Munaf Manji and Griffin Warner talk MLB betting for Friday and this weekend. The guys cover the entire card and give out best bets. The MLB Friday betting podcast hosted by Manaf Manji and Griffin Warner covered an extensive analysis of all 16 matchups. Manaf opened by highlighting the full Friday slate, including a doubleheader between the Orioles and Red Sox. Griffin immediately addressed frustrations with umpiring and pitch clock enforcement, using Yoán Moncada's controversial strikeout as an example. For Game 1 of the doubleheader, Povich (Orioles) and Baio (Red Sox) were both criticized, with both hosts favoring the over due to poor pitching. Povich's 5.28 ERA vs. Boston and Baio's recent seven-run outing made betting the over a logical play. In Cubs vs. Reds, Griffin noted Hunter Greene's return from injury as a risk, while Manaf praised Boyd's consistency and strikeouts, leaning toward the Cubs. Brewers vs. Pirates saw Freddie Peralta favored despite Pittsburgh's Paul Skenes' talent, due to a lack of run support. Both suggested under 7 as a good play. For Giants vs. Nationals, McKenzie Gore's strikeout success and the Giants' bullpen issues led to a lean toward the Nationals, especially in the first five innings. Blue Jays vs. Rays featured skepticism toward both bullpens. Despite Rasmussen's 3.00 ERA vs. Toronto, his 1-4 record and poor run support made the Jays an attractive underdog. Dodgers vs. Mets focused on Clayton Kershaw's weak return and Canning's strong 5-1 record with a 2.47 ERA. The Mets, 8-1 in Canning's starts, were backed heavily. In Guardians vs. Tigers, Jackson Jobe's 4-0 record and Detroit's 8-0 team mark in his starts made them the clear pick. Pablo Lopez vs. Royals saw under 7.5 suggested, with Lopez's home starts hitting the over but mainly due to weak opponents. In Braves vs. Padres, Chris Sale's 15-2 home mark with Atlanta was compelling, but concerns over the Padres' offensive slump and pitching made Griffin hesitant. The Rangers, with a 35-15-1 under record and the worst AL offense, were labeled an overvalued -180 favorite vs. the White Sox. Burke's wildness (13 walks in 3 starts) and Texas' high swing rate set up a potential upset. Mariners vs. Astros examined Emerson Hancock's inconsistency and the Astros' injury woes. Both leaned Mariners at plus money. Phillies vs. A's spotlighted Sacramento's hitter-friendly park. Despite Wheeler's average road form, Philadelphia's offense was favored to overwhelm. Yankees vs. Rockies centered on the 12.5 total at Coors, suggesting Yankees' team total overs. Marlins vs. Angels featured heavy criticism of Sandy Alcantara's 7.99 ERA. Kikuchi, despite inconsistencies, was backed due to the Angels' offensive momentum. Cardinals were recommended over Arizona due to Gallen's 5.14 ERA and recent struggles, while Mikolas had been reliable. For best bets, Griffin took the Angels at -143, fading Alcantara. Manaf backed the Mets over Kershaw, citing Canning's stellar form and New York's offensive edge. They concluded with a promo for Griffin's picks and encouraged listeners to take advantage of the B.A.T.20 discount at pregame.com. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Rob and Jeremy took some time from Tuesday's BBMS to recap Cade Povich's start against the Red Sox. The young lefty didn't get the win against Boston but he did strike out eight in four-and-a-third. Should we be happy with what we got from Povich? Do you think he could use Monday's performance as a stepping stone to better things?
Host of the Ryan Ripken Show and former MiLB player Ryan Ripken joins the show to talk about the excitement for the Orioles home opener.
Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles MLB Pick Prediction by Tony T. Red Sox at Orioles 2:30PM ET—Sean Newcomb to start for Boston. Newcomb worked in seven games in 2024 with an ERA of 6.30 and WHIP of 1.70. The lefthander fanned 15.6% with 17.8% walks. Ground balls dealt at 50% with 1.80 home runs per nine innings. Cade Povich is the starter for Baltimore. Povich made 16 starts last season carrying an ERA of 5.20 with WHIP of 1.43. The lefty struck out 19.6% with 9.7% walks. Ground balls sat at 35.2% with 1.36 home runs per nine innings.
Is Cade Povich in position to hold down a spot in the Orioles rotation all season? Ryan Ripken breaks down what he's seen from the young starter since his debut last summer.
Cade Povich spent a good amount of time in the majors last summer but didn't really put it all together until September. Can he pick up where he left off now that he's a part of the starting rotation again?
Cade Povich earned his way into the Orioles rotation on the shoulders of a strong spring training. He will be rewarded with the opportunity to start the O's home opener on Monday. Steve Melewski joined Vinny & Haynie to talks about Povich's potential and other opening day storylines.
The Orioles will be finalizing their opening day roster within the coming days. Will Cade Povich get the nod as the 5th starter or will they have him begin the season in AAA? Jacob Calvin Meyer shared his thoughts with Cordell and Vinny.
Cade Povich and Albert Suarez are next in line to fill a spot in the Orioles rotation now that Grayson Rodriguez is starting the season on the IL. Tim Barbalace and Vinny Cerrato explain why Povich is the better fit for that role right now.
Jeremy and special guest Bruce Cunningham took some time from the second hour of Tuesday's BBMS to discuss the Orioles starting rotation and what's next with Grayson Rodriguez on the mend. Second-year starter Cade Povich has really shined in Spring Training and with Grayson down, is it Cade's time to shine?
Rob and Jeremy took some time from the opening hour of Friday's BBMS to discuss the possibility of Cade Povich stepping into Grayson's starting role. Povich has shown a lot of promise this Spring but could he be a burgeoning ace?
In the final hour of Inside Access, the guys discuss who would fill Grayson Rodríguezes role if he has to miss time. They also talk about what the Ravens will do at edge rusher and are joined by Chris Knoche.

Are you moving them up in your draft rankings?3.The Pirates signed a player! Mitch Keller signed a 5-year, $77 million contract this week. Any early thoughts on who the Mets will turn to?7.Aaron Judge this week said that his injured toe will require “constant maintenance” for the REST OF HIS CAREER! What? Do you downshift at all on him at the draft table? What about in Dynasty Leagues?a.Speaking of the Yankees…did you see Giancarlos Stanton? He looks like he lost 40 pounds. Segment 2 – Pitcher Sleepers. We will start to lay out our sleeper for the year. Please come up with five guys. My guys are below with a few extras.1.Pablo Lopez (Min, 37.6) – Ace-level quality that you can get in the third round2.Shane Bieber (Cle, 140.59) – His velo has taken a tick up this season, and that has been a problem for him over the past couple of years. I'll take a gamble in the 9th round.3.Nestor Cortes (NYY, 238.31) – Cortes' data looks great and if he can stay healthy, he's a steal in 15 to 16th round.4.Casey Mize (Det, 415) – If he's healthy, there are some pitch changes he's made that should play well.5.Christian Scott (NYM, 644) – With the injury to Senga, I like the setup for Scott this season.6.Nick Nastrini (CHW, 665) – Four pitches, fastball up to 96. He's a bit of a fly-ball hitter, and that could be problematic in Chicago, but overall, there is a #3 starter upside.7.Cade Povich (Bal, 809) – The Orioles will need pitching help this season and I believe Povich could help. It's a 94 to 95 MPH fastball with a high spin from the left side. He just needs to throw more strikes.Close
