ON this episode of AVA Live radio, Jacqueline Jax reviews the Kendrick Lamar 'Count Me Out' Music Video. In the “Count Me Out” music video from rapper Kendrick Lamar's Grammy-nominated “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” album, the 35-year-old artist gets deep with his therapist — played by Dame Helen Mirren. Co-directed by Lamar and pgLang co-founder Dave Free, the black-and-white video begins with Lamar seated in front of a closed piano, with Mirren's voice calling to his attention. He turns around as the camera focuses in on Mirren. Before the music begins, they discuss an incident in which Lamar denied taking a parking spot from somebody before admitting that he did, and the two share a laugh. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message

NBA YoungBoy Lil Nas X Late To Da Party Reaction video with Jacqueline Jax. The video is created with a sense of humour which I think is really important especially during these times. The topic draws on a previous grievance with BET awards and Lil Nas X but plays as a way to add some much needed comedy to the tension. Queen Latifah also recently stuck up for Lil Nas X, who believes his sexuality could be part of the reason why he has purportedly been black-balled by BET, and explained why she thought he deserved a nomination while speaking to TMZ outside of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Lil Nas X is amazing,” she graciously replied. “He should've been nominated. I don't know if that's the case. I don't know what's behind all that, but inclusion is always the key. That's what we should be striving for. There's enough room in this world for everybody.” on Friday (June 24), the “Industry Baby” rapper joined forces with NBA YoungBoy in the official music video for his “Late To Da Party (F*CK BET)” single, which he first teased a snippet of on his personal social media earlier this month. The Gibson Hazard-directed music video further plays on Lil Nas X's rift with BET in the intro of the visual, which recreates the cover art for the single featuring a BET Award trophy at the bottom of a toilet bowl being urinated upon. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message
Left and Right Charlie Puth Jung Kook BTS Reaction with Jacqueline Jax. This is clearly a hit pop song. It has everything you need from a summer hit. It's fun and light with uplifting tempos and catchy lyrics. There's isn't a fan of either one of these artists who won't adore what they have created and delivered. Charlie Puth has delivered amazing vocals with catchy rhythms and energy. Jung Kook from BTS has brought a silky smooth vocal that compliments Puth with charming elements that melt together to give us something we can listen to on repeat. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message
This was a HUGE Surprise. I can't believe the animation on this video! WOW. Pharrell Williams Cash In Cash Out ft. 21 Savage, Tyler, The Creator . For his latest single “Cash In Cash Out,” Pharrell goes the stripped-back route—the beat is nothing more than airtight snare drums, a blown-out 808, and vocal chirps. 21 commits to the march, rapping about charging a million dollars just to show up and warping a reference to the stoner comedy classic How High into a cold gun metaphor. Meanwhile Tyler—always one to relish a chance to rap over his idol's beats—hop-scotches across pockets, still in Call Me If You Get Lost flex mode. From the beat to the guest pairing, “Cash In Cash Out” is dark but playful, continuing Pharrell's streak of finding the beauty in opposites. In Halseys newest music video for “So Good”, fans got a rare glimpse into her love story with boyfriend Alev Aydin. The song premiered on June 10, accompanied by a music video that turns the feeling of “right place, wrong time” into a visual masterpiece. Both Halsey and Aydin star in the “So Good” music video, and their chemistry is undeniable. The moody music video tells the story of Halsey and Aydin's relationship, which sprung from a creative partnership. “Alev and i first met because he was supposed to write and direct a movie about my life," Halsey wrote on Instagram. “And now he's written and directed this little film about OUR life.” True enough, the video shows Aydin directing Halsey on a video shoot, as another version of Halsey looks on. In the end, Halsey and Aydin finally embrace. The song's release comes after a viral series of videos Halsey posted on her TikTok claiming that her label wouldn't allow her to release “So Good” unless it became viral on social media. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message
