Tensions continue to soar in Westbury, Johannesburg as disgruntled residents take to the streets over water challenges. Dozens have taken to the streets burning tyres and barricading roads with with stones and bricks. Residents maintain this is a peaceful protest that is meant to raise awareness over their challenges. Although blockading roads, they are allowing access to those who seek medical assiatance at the Rahima Moosa mother and Child Hospital. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC reporter, Horisani Sithole

Alexander Nielsen möter i "Den stora podden" Ohuru Hallström. I över tre decennier har Ohuru varit en självklar del av Tyresö kommuns Kultur- och Fritidssektor. Genom sitt outtröttliga engagemang har han satt djupa avtryck hos generationer av ungdomar, och hans inflytande sträcker sig långt bortom kommunens verksamheter. Många av dagens föräldrar minns honom från sin egen ungdom, och deras barn får nu möta samma varma, trygga och inspirerande ledarskap. Ohuru är mer än en fritidsledare – han är en mentor, en förebild och en brobyggare.

Amir och Priscilla Askarzadeh är båda uppväxta i Tyresö och har bott länge på Farmarstigen och är nya grannar till programledaren Ann Sandin-Lindgren. De berättar om sina många intressen, musik, träning mm. även om det nu mest är deras tre små grabbar som står i Centrum med fotbollsträning. De tycker inte att det är några problem att komma från två helt olika världsdelar och Amir och hans familj lär barnen persiska och Priscillas familj pratar spanska med barnen så de blir flerspråkiga. De är glada att de har sina familjer nära och de hjälps åt.

Ann Sandin-Lindgren berättar om hur det var 1967 då de första fyra amerikanska Vietnam-desertörerna kom till Sverige och hamnade i Tyresö och en av dem, Rick Bailey, blev hennes fosterbror. Now that the C4 and DS4, built between 2010 and 2011, plus the DS5 built between 2010 and 2013 there is just a fraction under 10,000 additional vehicles. The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa, NUMSA has reached a settlement with Goodyear Tyres, bringing relief to over 900 workers affected by the closure of the Kariega plant in the Eastern Cape after 78 years of operation. Each employee will receive a lump sum severance package starting at approximately R100,000, along with additional non-financial benefits. Although Goodyear declined to keep the factory open, NUMSA, supported by the government, is actively seeking new investors to safeguard jobs and combat deindustrialisation. Kaipara motorists are demanding compensation after their car tyres were ripped up by razor sharp road metal. They said the metal was wrongly laid and has left them with big bills. Since fresh metal was laid on Arapaoa, Hamlin and Neems Road south of Dargaville last month a number of residents have had punctures, some suffering multiple flat tyres and wheel damage.
