Jacob Cohen has run a 5K in a dog crate, a port-a-potty, and on top of the Empire State Building–-and no, he is not stopping anytime soon. Before he was the internet's favorite 5K guy, Cohen was an investment banker in Atlanta, overweight and grinding through a banking job while his content dream sat on the back burner. Running, however, changed everything. It helped him lose more than 40 pounds, and a run club of full-time creators convinced him to hit record. He posted for a year to 2,000 followers before a joke 5K around his coffee table in October 2025 lit the fuse: it led to 100,000 followers in 50 days and a full-blown escalation of the most absurd run locations imaginable. In this conversation with Dominic, Cohen pulls back the curtain on the videos everyone's friends keep sending them. He addresses the skeptics head-on (yes, he really does the 5Ks; the watch accuracy is another story), reveals his most physically miserable run location, and explains why the World Cup crowd was in on the bit. He also opens up about the deeper mission: rejecting the unattainable, chicken-and-rice version of fitness the internet sold him at his lowest, and proving working out can actually be fun.Plus, his surprisingly generous take on David Goggins, celebrity collabs with Diplo, Bert Kreischer, Teddy Swims, and Casey Neistat, his dream Great Wall of China 5K, and why the biggest what-if of his life was simply pressing record.Tap into the Jacob Cohen Special. Borderline is looking like the next big thing. The Kiwi pop band was formed in Auckland, and is made up of childhood friends Ben Glanfield, Jackson Boswell, Matthew McFadden, and Max Harries. Momentum has been building since the released of their debut single, ‘Spinning', in 2023, but the pace has really picked up in the last year or so. Last year saw them become the first Kiwi act to sign with global powerhouse Empire, tour in North America, and open for Teddy Swims, and then this year they took home the People's Choice Award at the Aotearoa Music Awards. And now they're set to drop their debut album, the self-titled ‘Borderline'. “We've always set out to be good,” Boswell, the drummer and backing vocalist for the band, told Mike Hosking. “We always kind of wanted to do this as our career and for the rest of our lives and to be the biggest band in the world, and we've kind of just been working towards that every day.” “I think there was no other option for us. Whatever we ended up doing when we grew up ... it was going to be around music,” Glanfield, the lead singer and guitarist, told Hosking. “We put all our eggs in one basket because it's the only basket we wanted the eggs in.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Episode 145 — The Jealous Man Cast — brings Jay R into the Jungle for an episode full of tension, jokes, side-eyes, and uncomfortable honesty. From the second the conversation starts, the energy feels competitive in the funniest way possible, as the crew dives into jealousy, attraction, insecurity, and the tiny things people do in relationships that somehow turn into full-blown arguments. It's one of those episodes where everybody laughs… but everybody also accidentally tells on themselves. The music segment opens on a smoother note. Jessie Reyez's “NYFF” sets the tone with raw emotion and vulnerability, leading into conversation about toxic attachment, heartbreak, and why pain still creates some of the best music. 6LACK and 2 Chainz connect on “Sunday Again,” blending introspection with flexes in a way that sparks discussion about balance — emotional depth versus surface-level success. Tyla and Zara Larsson's “She Did It” keeps the energy confident and playful, while Teddy Swims' “Mr. Know It All” closes the segment with soul, reflection, and a reminder that some artists hit hardest when they stop trying to sound perfect. Then the Jungle pivots into the chaos of the culture. Ice Spice allegedly getting beat up at McDonald's becomes less about gossip and more about celebrity vulnerability in public spaces — how fame changes the way people approach you, test you, or even try to embarrass you. The conversation then turns serious as David being officially charged gets discussed, leading into debate about public opinion, accountability, and how quickly narratives form online before all the facts settle. But the real heart of Episode 145 is the relationship segment, where the title The Jealous Man Cast starts making a little too much sense. The squad debates whether it's more toxic for couples to never argue and silently bottle everything up, or to constantly fight over every little thing. From there, the conversation somehow gets hilariously serious over streaming accounts — should couples merge subscriptions as a symbol of unity, or keep everything separate just in case things go left? Then comes the classic dilemma: would you rather have a partner who's unattractive but completely loyal, or someone incredibly attractive who constantly makes you nervous? And naturally, the room explodes once the question gets asked: if your partner laughs a little too hard at somebody else's joke… is that harmless, or low-level flirting? To close things out, the spotlight turns inward as everyone debates the most important question of the night: between Rahh and Rad… who's actually the more jealous type? Episode 145 is funny, chaotic, self-exposing, and painfully relatable — the kind of episode where everyone acts like they're joking until the truth accidentally slips out. Jess, Britt, and Dave unpack everything from Home Depot runs and closet “re-jiggers” to the internet's growing backlash against tech wealth, AI, and Silicon Valley culture. The squad debates whether the Met Gala became a symbol of “techlash,” how layoffs and AI anxiety are reshaping public sentiment, and whether AI will actually democratize opportunity or simply concentrate power faster. They also dive into the wild new AI alliances between Anthropic, Elon, and hyperscalers, the latest OpenAI vs Elon trial drama, and why product adoption, not regulation, will decide the future of AI. Plus, Dave shares major OpenClaw updates, real-world AI workflow automations, Meta fork rumors, and the surprisingly relatable use case of turning meeting transcripts into family “receipt printer” briefings. Roth opens up about their creative connection, describing it as a “wabi-sabi disposition,” and shares his thoughts on how rock & roll culture continues to evolve. We also talk about Roth's reflections on the changing music landscape, the crossover of rock into festivals like Stagecoach, and why “Jump” remains such a powerful anthem decades later. #VanHalen #DavidLeeRoth #TeddySwims #Stagecoach

Adam and Dan had a wild week before even hitting record — Dan's daughter came down with the flu days before her Peter Pan debut, his wife's boss unexpectedly passed away, and Adam's wife Amber is off in York, UK with a coworker who's never left the country. The Dogwood Festival happened, and it was a lot. It was supposed to be a sentimental final show with their drummer Nathan, but the chaos of a 30-minute festival turnover kind of took over. Shoutout to their production coordinator Christian who absolutely crushed the changeover. They played "Satisfied" by Richard Marx live for the first time ever, Adam debuted his new Vibrant guitar (floating bridge jury still out), and Amber had an absolutely legendary wipeout on stage during "Hungry Like the Wolf" — landed it so cleanly people thought it was choreographed. She's fine. The video is on the Patreon.Big Coachella chat this week. Three performances stood out: Sabrina Carpenter's headlining set was a full-on spectacle — cameos, costume changes, Will Ferrell as a grumpy stagehand — just a genuinely fun, high-effort show. Teddy Swims stole the weekend by bringing out Joe Jonas, Vanessa Carlton, and David Lee Roth for a set that was basically engineered for virality, and it worked. And then there's Justin Bieber, who showed up, sat in a hoodie, pulled up YouTube, and sang karaoke to his own videos while people lost their minds about it — in both directions.Next week: Adam went down a Claude AI rabbit hole trying to program his stage lights and the story wasn't even finished when they hit record. Stay tuned. Also — the show just hit 8,000 YouTube subs!

Rock history met the desert today at Coachella 2026 when David Lee Roth made a surprise appearance during Teddy Swims' set. Roth hit the stage for a high-energy performance of Jump, sending the crowd into a frenzy as one of Van Halen's biggest anthems echoed across the festival grounds. The appearance was part of a stacked set that featured multiple surprise guests, but Roth's return to a major live stage—bringing that classic swagger and charisma—was a standout moment and a huge nod to Van Halen's lasting impact on rock and pop culture. #VanHalen #DavidLeeRoth #Coachella #teddyswims
