I have been mired today, trying to compress a fantastic two-hour conversation with a US Presidential Candidate. I kid you not. He is very funny and may even get a few votes come November. Having run out of time, I am sharing this show with Adam Duran. I mention Focus coaching and tools to get you moving on the show. The link to focus Coaching is here. Do book a free call; it will move you forward. https://lifepassionandbusiness.com/focus-coaching/ Adam Duran : Are You On Purpose Are you on purpose? Our story today is about finding a purpose and living it because sailing the waves of life without direction or a rudder is an arduous journey. My guest with me today is Adam Duran. He was the youngest sibling in his family and always felt like an underachiever. That failure pattern was repeated at and on into high school, where trouble became his middle name. He left without graduation, and his life was on the road to nowhere. As always, with these stories, the universe offers a hand. During his high school years, Adam's father rediscovered his faith and encouraged the family to attend church. So at 18 and out of school without graduation and life looking so bleak, somehow church called him. That right, this tearaway lad was called to theological college, and he had a plan, and it was ministry. It is fair to say that plan that did run straight, but it was an adventure. Adam built a life that his 15-year-old self never thought was possible. While at college, he met a girl, and they had a child. He got a job in law enforcement as she became a drug addict. Yes, it has all of the twists and turns of a good TV drama. Living Life On Purpose Our conversation is lively and passionate about how his faith was tested and how he came through the tough times. It is also about living with meaning and purpose and getting what you want. For Adam, it was always about being on purpose and focused. With hindsight, he can understand why his original plan for ministry became a 30-year career in law enforcement career. Because it was where he could be the most effective minister. It was about supporting those whose lives had begun like his but did not have the breaks that he had. Adam is now retired from law enforcement, and he has moved into his second career as an Author, writer and speaker. He has taken his skills from ministry, law enforcement and fitness and written a book called “Live Life On Purpose.” Further details about this podcast along with my Guest's website and social links are all available at: https://www.lifepassionandbusiness.com/adam-duran-on-purpose Life Passion & Business is dedicated to exploring what it takes to be Extraordinary, to face challenges and rejoice in the opportunities they bring, and expand our vision into new ways of thinking and living. I have a fun episode to share with you today, and it's a little different than normal! I was a guest on my friend Sarah Zastrow's podcast, Throwing Wrenches Mending Fences, and it was a really powerful conversation that left me feeling so uplifted when I was done. I decided to share that interview with you this week, so you'll still get to hear from me, but also, you'll get to meet and learn from Sarah too (spoiler-she's amazing)! In this episode, we cover: My story of stepping into the farm/rural life + my discovery of the world of personal development, and all that has evolved since then How the pandemic was like an awakening for so many people, and really challenged us to take a closer look at our lives Finding joy, intentionality, and purpose in whatever season of life you're in + still pursuing your unique goals and dreams Taking time to be reflective and ask yourself the hard questions, even when it's uncomfortable Learning to operate from a place of peace and contentment instead of constant stress and chaos Finding balance in the day-to-day life (and why this doesn't mean everything is getting equal parts of your energy and focus) Why workaholism shouldn't be celebrated in agriculture + why it's SO necessary for farming families to set boundaries when it comes to work and family Bringing together the personal growth + business development for yourself with your farm, instead of keeping them totally separate Resources & Links: Download the Farm Stress Bundle The Gap and the Gain by Dan Sullivan & Dr. Benjamin Hardy [affiliate link] Learn more about ASCEND retreats and get on my email list to get all the updates! Today's Power Word, II Timothy 1:6-7, declares: "Therefore, I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you by laying on my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind." Instead, it involves aligning our thoughts, beliefs, and actions with our aspirations and objectives and harnessing the universe's power to realize those desires and goals. To manifest our greatness, we must first recognize and acknowledge the gifts and talents we have been given. We have unique gifts and talents; cultivating and developing them is up to us. But often, we allow fear, doubt, and insecurity to hold us back. We worry about what others think or feel we need to be better and worthy enough to pursue our dreams. This is where the power of manifestation comes in. When we align our thoughts and beliefs with our desires, we tap into