Hello and welcome to episode 00026 of the Ten Thousand Heroes Podcast. I'm Ankur Shah Delight and today's interview is with Harrison Gardner. Every episode, like every listener, is special. A unique creation. A beautiful experience. And by the end of every interview, I usually feel a deep connection, a friendship, a witnessing of my guest. But this one is a little different. Harry and I have been friends for almost 15 years – though it often feels much longer – and he has been a role model to me at every point in that journey. At this point he's gained prominence for being a Builder and a Building Educator, having founded a Building School in the West of Ireland. He's got a book coming out on building and is finishing up filming a TV show for Irish television. But I think, for the first interview with Harry – there have to me more – I just wanted to focus on some of the earlier bits of his transformation and his travels. We can always get to the building later. I knew you would love it either way. So, Thanks again for listening to today's show. Stay tuned after the interview for the debrief with my co-host Nathan Ramos. And remember to email us at info@10kh.show or follow us on twitter at @10khshow! Hello and welcome to episode 00024 of the Ten Thousand Heroes Podcast. I'm Ankur Shah Delight and today's interview is with Kern Beare I met Kern Beare in the summer of 2020 after seeing a talk posted on the Awakin list. I was immediately impressed by his project – a drive across the country talking to people of radically different political perspectives and ideologies, searching for the seeds of common understanding. It's my kind of dream project, like Michael Ferranti going to Iraq with a guitar. The potential for human creativity and curiosity to overcome the spectacle of division. In today's episode, I catch up with Kern on how that journey went, where it has taken him, what he thinks can save America from discord, and more. Thanks again for listening to today's show. Stay tuned after the interview for the debrief with my co-host Nathan Ramos. And remember to email us at info@10kh.show or follow us on twitter at 10khshow!
Hello and welcome to episode 00023 of the Ten Thousand Heroes Podcast. Today's interview is with Manchan Magan Manchán Magan describes himself as a writer and documentary-maker. He has written books on his travels in Africa, India and South America and two novels. He has made dozens of documentaries on issues of world culture for TG4, RTÉ & Travel Channel. He lives in an oak wood, with bees and hens, in a grass-roofed house near Lough Lene, Co Westmeath. He is also a mystical woodland creature, and that should not be forgotten nor overlooked. It comes out quite early in the interview, in fact. I talked with Manchan about balancing the desires for mystical and freedom with the rigors of rationality and materialism. There is some Irish history and vocabulary thrown into, with poetry seeping out of the cracks. I had an exhilarating time and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks again for listening to today's show. Stay tuned after the interview for the debrief with my co-host Nathan Ramos. Hello and welcome to episode 00022 of the Ten Thousand Heroes Podcast. I recorded today's interview with Robert MacNaughton. Robert MacNaughton is an executive coach and facilitator who specializes in balancing interpersonal development alongside individual performance. Robert founded the Integral Center in Boulder, Colorado in association with renowned philosopher Ken Wilber, which hosted an international community of thought leaders, practitioners, and "evolutionaries." He now hosts a podcast and works as an executive coach, supports leaders in resolving the gaps between their vision, roadmap, team alignment, and sustainable execution. I got Robert to give me a watered-down digestible overview of integral philosophy, complete with a simple color coding system, and then to present some of the best and worst features of each level of development. The invitation to the listener is not to try to categroize yourself or the people you dislike, but rather to widen your perspective to the point where you realize every perspective has beauties and flaws, or, as Robert's own podcast is called, “disasters and dignities”. What are the negative consequences of my own worldview? How can I address them by integrating aspects of worldviews that I have heretofore despised. That's the point, as far as I'm concerned… Thanks again for listening to today's show. Stay tuned after the interview for the debrief with my co-host Nathan Ramos. And remember to email us at info@10kh.show or follow us on twitter at @10khshow.
