Mark 5:1-20 Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, The devil will bring storms to distract us, take our focus off God, rob us of our hope, trust and faith in god, to steal our dreams and ultimately to destroy God's plans for our life.God will use storms  to help us regain our focus on him, seek refuge under his protection, to remember that He alone is our strong tower and place of safety and prompts us to seek out His purpose and plans for our lifeSo some storms are satanic, others are self inflicted  due to poor choices, bad decisions & a lack of commitment to God's word and some storms are sent by God to bring about His plans and purposes but through it all, we are comforted to know That in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  Romans 8:28This leads us to the topic of Divine Providence which means, whatever the storm and whatever the reason for the storm, God will work it out on the other side to fulfill His purposes. Through Divine Providence God will see to it that absolutely everything that needs to be done to bring about His purposes and Sovereign Will, will be done!Support the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

Have you ever wondered about God's will for your life? Have you questioned whether you are truly following His path? If you have, you're not alone.Sometimes God's will can feel confusing, abstract, or mysterious, but Pastor Nick breaks down understanding God's will into two parts: The sovereign will of God and the revealed will of God. What is God's Sovereign Will? The word Sovereign = Having supreme power or authority. We believe God created the entire universe and set plans and laws of the universe into motion from the very beginning. The fact that our universe has laws and order are dictated by the one who created and is large and in charge of all things. Sovereign Will = God's secret plan which controls the outcome of all matters in the universe. What is God's Revealed will?  God also reveals Himself personally throughout history and has made known His will for humankind and for each of us known in specific, knowable ways.    Deuteronomy 29:29 – “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.” Ephesians 5:17 – “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.” How do we figure out God's Will? Through the Word of God Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” 2 Timothy 3:16 – “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Through the Spirit of God Psalm 143:10 – “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. John 16:13a – “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. Through the People of God Proverbs 12:15 – “The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.” Proverbs 19:20 – “Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life. The Will of God will never contradict the Word of God! What do we do once we know God's Will?  James 1:22 – “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” Acts 20:22-24 – “ And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace.” Acts 21:12-14 – “When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem. 13 Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” 14 When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, “The Lord's will be done.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Timothy 2:4 – “[God] desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”Don't forget to hit that SUBSCRIBE button to stay updated with our insightful content ⏩.LIKE ✔️, SHARE

Is what happens in life the result of chance & choice or design & destiny? Is it my will or God's will? Is eternal life about our will or God's will? These are some of the questions that our passage in Acts 13:46-48 addresses. This topic is troubling for many of us but Paul (who is speaking) and Luke (who is narrating) are not. For them: There's Our Free Will and there's God's Sovereign Will. Both are at work, all the time, in this life and the next.

Family Bible Church weekly message

* Over the past three weeks we have been seeing the impact that one individual can make when they are fully submitted to the Sovereign Will of God in their lives. Specifically, we have been witnessing the Impact of Daniel's God through Daniel's Life in the lives of pagan servants and their earthly king - Nebuchadnezzar. * Last week, as we considered Nebuchadnezzar's dream, we saw that God was revealing Himself to Nebuchadnezzar through this dream and the use of Daniel. * This was PHASE ONE in God's Operation Nebuchadnezzar! Nebuchadnezzar realized that the God of Daniel was greater than His gods. But, Nebuchadnezzar still had a long way to go. He still was dealing with the greatest of the rivals to YHWH - self. In Isaiah 14:3-23 we see a prophetic portion of Scripture regarding the King of Babylon being equated to Lucifer. In this passage, we see how self-pride is at the very core of our sinful desire to usurp the reign and authority of God. * Today, we witness PHASE TWO of Operation Nebuchadnezzar. It is critical to note the importance of the servants of God properly traversing the trials and tribulations of life, as a living witness of our faith in this One, True God. * This message was presented on January 23, 2022 by Bob Corbin.

Ephesians Part 9 "The Will's of God" Eph 1:1,5,9,11 Intro: God's 2 Wills All Things to the Counsel of His Will Human Double Will. Ice cream and salad God's Two Wills. Moral and Sovereign Confusion abounds when we only know of 1 Will of God. Suffering: Past answers, Current Comfort, Prep for the Future Murder, Rape,Thievery, Child abuse, Sexual assault, Poverty, Divorce, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Tornados, Disease, Despair, Hopelessness. It goes on and on. 1. God's Moral Will (Revealed) Gen 2:15-17 Exodus 20: The 10 Commandments Whole OT Narrative portray's Israel breaking God's moral will. Luke 7:30 "But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him." Luke 13:34 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often I would have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!" Worldview of the Person Who Only Knows of God's Moral Will Human will is the deciding factor in everything. God has so many desires for you and the world if only people would co-operate. From Salvation to blessings in life, it's up to you. God desires these things but end the end your salvation and blessing is up to you. Satan is truly free. He is the cause of all bad things in the world. God does not these bad things to happen but the Ruler of this world gets his way. God's favor upon you is as solid as your ability to keep His moral law. Nations are believed to be saved by God's moral law. Therefore Politics play a heavy role in your worldview. 2. Eph 1:11 God's Sovereign Will (Concealed) Natural/Weather: Ps. 135:6-7, Ps. 148:5-8, Amos 3:6, Is 45:4-7 Animals: Ps. 104:21, Matt. 6:26, 10:29 Humans: Gen. 45:7-8, Matthew 11:25, Rom 9:19-21. Satan: Job 1:6-12, Satan gets permission, 1 Sam. 16:14-23,18:10,19:9, 2 Cor. 12:7-8 Suffering: 1 Pet. 2:21, 3:17, 4:19, Phil 1:29, Exodus 4:11. All things. Is 46:8-11 Worldview of the Person Who Only Know's of God's Sovereign Will Human's choice is an illusion. Satan is rarely mentioned or talked about. God basically does good and evil and we are all just pons in His master plan. God's favor upon you gives you a pass to be a jerk or to be lazy in your pursuit of God. Prayers are only prayers of submission. Passionate pleas of prayer for deliverance, healing, or direction are shunned. John Piper: We need both God's Moral and Sovereign Will. The Cross of Christ is the Key Acts 2:22-23, Acts 4:27-28 The conviction and crucification or Christ was done by lawless men. This was the worst sin in the history of the world. He was innocent and righteous and God in the flesh. If God is big enough to be in charge of the worst sin ever committed and make it the most beautiful message in history then we can trust Him in our suffering knowing that He is in charge. 5 Comforts the Come From Holding Both Wills Together 1. We know by God's moral will that God hates and punishes evil. His wrath is building for all those who break His moral law. His sovereign so he has the ability to punish lawbreakers. 2. We can trust God's sovereign will even when his moral will is broken. God is ultimately in charge even of nations. Prov 21:1 "The king's heart is a steam of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it where ever he will." 3. God will grow me up. Spiritual Growth comes through adversity. David said "It was good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes." Ps. 119:71. And remember Paul's thorn brought humility. 4. We will experience God through suffering. Ransom in my lap Through our prayers and petitions we Get to sit in our Father's lap through pain. 5. Even though we break God's moral will daily, by His sovereign will the Word says "No one will snatch them from my Father's hand" Jn 10. Conclusion Romans 8:28 Eph 1:11
