This week on People+Culture we sit down with Bishop Smith. Bishop L. Spenser Smith grew up the 3rd of 4 children but always seemed to standout among the Smith clan; accomplishing great things ahead of his age. Growing up as a musical prodigy, he began singing before audiences at the age of 4, taught himself to play piano at age 11, and secured his first minister of music position at age 12. Reared in a musically gifted and deeply religious family, it was clear where Bishop Smith's path would eventually lead him. After graduating with honors from Cross High School in 1989, he attended Florida A&M University, majoring in Music Education. While there, he was a member of the World Famous Marching 100 and Director of the FAMU Gospel Choir. After graduating in 1995, he worked in the Duval County Public School System as a middle school band director. In 1996, at the age of 26, Bishop Smith began his pastoral ministry at the New Testament Church, Inc. in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after the untimely passing of his father-in-law, the Reverend Charles E. Moore. His profound and courageous leadership has caused the ministry to be a life-changing force, not only in Tuscaloosa, but throughout the region and nation. In 2000 at the age of 29, he became one of the youngest men to be duly consecrated as a Bishop in his reformation, Kingdom Fellowship Covenant Ministries, based in Baltimore, MD. In 2005, Bishop Smith founded the IMPACT HOUSE in Birmingham, AL, a thriving ministry impacting the South Central region. Bishop Smith's accomplishments are numerous. They include: • Highly- Sought Life Coach & Inspirational Speaker • Stellar Award Nominated Recording Artist, Songwriter, Producer, working with gospel artists such as Donald Lawrence, Twinkie Clark, Karen Clark-Sheard, Men of Standard, and Marvin Sapp • Author of the new books, The Altar'ed Life & Getting Ready for Love • Who's Who Among American Executives and Leaders • The American Heritage of Leaders Honor Recipient • Member, Joint College of Bishops Congress, Cleveland, OH • President, Unity Covenant Fellowship of Interdependent Churches and Ministries, • CEO, Move With Him Entertainment • Senior Pastor, The Impact Nation Fellowship Church, Birmingham & Tuscaloosa • He is the husband of the beautiful Patrice Moore Smith, and the father of 3 lovely and gifted children: Jori Aaliyah, Jamel Alexander, and Jarren Andre • Doctorate of Divinity, St. Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville, FL. • A proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. As a young man, he embraces his purpose for life as one that is to empower others, especially young people, for success and achievement; encouraging a new generation of leaders to emerge through a strong belief in God and a heart for His will, and faith to persevere through life's challenges to manifest the Kingdom of God.

Not many people – including the subjects of Roman Catholicism - consider what the Vatican and Holy See are all about, and therefore, they do not realize the worldwide power these institutions hold making Roman Catholicism not only a religious organization, but also a formidable governmental and economic entity as well.As the signs of the times continue to unfold before us with lightning speed, the Holy Spirit is granting us His Wisdom in understanding the inner workings of the many agencies that have been working across time with networking precision, in the formation of a “New World Order” not the least of which is Roman Catholicism and the Pontiff who rules over it.In this Study, we will lay out the facts about the Vatican and Holy See with revealing evidence of the universal power they hold, giving revealing prophetic identity to their role in the soon coming Antichrist global reign. It is then my hope that anyone who says they belong to Jesus and yet remain a Roman Catholic will quickly realize the choice they must make – either for Jesus and the Eternal Life He alone can give - or for the Babylonian counterfeit of Roman Catholicism which will only lead to death and an eternity away from the God of Love Who gave His everything to ransom them from that death.Support the show (http://www.agapelightministries.com/tp40/Application.asp?app=Donate&ID=39635)

What Love Is to You? What you want from Love? Who do you want to Love You?

FUMC New Braunfels Podcast

"Love Who?" By Pastor Jason Adams Luke 10:25-37 New International Version (NIV) The Parable of the Good Samaritan 25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” 27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]” 28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” 29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ 36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” 37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.” Footnotes: Luke 10:27 Deut. 6:5 Luke 10:27 Lev. 19:18 Luke 10:35 A denarius was the usual daily wage of a day laborer (see Matt. 20:2).
