisemovement.org/Michael Gove - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_GoveIPCC 1.5 Degree Report - https://www.ipcc.ch/sr15/Kevin Anderson - https://twitter.com/KevinClimateJHAT Negative Emissions Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbbUDnk79G4Molten-Salt Reactors - https://www.world-nuclear.org/information-library/current-and-future-generation/molten-salt-reactors.aspxJoshua Rhodes Episode - https://www.youvebeenwarmed.com/episodes/10-improving-energy-infrastructure-and-transmission-for-better-renewables-adoption-joshua-rhodesMike Kirby Episode - https://www.youvebeenwarmed.com/episodes/15-the-evolution-of-residential-solar-mike-kirby-lumina-solarJyri Engestrom Episode - https://www.youvebeenwarmed.com/episodes/the-ww2-inspired-mobilization-to-decarbonize-our-economy-w-jyri-engestrom-co-founder-yes-vcZack Exley - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zack_ExleyCommitted Emissions - https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-019-1364-3

In this episode, on Sunday, July 14, I'm almost to the St. Michael's College Campus in Colchester, VT, where I am staying. I talk a little about what will be happening over the next week and a half or so at the time of this post, which is a work and independence program. I talk about what will be happening on the weekends and state that I have mixed feelings about the program. After that, I mention that I'll be heading to the Seattle area from August 10 to the 17th to attend a technology camp at Microsoft from August 12 to the 16th, and also visit my sister, Jocelyn, who also lives in the area.   By the way, the wedding on July 20 has been moved to the end of August, so scratch that!   My Reflections On The First Week   It wasn't a bad start. It was interesting to be able to get around the college independently. We basically just about do everything on our own, from making our lunches every night to just following voices or sound queues to get somewhere unfamiliar. Not that there's no reason to have a guide anymore, but it is definitely an improvement to independence, although I have done some of the following sound thing before. On Wednesday, during IT at ReSOURCE in Williston, VT, which is my workplace for the next 2 weeks, I opened up a few computers. Thursday, I was at IT and tried to test a keyboard, and it didn't work until I had to just use a screen reader's keyboard help to be able to test whether every key worked on it or not.   Our Schedule For the Week   Mondays: Professional development day Tuesdays: Work at the garden Wednesdays through Fridays: Work at our location (for me it is ReSOURCE in Williston, VT) Weekends: Recreational activities   Hopefully I'll be able to get an episode or two in in the coming weeks, but if not, that probably means I'm pretty busy over the next while!   Support Me And My Podcast!   Please help by supporting me and my podcast through Patreon, a crowd-funding website where you--the patron--can support a creator, which is in this case, me. Dr. Seuss eat your heart out. It's podcast time guys, and today is half and half for nerd shit vs. real-life content. I was at a wedding, the official BM of the ceremony if you will. Having been married last year I can safely say attending a wedding is probably more fun than hosting one. Yes, not as special as your own wedding, and it's not for you, but daaamn I had very little to do at this wedding besides have fun. Whereas at my own wedding (and I'm sure at lots of yours) a lot of time was spent running the show, dealing with drama/family, kissing your spouse in front a thirsty crowd banging the table and chanting, etc. Anyway it was a nice time, Mazels to two very special peeps in my life. Besides that just expect more wadding into the dad pool. Lil' Art is every bit as cute as ever, but has become nocturnal and avoids sleeping at night at all costs. So that's fun. Complaints are limited though, as wifey definitely is getting the worse end of the stick.Let's talk about Pokemon Sun and Moon. I actually hated this show for a while. I caught the first few eps. when it came out, just couldn't get into it. Smoother (some will say "less detailed") animation styles replaced the more line-heavy anime flavor of its predecessors. The unfamiliarity of another cadre of young protagonists did literally nothing to interest me, and I flaked out. But after binge watching it (because it was on in the background, the baby was sleeping, and no one wanted to move) it grew on me. Now this isn't a Stockholm Syndrome type thing. I just came to the realization that there's weird merits to the show. It's much more self-aware than other previous seasons, allowing for a handful of meta jokes and self referential humor that obviously pays a bit of homage to older viewers. More than that though, the region they are in (Hawaii- I mean "Alola") is totally different from what we've seen. Not just because of the cool island breezes, but this is by far the most dangerous place to be. The humans and Pokemon live much more closely than in the traditionally painted cannon. For example, a gen 1 farm would have pigs/cows/chickens and maybe a Growlithe for protection. In Alola, the farm is Miltanks and any other livestock style creature. Mostly this is fine, but people keep getting attacked by Pokemon. And that's gonna straight up kill someone. It's also a lot of why I watch the show. Most Pokemon irrespective of their type or size, can easily kill a human being with their 4 abilities. Trying to catch a Weedle near you house? Ahh poison sting, guess you're dead. Trying to hike with the family on a local rocky trail? Geodude uses Self Destruct, 16 dead in the area. It's dicey out there.Anyway, Pokemon is neat. Hopefully I'll be able to catch Detective Pikachu soon, but thanks for listening guys and enjoy the groovy June weather while it lasts.Cheers!