the power of the universe to bring those desires into reality. So it is not just about positive thinking; it is about shifting our energy and vibration to match the energy and vibration of what we want to manifest. Moreover, that is where II Timothy 1:6-7 comes in. When we fan into flame the gift of God within us, we tap into the power of the universe and the Spirit of God to give us the courage, strength, and self-discipline to pursue our dreams and manifest our greatness. So how can we apply this verse and the power of manifestation in our daily lives? Here are a few practical tips: It is crucial to acknowledge and celebrate our unique talents and passions. Jot down a list of your strengths and hobbies with confidence and pride. Choose specific aspirations and objectives to manifest in your life. Then, write them down and visualize them as already accomplished. Embrace positivity and a can-do attitude. Instead of dwelling on negative news, please focus on the great things in your life and be grateful for them. Take action towards achieving your goals. Please do not wait for opportunities; proactively take steps to make them happen. Do not stress over the details; take that first step. Surround yourself with positivity and supportive individuals who believe in you and your dreams and confidently pursue your goals. We appreciate your presence today and are excited to have you join us for our next episode. If you enjoyed our show, please show your support by liking, sharing, following, and commenting. Thank you! How can we develop the toughness needed to weather life's storms? Here are three actionable steps you can take today: 1. Cultivate resilience: Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity, a skill that we are confident everyone can develop. One way to build resilience is by practicing gratitude. Take time each day to reflect on your gratitude, even during tough times. Gratitude can help shift your focus from what you do not have to what you do have and remind you that you have the strength to endure. 2. Resilience in formulating a growth mindset: Having a growth mindset leads to a strong belief that we can learn and grow from our challenging experiences. Instead of seeing setbacks as failures, see them as opportunities for growth and learning. Ask yourself, "What can I learn from this experience?" and "How can I use this knowledge to move forward?" 3. Keep moving forward: Giving up or wallowing in self-pity can be tempting when facing challenges. However, you will need more than that to grow or develop resilience. So instead, focus on taking small steps forward, even if they are baby steps. Keep your eyes fixed on your goals and keep moving toward your dreams. Furthermore, for additional motivation, here is your power word that speaks to the theme of toughness during tough times: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." - James 1:2-3 Remember, tough times do not last, but tough people do. YOU ARE A MIRACLE! LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE.
Did you know that not everyone gets to even pursue their purpose, let alone live out what they're most passionate about. Purpose is a privilege and there are dangers that come with not recognizing how that privilege influences the way you show up in the world. Doc and Coach dive deep into how Purpose is linked to their lives, accomplishments, failures, and even the premise of the show. It can feel like there is no end when we are going through a tough time. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and lost in the darkness, wondering if things will ever get better. However, this quote reminds us that hope is always on the horizon, no matter how bad things seem. So, how can we use this quote to improve our lives and find our way out of the darkness? Here are three actionable steps you can take today: Please focus on the positive: When tough, it can be easy to get bogged down in negative thoughts and feelings. However, it is essential to remember that something positive is always around, no matter how small. Take some time to focus on the good things in your life and express gratitude for them. It will help shift our mindset and bring more positivity into our life. Take action: Feeling stuck in a difficult time is easy. However, no matter how small, taking action can help us feel more empowered and in control. Identify one small step you can take today to move closer to your goals or improve your situation, and then take that step. It could be as simple as making a phone call or sending an email, but taking action can help build momentum and move you closer to the light. Reach out for support: When we struggle, isolating ourselves and handling things independently can be tempting. However, reaching out for support can be incredibly helpful. Whether talking to a friend or family member, joining a support group, or seeking professional help, resources are available to help you through the tough times. Feel free to ask for help when you need it. By focusing on the positive, taking action, and reaching out for support, you can find your way through the darkness and emerge more robust and resilient on the other side. YOU ARE A MIRACLE! LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE.
