Alyse came, she saw, she conquered our hearts with her love of Hallmark-style Christmas movies. Since she was the special guest for the main episode, She bowed out for the response edition. So, Thomas Howeth from the CritStorm podcast filled in after doing his due diligence on the topic. Did we fall under the spell of hot cocoa, chaste romance and predictability? Listen and find out! You know what they say: Generals have more fun! Thomas Howeth is back for another minute in which we transition away from the Swamp to Henry fishing to Hawkeye kissing a puppy before going into the Mess Tent. Along the way we are thoroughly confused about what Leslie's doing hanging out with Blake and we ponder the appropropriateness of showing When Willie Comes Marching Home to soldiers overseas.
After the cardiovascular surgeon provided cathartic relief in the last minute, Trapper John is about to face the consequences of punching Frank Burns. But what's Henry gonna do? Not wash any coffee mugs belonging to the Navy! Thomas Howeth of CritStormCast joins us and is subjected to discussion of urinalysis, Tierney's weird family stories, and Megan's concept of "instant relatives". But then we're all reunited in dunking on Natty Ice and how cute Trapper looks in his sleeping bag.
Capable demands that they stop and go back for Angharad, but Max saw her go under the wheels so Furiosa decides that they will keep going despite the weeping and wailing. Elsewhere, Immortan Joe holds Angharad’s limp body in his arms, blind with rage. A pair of War Boys arrive on a motorcycle and Joe orders them to continue the pursuit. Special Guests: Christy Porter from The Indiana Jones Minute and Thomas Howeth from CritStorm Cast
Rictus’ harpoon tears away the Rig’s steering wheel, pinning Max’s hand against the frame. Angharad and Capable cut Max loose, but the War Rig is heading for a rocky outcropping. Angharad leaps out of the way to safety, but as she climbs back to the cab she slips and falls away from the Rig, going under the wheels of Joe’s monster truck. Special Guests: Christy Porter from The Indiana Jones Minute and Thomas Howeth from CritStorm Cast
Joe anoints Nux with the Chrome spray and Rictus tosses him onto the tanker. But Nux’s glory is short lived as he falls from the walkway and Joe declares him mediocre. Joe leaves Nux behind and takes a daring leap off a natural ramp and attacks the War Rig from the left. Rictus mans his harpoon turret and fires it into the Rig. Find us at: iTunes Spotify Patreon This week, Thomas Howeth of Crit Storm Cast and Neverending Minute joins us for a very unexpectedly real Twilight episode. She’s been enjoying a little downtime after a really crazy few weeks of Princess duties, only for Spike to remind her just how horrible a friend she was in Canterlot before Celestia sent her on assignment to Ponyville. And when we say horrible, we really mean it - she can’t remember the name of a single friend she used to have. Or anything about the very important party she missed when she ditched her life to go on assignment for Princess Celestia. She’s in for a rude awakening, and we’re all here for it as we review “Amending Fences” on this week’s Macintosh & Maud! Check out our merchandise at our new Teepublic store! We've got lots of fun designs to choose from and more on the way! Macintosh & Maud have a Patreon! If you contribute $2.00 or more you can listen to our reviews of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks, along with other great content! You can email us with feedback at macintoshandmaud@gmail.com, or you can connect with us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Intro and outro music is "Madgapuff March (rmx) by JS Bach" by Lee Rosevere. Licensed under a CCO 1.0 Universal License. Today's episode opens with Reverend Johnson telling the congregation he is going to read from Matthew, Mark, Luke and...Duck. He says this last big as a lit bundle of dynamite is thrown into the church through a window. The explosion is followed by a quick fade to black. We then fade in to the door of the Governor William J. Lepetomane after some discussion about what life in a nursing home might be like. Inside the meeting room, politicians are gathered, including the GOV and his scantily clad red-headed secretary. Hedley Lamarr is standing next to the Governor and helps bring the meeting to order. The first order of business they discuss is the purchase of 200,000 acres of land from local Indians. When Lepetomane asks the cost, Lamarr simply says a box full of paddle-ball toys. The Governor first thinks they will not go for it, then again they might. He says the little red devils love their toys. We continue with the townspeople holding an open meeting in the midst of their church service. After Olson Johnson finishes his monologue we hear from several other Johnsons. For those who missed it earlier, apparently everyone in the town in a Johnson. Howard Johnson says he is not about to give up the ice cream stand he built with his own two hands. Samuel Johnson, who looks like he is moonlighting from his role as Grandpa Joe, agrees with each of the Johnsons. Not to be out-done, Van Johnson, who is basically worthless, just repeats whatever he hears and throws out his agreement. Reverend Johnson is not fully on-board with staying, but points out if they do, they need a new sheriff. He asks for a volunteer. That's when Howard Johnson remarks they should wire the governor for a new sheriff. The townsfolk all agree and the episode ends as it appears Reverend Johnson is about to pray for the deliverance of their new sheriff. Thomas Howeth (Neverending Minute & CritStorm Cast) and Rick Ingham (Mad Max Minute) return to shed some light on the horrible idea of the ’98 Godzilla movie and why Independence Day was a hint of what was to come. Thomas Howeth (Neverending Minute & CritStorm Cast) and Rick Ingham (Mad Max Minute) stop by to talk about possible vulnerabilities in defenses both physical and emotional. Matthew remembers watching a movie that he does not remember at all. Thomas brings up a fear that hits hard and (somewhat irrationally) chills to the bone. We then discuss intergalactic turn-ons and turn-offs. All this and more in a strangely deep episode! Twitter: @id4minute Facebook: Independence Day Minute Listener's Squadron