Last Week: 269.6LBS This Week: 269.9LBS ⬆0.3:LBS I already know why I gained the weight this week. I overate last Monday. Not today, but last Monday. I'll be real with you, i've been very inconsistent when it comes to eating in my calorie deficit. I will go 6 days of being very strict, and then go overeat for a day/two/three. It's not very good. Hopefully I'll be successful in my February goal so that won't be a consistent problem. It'll be a battle I will always have to battle though. No ignoring that. Last Week's Goal: 15 Minutes on the Stairmaster. Completed that goal! Every workout this past week, I've been on the Stairmaster for 15 minutes. The ultimate goal is to get up to 30, and then gradually increase the speed. But I don't want to rush all at once to not burn myself out. So I'll make a slow increase in that. This Week's Goal: 50oz of Water Every Day I have been slacking when it comes to me drinking water every day. A huge help in my quest to be more full should be to get enough water. So the goal is to at least get 50oz of water every day. More than that is cool, but the goal is 50oz.

Prior to starting Primal Potential I worked for a dietary supplement company and worked to both formulate & market protein powders, vitamins, minerals and other products. I've also been a confused consumer, desperate to get healthy and eager to take any potion or product that would help. Hopefully I'll simplify this discussion dramatically in today's episode! In case you guys read these, I thought I'd briefly let you know why I'm only posting old episodes again. I've had issues with my heart since I was a little kid, and they just keep getting worse. It's been an awful and scary month, but I am supposed to find out my cardiologist's game plan next Wednesday, April 26th. So send me some love/prayers/vibes/health/thoughts/anything. I need it. Thanks for your patience. Hopefully I'll be back soon. I miss you guys and I miss being able to talk things out. It's not going so good, due to circumstances outside my control. For more updates on the computer situation and the travelling situation, check out @megtuten on twitter or sodasodabanana.tumblr.com. I'm actually really upset about this, because I have a lot of animation projects in the pipeline and I can't work on any of them without my desktop computer. The worst part is that it was working fine yesterday and only today did it totally fuck itself with no warning at all. Really though, the computer thing is just a part of it. I'm really tired. I'm dealing with personal shit that I don't think is worth going into and balancing all of that with my other projects, my animal rescues, and my new job as a tutor. Hopefully I'll be back to this gig in the future but if I never do then Zack, Ember and I host a weekly show all about deconstructing the works of RL Stine. Korin has a lot of feelings, as do we all, and we just had to get in a discussion about the implications from Season 2 episode Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered. I unfortunately wasn't even ready for this conversation and it seemed I had forgotten some major things to come. So I hope you enjoy and please let us know if you'd like to hear more spoiler-filled conversations. Hopefully I'll be more knowledgeable on future ones! It's not too often you get to interview your namesake! For this Listener Series episode, I chat with Jessica Watchorn, a Toronto artist and podcaster over at the Art Pro Podcast, about keeping it real financially, paying off a ton of debt and pursuing your dream career. Long description: It's not too often you get to interview your namesake for a podcast episode, so it was a real treat to chat with Jessica Watchorn for this Listener Series episode. And not only do we share a name, we have very similar stories, both currently live in Toronto and have our own podcasts! Similar to my background, Jessica went to art school in Montreal to study painting in the hopes of becoming an artist. She of course realized after graduating with her degree that pursuing a career in the arts, no matter how talented you are, was no easy feat.  But that didn't stop her. Nor did the $40,000 debt that she owed from her education. So what did she do? She got a job as a cook in a restaurant to pay her bills and debts, formed a community of other likeminded artists through her Art Pro Podcast, and focused on making her art on her off hours. As we talked about on the show, it doesn't matter how much you make at the end of the day. Your income shouldn't rule how you live your life. Jessica wants to be an artist, and that's exactly what she is and what she's doing. She may not be making her ideal salary right now, but she's able to afford the city life while pursuing her passion — now completely debt-free I might add. You go Jessica! Keep up the amazing work! Hopefully I'll be able to commission a painting from you one day. Jessica's Top Money-Smart Tips Tracking your spending. Jessica realized she was spending ridiculous amounts of money on small things at dollar stores that she had no idea about. Once she started tracking her spending, she found a way to save 50% of her income. Pay yourself first. When she gets paid, she immediately puts 50% of her pay into savings, and then uses the rest to pay for living expenses and bills.  