Let us start with our power word designed to inspire today's episode. Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law." Today's power word reminds us of the nine qualities that produce excellence when connected to God's Spirit. One of the paramount qualities of the fruit of the Spirit is Love. Love is the foundation of all the other qualities and motivates us to live a life of purpose. When we have Love in our hearts, we can show kindness, patience, and gentleness to others. We can also forgive and show grace, even when it is complex. John Maxwell would like to introduce us to today's powerful mind-reset quote on this topic. He once said, "Love is not a feeling of happiness. Love is a willingness to sacrifice." it is a wonder that reminds us that Love is not just an emotion but a choice. It is It is about putting the needs of others before our own and sacrificing for their well-being. So, how do we cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives? Here are three call-action steps to help us remain connected to a good source. Step 1: The first step is to connect with God's Spirit. This can be done through prayer, meditation, Bible reading, or joining a community church or whatever is your medium connection route to a higher power. Each of these helps us to build a daily connection to God's Spirit, resulting in receiving the guidance and strength we need to live a life of Love and purpose. It also brings comfort in knowing that we are not alone and that God, who is more significant than all our difficulties, always has our back. Step 2: The second step is to practice the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives. Of course, let us be the first to confess how challenging it is to implement this in our daily life by showing others Love, kindness, patience, and gentleness. So, what exactly is our higher self? We believe it is the part of us connected to something greater than ourselves. The voice inside us always knows what is best for us, even when we might not realize it. As individuals, we often feel like we are being pulled in many different directions and with work demands, balancing schoolwork, extracurricular activities, social lives, and everything else. As a result, it can be tough to know what we truly want or the best course of action when facing a big decision. That is where our higher selves come in. By tapping into that inner wisdom, we can make choices that align with our values and desires instead of just following everyone else. So, how can we start to connect with our higher selves? First, there is a vast amount of information and expert advice available. However, with thorough research from our team, we were able to simplify the process towards the transformation of one's highest version of ourselves. So, here are our three simple but effective call-to-action steps. First, take some time to be still and quiet. Turn off your phone, find a soft spot, and sit with yourself. Listen to the thoughts and feelings that come up without judgment or criticism. This process breathes enlightenment and self-awareness for a more productive understanding of yourself. Next, start paying attention to your intuition. That little voice inside your head tells you when something does not feel right or when you should take a specific action. Trust that voice, even if it goes against what others tell you. Think of your intuition as your guarding angel that seeks to guide you toward greatness; finally, practice self-care. Take care of your physical, mental, and emotional health by getting enough sleep, eating well, exercising, and doing things that bring you joy. Feeling good makes us more likely to be in tune with our higher selves. Let us embrace the journey towards a productive and elevated life this season by connecting with our higher selves and viewing ourselves from the lens of an influential individual who is not afraid of failure or challenges. Let us set the expectation that this is the year when we figure out who we are and what we want from life. Then, connecting with that inner wisdom allows us to make choices that set us on a fulfilling and happy future. Of course, connecting with our higher selves is not always easy. We might feel like we do not have time or that it is too hard to hear that inner voice. However, we promise you; it is worth it. The more we practice, the easier it becomes. So, be patient with yourself and take some time today to connect with your higher self. Sit in silence, listen to your intuition, and practice self-care. You'll be amazed at the wisdom that comes through. YOU ARE A MIRACLE! LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE.
