“You Want Me to Do What?” – Like Peter’s call to fish for persons, the outcomes are unpredictable when people risk encountering each other across cultures, groups, and traditions, thereby moving beyond the stereotypes they have embraced. We may learn that the most profound and significant experiences of God and life are not to be....

The process of curating this final entry in the series has been anything but smooth—starting and stopping more times than I'd like to admit. Normally, I prefer to have everything in place and finish a set in one go, but the lack of standout releases made this a real challenge. That's not to say there aren't any gems in this mix. Quite the opposite—through persistence and digging deep across DJ services, Beatport, and even Spotify, I uncovered tracks that truly move me. And if they move me, I know they'll bring my followers to the dancefloor. Party Favorz doesn't stop until the job is done. This set features several updated throwbacks, many of which are making waves on DJ charts, while others may have flown under the radar—until now. As always, Party Favorz is here to bring the best to light. Highlights include: Diplo's rework of Gala's '90s Eurodance anthem "Freed From Desire." David Timothy's fresh take on Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms." Tommy MC's reimagining of Jody Watley's '80s classic "Don't You Want Me." Stuart Ojelay's heavenly spin on Danny Tenaglia's "Music Is the Answer." Stone Van Brooken's faithful update of Faithless' "Insomnia." Block & Crown's transformation of The Fugees' "Ready or Not" into a House anthem. TLC's celebratory House remix of their hit "Creep" for CrazySexyCool's 30th anniversary. Cosmic Dawn's Afro House remix of Everything But the Girl's "Missing." Most of these reworks remain true to the original while modernizing them for today's dancefloors. Exceptions like TLC's "Creep" lean heavily into reinvention, but it works beautifully. The trend of revamping classics continues with notable remakes, such as: Ava Max's rendition of "Forever Young." Ku De Ta's "Dance I Said," sampling Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It." Alesso & John Alto's update of Yes' "Owner of a Lonely Heart." Matt Sassari & Hugel's faithful revival of Sonique's "It Feels So Good," featuring a new vocalist. Jax Jones, Azteck, and Norma Jean Martine's fresh take on the Rihanna riff from Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie." It seems the trend of revamping tracks from yesteryear—be it from parents' record collections or early CD libraries—is here to stay. When done right, these reworks breathe new life into the dancefloor. Clocking in at just over three hours, this set blends fresh, new releases with timeless reworks, making it a strong contender for your end-of-year holiday parties. And the fun doesn't stop here—our Top Dance Songs of the Year set drops in a few weeks,

Welcome to 'Don't You Want Me?' - a podcast series taking a lighthearted look at the most relatable, intriguing and dysfunctional relationships in film. For this episode we're clambering onto our car tops for 2016's Damien Chazelle movie musical La La Land. This film about found and lost Hollywood dreams held the 2017 Best Film Academy Award for about thirty seconds, before missing out to the Barry Jenkins-directed Moonlight. That's show business. And we have our own star joining us this evening to chat about the connection between Mia and Sebastian, it's podcaster, all-round cinephile and La La Land superfan Amelie Thomas. Rich Nelson and Catrin Lowe (Don't You Want Me? podcast) return to Flixwatcher to review Catrin's choice Oasis: Supersonic. Oasis: Supersonic (2016) is a documentary charting the almost overnight success of Oasis in the mid 1990s. Directed by Mat (Spike Island) Whitecross it stars the brothers Gallagher, Noel and Liam respectively as they reflect on their ascent to mega stardom and record breaking double gigs at Knebworth in 1996. In classic documentary style we start with the Gallagher's growing up in Manchester and hear from Peggy Gallagher. We follow their quick rise to fame and the release of Definitely Maybe and hear their tales of rock n roll debauchery. Recommendability scores for Oasis: Supersonic were pretty high, its mix of 1990s nostalgia and the hilarious Gallagher's make it an easy watch even for a casual Oasis fan. Strong scores across the other categories gives Oasis: Supersonic a solid overall rating of 3.99. Catrin Lowe and Rich Nelson (Don't You Want Me? podcast) return to Flixwatcher to review Rich's choice Spencer. Spencer (2021) is directed by Pablo (Jackie) Larraín and written by Steven (Peaky Blinders) Knight and stars Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana experiencing an existential crisis (nightmare) during Christmas 1991 when she spends the holidays at Sandringham with the British royal family. The supporting cast includes Sean Harris as Darren McGrady, head chef to the royal for 15 years, Sally Hawkins as royal dresser Maggie (possibly inspired by Fay Appleby, Diana's real-life dresser and loyal friend) and Timothy Spall as Equerry Major Alistair Gregory (an amalgamation of royal staff). It is important to note that while the film is inspired by a real-life moment in Diana's life, it is based longtime rumours and real events, and is very much a work of fiction. Recommendability scores for Spencer reflected the ambiguous nature of some of themes and the absence of a traditional narrative. Engagement scores were on the lower end due to the run time of over two hours and the vibes as opposed to actual plot, to give Spencer an overall score of 3.22. Devotion on Missions, Isaiah 6:8. 2 pages. And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me” (Isaiah 6:8). Unlike Isaiah's eager response, my initial reaction when asked to join a Haiti mission team was “Who, me? I'm a hot-headed, socially clumsy, middle-aged, adult convert from the backwoods. What credentials do I have to offer a team of experienced mission trippers?” I thought. God, You Want Me? John St Peeters was born in Melbourne, in 1956, to Italian-born parents, Pasqualino Lo Piccolo – a greengrocer – and Giovanna (née Basile). He grew up in Richmond with a younger sister, Josephine "Jo". Early in his career he performed as Johnny Lo Piccolo. From the age of 11 he played piano accordion on TV talent quests, such as Brian and the Juniors, New Faces, variety shows, including In Melbourne Tonight, and at clubs in Melbourne. John St Peeters and the Sharells were formed in 1974, as a vocal trio, with two female vocalists, Niki Nicholls and Kim Julin. They performed "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" on the Ernie Sigley Show in May 1975. They toured Australia, North America and South-East Asia before issuing a single, "Take Me if You Want Me", in October on the Astor label. He resumed his solo career in 1976 with a disco-based single, "You Know that You're Sexy", in November of that year. Peeters signed with EMI Records, which issued his next three singles, "Shiny Side Up" (June 1977), "Fadin' Away" (October) and "Love the Way You Move" (December): At the King of Pop Awards of 1977 St Peeters won Most Popular New Talent. In the following year his contract was taken up by RCA Records. He released his next single, "Deep Inside of Me", co-written by Peeters and Aldo Lennard, He followed with his debut album, So Many Ways (1978), produced by Spencer Lee. In 1979 he formed the John St Peeters Band and toured the Australia club circuit. He appeared on teen pop music TV show, Countdown, from 1976, he co-hosted an episode in June 1978. He later reflected "The biggest thrill of all, though, was making it on the biggest television music show that existed during those years — Countdown, hosted by Molly Meldrum. What a fantastic experience that was." He premiered his single, "Wonder World", on the show in March 1980; it is the theme song for Simon Townsend's Wonder World, a children's variety TV series.