Don't use your credit card for your day-to-day spending. Get in the habit of using cash or debit. It really does help you curb unnecessary spending. Be aggressive with your debt payoff plan. Remember, the faster you pay off your debt, the less money you'll have to put down. There's nothing more motivating than seeing your savings accounts grow.  Jessica's Finance Book Recommendation Early Retirement Extreme by Jacob Lund Fisker Check out Jessica's Podcast Make sure to subscribe and leave a review on iTunes for Jessica's awesome Art Pro Podcast! From Lucie Melen.. did something very dumb last week - looking into a tree at the split of the trunk, leaned in too far and headbutted a prickly branch, stabbing myself in the forehead and making cuts and bruises! The cache wasn't even in that tree - it was the one next to it... From The GCDoc.. Hello "On The Sauce" and Doctor D!   I've been meaning to tell this tale for quite sometime as I know we've all had similar happenings while out geocaching; and as the temperature start to rise in the Northern Hemisphere, what better time than now.   2012 brought an early spring to the great state of Minnesota, and like all good Minnesotan geocachers do when the sun shines just a bit brighter... I came out of "hibernation". I was very eager to start caching more you see, as winter caching in the upper Midwest can be very challenging. It's tough finding geocaches when buried 3 feet under snow, and difficult writing on logs when you can't feel your fingers.   The day was gorgeous! The sun was bright, warm, and persuading the winter snow to melt away. I was enjoying a lunch hour at a nearby park known for it's great geocache hides. I had just got out of a "mind-numbing" meeting and the fresh air was revitalizing. Of course since I was dressed to impress" I knew I wasn't going  to be able to make any real wooded finds, so while glancing at my phone I noticed a cache that was only a 100ft off of the paved trail.I figured I may as well look and see what the terrain was like before resorting to a P&G.   As I neared the cache I saw a green welcoming meadow with some tree cover bordering on the opposite side of the trail. With only 100 and some odd feet to the cache, it had to be just in the treeline. Ultimately the obsession won the debate whether to attempt this cache or not, and found myself already  halfway across the field. Upon arriving to the treeline the phone read another 50ft or so, but I told myself the accuracy was probably a bit off and the cache must be nearby. I let the GPS accuracy settle a little to realize my intuition was wrong. It seemed like I may have approached the woods on the wrong side, and if I wanted to avoid walking 2 miles I needed to do some bushwhacking.   Ok so You're probably thinks so what? 30-40ft of bushwhacking?!? do it! Remember though the state of my attire and the impending mud and water that follows a winters thaw.   Once again the internal conflict between common sense and caching addiction ensued. Which do you think won?..... I found my self tiptoeing into the brush feeling the squish of soft earth under my black leather dress shoes. With one hand holding the phone guiding me to the cache, the other swatting branches like flies I neared GZ... until I came upon the very thing I hoped I wouldn't have to deal with.... water! A small babbling brook stood between me and grabbing a smilie. It wasn't much of a stream but just wide enough and probably deep enough to cause me to stomp away with wet socks. "What's this? a bridge?" I noticed off to my left a small man-made bridge consisting of sticks and branches that some cacher most likely placed for people like me. The ones who weren't prepared with waterproof hiking boots. A sigh of relief as I know could cross untouched and bag the find...."SPLASH!"   That's right.... up to my waist in cold, murky, stinky water. The surrounding foliage and stick bridge must have played an evil trick on my eyes as to this day I still don't understand what exactly happened. All I recall is the log I chose to step up decided to move out of it's way and my left leg went all the way under along with half of my right all the while releasing a very girly "shriek".   Well.. I made the find, signed the log and slunk out of the woods on the opposite side I came in. I was wet, cold, embarrassed, and angry with myself for what just happened. As I look back now, I wish I would have been a vlogger then as it would have made one heck of a video! The morale of the story.... leave an extra set of dry clothes in your vehicle! Even if you think that this would never happen to you!   Cheers guys, keep up the awesome show!   Justin aka The GCDpoc Feedback.. G’Day Mark   Sorry I didn’t back to you earlier but I have only recently  listened to the podcast and heard a couple of queries about my email.   With regard to Trapezia Lick, I first tried to find the cache in June 2009 with my old yellow garmin etrex H and had 3 or 4 attempts over a 2 week period.   The hill to the cache is steep but the cache is at the bottom where it is not too bad. There is a lot of tree cover so it is hard to get a good reading on the GPS.   There is also more than one fallen tree in the area and I reckon I have searched under every one but obviously not the right one.   