The game was not without controversy on both sides as Kentucky Basketball was the beneficiary of two questionable fouls at the end of the first half while Auburn benefited from a call at the end of the game. It was the final call that had Mark Pope steaming after his news conference. The Alabama Crimson Tide got a 90-83 road win at LSU Saturday. Alabama Basketball had five players in double figures en route to the win. This came on the heels of Alabama being left out of the NCAA selection committee's top 16 teams. Committee co-chair Martin Newton indicated Alabama and Arkansas are just on the outside looking in. The NCAA Selection Committee released their Top 16 seeds just before Saturday's games.