BTS PROOF LIVE REACTION Born Singer | WOW Amazing Vocal performances, set design and harmonies. This release is clearly a fan favourite and certainly anticipated by BTS army fans. Two-time Grammy-nominated K-pop group completed nine years since their debut. On the occasion of their 9th debut anniversary, BTS organised a special video titled Proof Live in which they were joined by special guest Anderson Paak. The pre-recorded event featured the members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — performing songs from their newly released album Proof. They were seated in a deserted amusement park with a live band surrounding them. They began the Proof Live session with a performance of Born Singer and followed it with their first-ever performance of Yet To Come. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message

SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) 'HOT' Official MV Currently number seven on trending music this band has come out swinging. The video now has over 12 million views and 53,000 comments making this appear to be a summer blockbuster for K-pop group SEVENTEEN. #seventeenhot #reaction Seventeen's fourth full album was preceded by their first English-language single Darl+ing, released last month. That song felt very much like a placeholder, as many pre-releases tend to be. Now that anticipation has been built, it's time for the main course. With Hot, the guys are back with a harder-edged hip-hop track (what else is new in K-pop boybandom?) and they make it work despite fighting some polarizing production choices. "Hotel Lobby Unc", the intro to Migos member Takeoff's debut album is reminiscent of one of their first hits, "Versace". It is an autotune based slow jam with rapid adlibs and a relative slower tempo than most of Migos's tunes, which creates a dreamlike vibe. It is produced by Buddah Bless. Migos‘ Quavo and Takeoff have released a new single as a duo, prompting their bandmate Offset to unfollow them on social media. Kirshnik Khari Ball, known professionally as Takeoff, is an American rapper. He is best known as a member of the hip hop trio Migos along with his uncle Quavo and first cousin once removed Offset. Quavo and Takeoff have announced a new project under the name Unc and Phew, releasing debut single ‘Hotel Lobby'. You can hear the new single, along with Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas themed visuals below. Since they released the song, Offset is no longer following either of his bandmates on social media, fuelling rumours of the trio's breakup. His wife Cardi B has also apparently unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff. Quavo is Takeoff's uncle, so some of the promotion surrounding their new track “Hotel Lobby” has referred to them as Unc & Phew, but the song is officially credited to Quavo & Takeoff while still incorporating the Unc & Phew branding into the cover art. The song finds them busting out their signature triplet flows over a slow-creeping trap beat by Keanu Beats, Fabio Aguillarr, and Murda Beatz. Basically it sounds like a more ominous, Eastern-tinged “Bad And Boujee,” which I'm not complaining about. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message
Post Malone is the gift that keeps on giving. He released his new single "Cooped Up" today, and it's just as good as you'd expect. The song features Roddy Ricch and has a catchy beat that'll have you singing along before you know it. Jacqueline Jax gives you her first reaction to the music video before writing her review for new Music Release Radar. Post Malone and Roddy Ricch Cooped Up Reaction Video The track is about Post's struggle with fame and how he feels like he's "cooped up" in a world of people who don't understand him. There are some lines that really stand out: "My life's been one big lie/I'm so sick of this place/I'm just trying to live my life" If only we could all relate to those lyrics! It's clear from this track that Post Malone is really trying to push himself as an artist but still staying true to his roots. We can't wait for more new music from him! Currently number 27 on the trending YouTube music playlist SleazyWorld Go by Sleazy Flow (Remix) ft. Lil Baby is rising quickly with over 500,000 plays in less than 24 hours. SleazyWorld Go One of the most promising stars to emerge out of Kansas City has been flooding the streets with hits like "Baghdad Flow" and "What They Gone Do To Me?.' The release of “Sleazy Flow” gained him significant success helping him to secure a deal with island records as he prepares for his breakout moment. The new video released is the remix to the hit record and features another very hot artist who just performed at California's music festival Coachella 2022, lil Baby. With the typical Bragi bars the two rappers seem to complement each other well and according to the fans this is a clear hit for summer. It looks like sleazy world go is an easy pick to top the charts this summer in hip-hop.. He will certainly sit up at the top along side of trending rappers such as NBA YoungBoy and lil Durk. The single doesn't seem to offer anything especially different from many of the hip-hop singles currently trending from this group but the current culture does reflect on wealth and status as newcomers enter the game. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message