I had another couple of tries in  September of 2012, this time using my new eTrex 30 but again the cache remained elusive.   I will be back there again later this year and will have another go.   As far as differences go between running in Perth and running in England well to sum it up in one word is ‘mud’   The area around Perth is sand and even after heavy rain it is just wet sand. The paths I run along in the UK turn to muddy tracks after just a light shower. Not many people in Perth own a pair of wellington boots but it seems they are standard issue for anyone in  the UK that does a bit of walking.   However all that rain and mud does have a huge benefit. It produces a lot of green foliage. My wife used to tell me (she was born in England)  that Perth isn’t as green as England and I never believed her until I visited.  The paths through the woods in England are usually lined lush trees and shrubs with moss growing on the fallen trees and moist leaf litter on the ground,  very different to a path through the bush here.   I have attached 2 photos. One is a path along the River Itchen near Fairoak, Hampshire and the other taken along a track around a lake not far from my home. Both were taken in the summer time.   Looking forward to trying to beat my nemesis next time.   Cheers   ChrisRG Chris Gore   From Dave DeBaeremaeker Hey Oh Beep Folks   I just caught the first half of the latest episode and was impressed by the tale from Shorty Knits on her epic attempt to complete the Church Micro challenge.   Personally I think she should have been entered into the drawing. She certainly did all she could have to complete it, and was only thwarted by Mother Nature.   I did want to respond to a comment that Banana Sauce said about being surprised about the lack of caches with the name Church in them. This is not because of a lack of caches placed at churches, but rather not using Church in the name.   In my 4000-ish finds I only have 5 caches with the word Church in the title.   To further outline my point, I have exactly 5 caches in a 30 mile radius of my town with the name Church in the title, 3 of which I have found. However there are an estimated(because I am going from memory) 20 caches, out of the 400 or so caches I've found in my 30 mile radius that are placed at church's.  This number likely quadruples if you go with caches placed near churches (i.e. where you can see a church from GZ). Mind you, I live in the US South, aka the Bible Belt, and there are churches pretty much everywhere you go.   I was unable to complete this challenge.  Hopefully I'll have better luck with the next one.   Cheers Is it pronounced Michigan or Michigan? I don't even know how long I've been doing this. My window-shopping the Essen lists predates this podcast of nine years. Who else fondly remembers Mik Svellov's Brett'n'Board], Ken Tidwell's Game Cabinet, or all the other places we learned about Essen before, during, and after the fair? Now, of course Eric Martin does an amazing job here at BGG with the annual Essen Preview. It has nearly six hundred items when I finally stopped looking on Friday. Wow!   It took me two passes to get through these lists. For some reason, I found a LOT more games that interest me this year. Is that because there are more of the shorter, family strategy games that I like? That might be true. Not that there were a lot of the 45-minute "superfillers," but I think there were more filler/microgames at the low end--under 20 euros, under 30 minutes. The ones that are still Love Letter derivatives about bluffing & hidden identity don't interest me, but there several others. As before, we see more and more offerings from other countries, especially Japan, Korea, and Poland.   My first pass through that megalist came up with 30 I was really excited/curious about, and another 50 that had something that sparked my interest. Though that's 80 games (waaaay too many to discuss on the podcast), that's culling out more than 80% of the titles in the full preview. Then I squeezed it down to ten I put in my companion geeklist, and discuss on this episode, plus several other titles that work their way into the discussion. Wow!   Also, I can't resist some meta-analysis of the entire list, and how well my previous years' anticipation lists matched what became my keepers from those years.   Finally, this episode anticipates something else, too--my return to BGG.con! I'm so excited about this. I went to the first BGG.con a decade ago, but it's grown & changed quite a bit since that time. I'm coming up to speed with what to expect, doing some planning, but not TOO much. Hopefully I'll meet some listeners and play some games with them when I'm there next month.   -Mark

