Tonight we kick it off by talking about Canal Corridor 100 and our friend Stephanie Campbell's second place finish! Then we discuss the history of Indiana Trail 100 along with what a great community surrounds the race and go over the results from this year's event. We also go over results from Oil Creek 100, Kodiak 100, and the Heartland 100. Then we talk about Bryon Powell from iRunFar who just competed in and won the Ultra Trail Gobi 400K stage race in western China. In addition we discuss race results from Cape Fear 24 hour race where costume chic was out there representing. We dive into a new 50K in Cascade Locks, Oregon called Angel's Rest where they just had the inaugural running and now we both want to run it. Also, Free State Trail Run 40 miler was over the weekend and they had one finisher, spoiler alert she took first place overall. Nedd Brockman finished his 1,000 mile run in 12 and a half days. He didn't break the world record but he did raise at least 2.6 million dollars for homelessness in Australia. Pretty impressive accomplishment all around. There is a fundraiser being done in western NC at the Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival December 7th and as we talk about some of our favorite ultrarunners will be out there. Proceeds will go to residents and businesses whose homes were damaged or lost due to hurricane Helene. We end with a guy that did a run during hurricane Milton, basically running through the storm, there is always one! KiDsGyM USA focuses on gymnastics, but kids take away so much more than how to tumble. Even if students don't go on to compete in gymnastics, it teaches them the fundamentals of any sport, and they gain confidence and self-esteem along the way, Since 2004, KiDsGyM USA has been giving youth an inexpensive way to build skills necessary for school and life. And one part of that is taking “can't” out of their vocabulary. That attitude has served Stephanie Campbell, co-founder, CEO and Executive Director of the gym, well in the time she's been with Constant Contact. With Constant Contact's SMS capabilities, she reaches parents quickly in a way that won't get lost in the email shuffle. She's also found the generative AI functions helpful, fixing any verbiage that isn't quite sitting right. To further her communication efficiency, Stephanie uses segmentation and tags to divide her audience between parents and different donor types. On this episode of the Constant Contact podcast, Be a Marketer, Stephanie, host Dave Charest, Director of Small Business Success at Constant Contact, and Kelsi Carter, Brand Production Coordinator at Constant Contact, tumble through the ways KiDsGyM uses Constant Contact to get donations and inform its community.

This week on True Crime New England, Katie and Liz share the details of the troubling murder of mother-of-three Stephanie Campbell in Manchester, New Hampshire. On November 2nd of 2010, Stephanie got into an argument with an old friend and now potential lover of her ex-boyfriend, a 22-year-old girl named Molly Martel. Jealousy and potential exposure of a cheating scandal may have been what sent Molly over the edge, which resulted in her stabbing Stephanie fatally four times. After trial, with the gory details coming to light, Molly was sentenced to 20-40 years in jail. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/truecrimene/support

I’m very excited to be sharing the first episode of the spring season of Keeping Shop with you! Today I’m speaking with Stephanie Campbell of Blue Willow Boutique in Maryville, Missouri. When we connected, I knew nothing about Stephanie or her shop so I got to discover her story right along with my listeners. Stephanie tells us all about why she started her shop; it has to do with a big move for love, a community forced to find gifts at Walmart and the desire for real, honest community creation. Stephanie shares her tips for creating a trusting work environment and building a staff that will go to bat for you over and over again. She shares the way she makes sure she pays her bills, pays herself and makes sure she’s profitable so that she can do things like open a second store, which she just did a few months ago. A big thought-provoker that I took from this episode is the concept of giving clients what they want even when your concept would point you in another direction. Stephanie experienced this, and Meredith and I did too. For both of our businesses (and I’m sure so many others) within the first month our customers let us know, (loudly) what they wanted to see on our shelves. And we had a decision to make; would we continue stocking for the business that we envisioned, OR would we move in the direction our clients wanted us to take. For both of our shops, this switch up was successful, (Stephanie even says that it saved her business!) but there’s such emotional component of scrapping elements of your concept and starting to move in another direction. Stephanie shares what helped her through this decision and how it not only benefitted her shop financially but also served to build the type of community she longed for. There is so much value in this episode and I’m so excited to kick off this round of Keeping Shop with my chat with Stephanie. Enjoy.

Helen Callier is the Chair of the Government Procurement Connection, which will host the 20th annual conference on March 27 and 28 at the George R. Brown. A Brief History of GPC When the Economic Development and Monitoring Section of the Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance office was established, one of the first items on the agenda was to survey MWBE owners to determine their most critical areas of need. The top responses were access to contracting opportunity information, networking and contacts. What better way to meet these two objectives than to provide a forum where MWBEs can interface with contracting and procurement representatives from each City department in order to learn about their respective contracting opportunities? Thus, City Connections was born. The first event, held May 1996, was on a small scale, in the center ballroom of the George R. Brown Convention Center. At the following year's event, state agencies, banks and resource agencies, free workshops and seminars, and the Awards Luncheon were added.
Stephanie is a remarkable and interesting young author of fiction from Utah. I really enjoyed our conversation and wish her lots of success.