On this episode, Jacqueline Jax reviews the music and music video for NBA YoungBoy new single 'Proud of Myself'. NBA YoungBoy continues to consistently release music despite his house arrest situation. Earlier this month he and Quavo collaborated on ‘Don't Rate Me‘ and he dropped ‘See Me Now‘. Now, he (presumably) closes out the month with a new one called ‘Proud Of Myself'. Just like all of the rapper's releases, it comes with a music video that you can check out below. In case you missed the announcement, in August he's dropping his new album The Last Slimeto which is 30 tracks long. The 22-year-old Baton Rouge- based rapper has gone through his fair share of hardship throughout his life and musical career. Fortunately the music constitutes an outlet allowing him to navigate through his emotions very well. His vocal this year is on point with incredible consistency and emotion ringing through a rapid fire of lyrics that seem to pour out. In fact, it was these hardships that helped him become a unique type of artist. NBA YoungBoy is able to exploit his emotional vulnerability to create music suitable for his playlist. After his release from prison last year, the rapper released some of his best music including the introspective ” Heart & Soul “. “Hold My Hand” by Lady Gaga is a spacious reverb-soaked midtempo ballad with string vocals, booming drums, and of course, an electric guitar solo. The track also recalls ‘80s-era arena-pop and Gaga's 2011 hit “The Edge of Glory” but certainly benefits from her aged and more controlled vocal skills that seemed to develop from the 2018 vocals of ‘Shallow' and “Always remember us this way”. Lady Gaga 'Hold My Hand' REACTION with LYRICS~ TOP GUN Movie Soundtrack. The rock-influenced anthem has Gaga belting well before she hits the chorus. It's a song that demands vocal skill, strength and consistency but the songstress tackles it with ease. Does “Hold my Hand” have what it takes to replace the original theme song “Take My Breath Away,” by Berlin? The lyrics are uplifting and inspiring, defiantly confident and Lady gaga's vocal performance worthy of goose bumps but lyrically the song lacks content and the music although very good, needed a more powerful finish. I felt the start was strong but it's as if the writer forgot that this song had a purpose and high expectations. At 2:25 when you would expect the most powerful lyrics and vocals would be delivered there's an anticlimactic feel. Sure Gaga finished the song with a signature reverb solo but why did the ‘Hold my hand' lyric just keep repeating. And the final lyric melody on the late bridge was so monotonous. I know you're scared and your pain is imperfect But don't you give up on yourself I've heard a story, a girl, she once told me That I would be happy again I'm such a big fan of Lady Gaga but I do wish this song kept delivering more after the initial 2 minutes. The end felt like it left me hanging. Read full review on https://www.newmusicreleaseradar.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message
JAX takes a deeper look at lyrics, production, and artistic expression in this Kendrick Lamar N95 REACTION video. At a time when we are all just coming out of a pandemic that kept us apart for so many years, Kendrick Lamar Digs deep on the issues we have all had to face in his latest music video N95. The video for the track "N95," which dropped over the weekend with the release of Lamar's latest studio album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is an effective and passionate reaction on Hot topics from politics to social culture. Lamar tapped into so many cultural references and hot buttons that make this song one of the most relevant that I've heard in 2022. His ability to sing with clarity and get his message across effectively makes him stand out in the never ending see of music that has been releasing week after week. The latest installment in his long-running song series Heart comes with a jarring video just ahead of his forthcoming album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Kendrick Lamar The heart Part 5 REACTION is POWERFUL and Honest. Is Lamar Preparing us for his biggest life shift yet? Kendrick Lamar dropped the first volume of his “The Heart” single series in 2010 one year before the release of his 2011 breakout album Section.80. Twelve years later, his respect within the industry is unparalleled and he's the first and so far only rapper ever to win a Pulitzer Prize. But gold can't erase the bloodstains of the past, a fact that Lamar openly grapples with on his latest single “The Heart Part 5.” Each new installment in “The Heart” series is a status update, a palate cleanser to prepare for whatever direction Lamar is heading next. “Part 5” has slightly more meta tendencies than usual. “As I get a little older, I realize life is perspective,” --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ava-live-radio/message