How to Take Control of Your Life? Let us start by defining what self-mastery is. Self-mastery is the ability to control your thoughts, emotions, and actions to achieve your goals and live a fulfilling life. It is about taking responsibility for your life and making intentional choices that align with your values and goals. Our power word speaks to the importance of self-mastery is found in Proverbs 25:28, which says, "Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control." This verse reminds us that without self-control and self-mastery, we are vulnerable to the negative influences of the world around us. Here's a powerful Mind reset quote from John Maxwell that will contribute to today's show. He once said, "The greatest challenge in life is not facing obstacles but mastering oneself." John Maxwell believes that the most significant challenge in life is not external obstacles but rather the ability to overcome personal limitations and weaknesses through self-mastery. Individuals who control their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are more likely to succeed and overcome challenges. This requires constant effort, self-reflection, and a willingness to confront and improve one's flaws. Self-improvement and personal growth are crucial for success in life, and mastering oneself is a fundamental skill that can benefit individuals in all areas of their lives. So, how do we cultivate self-mastery in our daily lives? Here are 2 Call to action steps Step 1: Practice Mindfulness Mindfulness means being present in the moment and aware of your thoughts, emotions, and surroundings. By practicing mindfulness, you will better make choices that align with your goals and values. Try taking a few minutes each day to meditate or practice deep breathing. This will help you cultivate a sense of mindfulness and make more intentional choices. Step 2: let us start with setting daily intentions. Start your day by taking a few minutes to think about your goals and values. What do you want to accomplish today? Again, How do you want to show up in the world? Setting intentions will help you stay focused and aligned with your daily goals. Setting your intentions is a powerful practice that can help you stay focused on your goals and values throughout the day. You are setting yourself up for success by taking a few minutes each morning to reflect on what you want to accomplish and how to dominate each challenge towards your desired goal. By setting intentions, you are creating a roadmap for your day. In addition, you are giving yourself a clear sense of direction and purpose which helps you to prioritize your time and energy better. Remember, every action you take gets you closer to your goals. By practicing mindfulness, setting intentions, and taking action toward your goals, you can set yourself up for success. Let us start by acknowledging the dangers of staying in our comfort zone. When we stay in our comfort zone, we limit our potential for growth and success. We may feel safe and secure but are not pushing ourselves to reach new heights. Recognizing that progress and success often require stepping outside our comfort zone and taking risks is essential. One power word is from Joshua. Joshua 1:9, to be exact, says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." This verse reminds us that we are not alone in our journey toward progress and success. We can overcome our fears and achieve our goals with strength and courage. Myles Monroe would also like to share a powerful mind-reset encouragement on this topic. He said, "The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without purpose." This quote emphasizes the importance of having a sense of purpose and taking action toward our goals, even if it means stepping outside our comfort zone. So, how do we break free from our comfort zone and progress toward our goals and dreams? Here are three Call-To-Action Steps: Step 1: Embrace discomfort The first step is to embrace discomfort. Recognize that growth and progress often require pain and taking risks. You can push past your limitations and reach new heights by embracing pain. Step 2: Set goals The second step is to set goals. Staying in our comfort zone is accessible without a clear sense of direction. By setting goals, you can give yourself a sense of purpose and direction towards which to strive. Step 3: Take action The third step is to take action. It is not enough to set goals; you must also take action toward achieving them. This may mean taking small steps toward your daily goals, taking a giant leap of faith, and stepping outside your comfort zone. Progress and success require stepping outside your comfort zone and taking risks. By embracing discomfort, setting goals, and taking action, you can break free from the enemy of progress and achieve your full potential. YOU ARE A MIRACLE. LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE!