I sat down with my charts and a stitch marker this week and tinked back the row 3 times before I found the spot where the titch was missing. I picked it up and the lace hole ma be a touch bigger than the rest but I’m back on course and in the beginning of chart # 3. This is slow going because it's not to the point of being social knitting yet. The long easy part in the middle is coming! The Hitchhiker by Martina Behm I'm doing a KAL with a friend I met at Camp Kip. We decided back on Towel Day (May 25th for all you non Douglas Adams fans out there.) I chose to knit mine from the Briar Rose yarn I bought from the Great Lakes Wool festival. I love this yarn it has a bit of nylon in it and all the garter stitches shine a bit like beads. The color way I’m using is called Sea Pearl but I had about 6 in m hands and had to pare way down. I could have spent my entire budget in that stall. The Basic Sock by Patons One sock down and one to go. I finished the first of Nichol's bday socks. Hopefully I'll get this sock to her ASAP so she can try it on. I'm a bit worried about the length. She does wear a bigger size than I do but I'm nervous I've over shot. What's In My Tea Pot Materials Sourcing A few weeks ago I caught a LOOP update on ETSY. These updates are much like trying to snag Woolmeisse or getting a Phat Fiber box. I was amazing luck because I got stuck at work on managed to get a bat while sitting in the car at Day Care. B was pretty annoyed that mom was looking at the phone and not driving but I got that bat. The bat I got is called Hint of Mint it has lavender purple, hunter green, acid green celery green, hot pink, and mint all in a 5.6 oz of Merino, corriedale, nylon, and angelina. SPARKLE! There's sparkle all through this bat. I'm down to the last of the color progressions I have the last of the hot pin and the mint green and just the plying left to go. I'm pretty sure this will be a n-ply to keep the color progression intact. I started washing my fleece this week as well. I sectioned two pieces out that would fit into one of the many dish tubs I have and pre soaked them for about 20 minutes in luke warm water. BLECH that was some dirty water. I then put the sections in old pillow cases and tried to do the washing machine method. I don't think my hot water heater gets hot enough to get the lanolin out because after 2 rinses in hot water when the fleece dried it was still very sticky. So I took a smaller piece the next day and soaked it in hotter water from my teapot and some dawn dish liquid. This seems to have gotten it but the fleece is still drying . In my impatience I did grab some of the grease fleece and test spun some locks. I had never spun in the grease before. I can see why some people think it's gross. But once my hands were already greasy what the heck. I flicked the locks open with a handy dog brush and the spun well. On my high speed bobbin I got a fingering weight single. I need much thicker for my sweater so I'm going to make some adjustments to my counter weight brake and see what I come up with. After 5 The craziness continues. The work situation is still the same for Joe and I. He got of work this weekend I got to spend Saturday desperatly calling truck drivers. Woohoo! Last week was Nate’s big 18th birthday party bash. This whole party started out because I couldn't think of something to do that was to immature for him and his friends. So I had two ideas. A city wide Geo cache scavenger hunt or Zombie tag. He picked the Geo Cache so the planning began. I drove around town and picked out 8 spots to hide the clues and that had a great picture spot nearby. I got the GPS coordinates for all of these places and encoded all of the driving directions and set up the decoding system. I ran around Saturday morning hiding the boxes. In the beginning Nate had invited his entire face book friends list and passes out fliers at school. This was about 150 invites. I was pretty worried about that but was relieved to have only gotten 20 RSV P’s. So I got a sheet cake and 2 sheet pizzas a cooler full of pop and enough “car Goodies” for 5 cars full of teens. What shows up? Nate's 5 best friends. A bit of a let down but Nate had a good time running through the city with his friends and I have some awesome pics and a TON of extra pizza and cake. I took some time out to read a book this week as well. Every may for the last couple of years brings the newest Sookie Stackhouse book. The latest is called Dead Locked. I'm pretty invested in this series but if I were a new reader I don't think I would have continued the series. I felt that Charlaine was wrapping up the series and perhaps ma have given away the answer to the big question. “Who will sookie end up with?”

We look at a case involving the statute of limitations and the issue of reliance on IRS advice.  In the case of A. L. Katz & J. L. Miller v. United States the United States Court of Claims explains that a taxpayer cannot use the fact that an IRS employee told them a claim could be filed by a date that turned out to be after the statute had expired to reopen the statute.  As well, the case provides an opportunity to look at the general rules that are involved with Section 6511 and the statute of limitations on claims for refund. The materials for the podcast can be downloaded from http://edzollars.com/2006-09-16_Statute.pdf .The next couple of weeks may prove challenging in getting the podcast up, as I will be traveling to Novi, Michigan to speak on Monday, come back to my office for Tuesday through Thursday, and then head off on my "Southern" speaking trip, speaking at the Virginia Accounting and Auditing Conference in Roanoke, Virginia on Monday, September 25 and then in Memphis, Tennessee for the Tennessee Society of CPAs on Employee Benefit Plans on Wednesday, September 27.  Hopefully I'll be able to get some podcasts put together in that time frame. The podcast is sponsored by Leimberg Information Services, located on the web at http://www.leimbergservices.com .