Step up and become active in shaping your reality or become satisfied with being a passive observer of your life. THE CHOICE IS YOURS. The Power of Being a Thermostat, Not a Thermometer." We will be discussing the difference between being a thermometer that merely reacts to our environment and being a thermostat that has the power to control our settings. We will share a powerful quote from Tony Robbins and Napoleon Hill and three easy-to-follow steps to help you become a thermostat in your own life. Thinking of ourselves as a thermostat rather than a thermometer can profoundly impact our lives. Remember that a thermometer reacts to the environment around it, while a thermostat has the power to control and influence its environment. When we adopt a thermostat mindset, we can take control of our thoughts, emotions, and actions and create the life we want. By choosing a positive attitude, taking intentional steps toward our goals, and setting boundaries with people and situations that do not align with our values, we can become a powerful force for positive change in our lives. This shift in mindset can lead to tremendous success, happiness, and fulfillment in all areas of our lives. So, let us embrace the power of being a thermostat and take control of our lives. Let us start with two mind-reset quotes, one from Tony Robbins and the other from Neoploean Hill. Our first quote is from Tony Robbins: "In life, you need either inspiration or desperation." This quote is from Tony Robbins and speaks to our mindset's power. When we are inspired, we can take control of our environment and create the life we want. However, when desperate, we merely react to our environment and are not in control. So, how do we become a thermostat in our own lives? Here are three easy-to-follow Call to action steps: Step 1: Choose your mindset The first step is to choose your mindset. We can choose to have a positive or negative attitude, which has a powerful impact on our environment. By choosing a positive mindset, we can create a positive environment for ourselves and those around us. Step 2: Take action The second step is to take action. As a thermostat, we can influence and control our environment. This means acting intentionally towards our goals and dreams rather than merely reacting to our surroundings. Step 3: Set boundaries The third step is to set boundaries. As a thermostat, we can control who and what we allow into our environment. This means setting boundaries with people and situations unaligned with our goals and values. You have a choice today, to be the one who reacts to the situation with no control over your emotions or become a thermostat in your own life. Remember, we can control our environment and create the life we want. By choosing your mindset, taking action, and setting boundaries, you can become a powerful force for positive change in your life. YOU ARE A MIRACLE! LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE.
Our thoughts have a powerful impact on our emotions, behaviors, and, ultimately, our lives. Positive thinking can increase motivation, better relationships, and greater well-being. However, just like any muscle in our body, positive thinking requires consistent practice and exercise to become stronger. Therefore, despite challenges and setbacks, we must consciously focus on positive thoughts daily. Doing so can train our minds to automatically think positively, leading to a more fulfilling and successful life. So, let us view our positive thoughts as a muscle that needs to be developed and strengthened daily through intentional focus and practice. Let us start with our mind-reset quotes from Tony Robbins: "The power of positive thinking is the ability to generate a feeling of certainty in yourself when nothing in the environment supports you." This quote speaks to the power of our thoughts and how they can shape our reality. When we think positively and generate a feeling of certainty, we are more likely to take action toward our goals and achieve success. However, what if our past is holding us back? Here is our second quote from Tony Robbins applies here: "Your past does not equal your future." This reminds us that no matter what has happened in our past, we can create a new future for ourselves. We can let go of past limitations and beliefs that no longer serve us and create a new reality. So, how do we keep going when life throws us challenges and obstacles? First, let us introduce our power word for guidance. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me." This is a clear reminder that we are not alone and have the strength to overcome any challenge that comes our way through gods additional strength; by activating our faith and inner strength, we can push through even the toughest of times. Financial Freedom for Physicians with Dr. Christopher H. Loo, MD-PhD
Give a Heck Financial was founded by Dwight Heck, who started his career while living paycheck to paycheck as a single Dad of five children. Like many of us, Dwight didn't understand how money worked or the basics of budgeting. Money came in and immediately disappeared, followed by sleepless nights and stress filled with quiet desperation. Instead of asking for help, Dwight kept his financial troubles to himself to avoid embarrassment and judgment. Now Dwight helps educate people that life success is not just about having enough money, it is about learning what you truly want and taking ownership of where you're at. Ideas discussed in the episode: How budgeting helps people live life on purpose How to get off the hamster wheel of life and live on purpose not by accident How to have more money at the end of each month. Knowing your numbers to be a successful entrepreneur Why are associations so much more than just who you hang with? What are some of the key things to do to change one's state of mind? How to train yourself never to have a bad day and only bad moments in your day Difference between needs and wants. Why should people be open and honest with their kids about where they are at financially and not hide it like prior generations have?
