The Uncut Podcast lads are joined by one of big carp fishing's most consistent anglers, Ian Bailey. Tom Dove, Damian Clarke and Adam Reed (No Spooner this week) know Ian's track record and have lots of questions. Despite him keeping a low profile, Bailey has quietly put together another incredible run of captures, including multiple UK 40s from a variety of waters. The conversation dives into the mindset that's made him such a consistent angler, why he avoids the noise around modern carp fishing, and the simple tactics he trusts everywhere he goes. There's also plenty of discussion around presentation, baiting accurately at range, plastic corn, choosing the right waters, and why location still outweighs everything else.

Send us Fan MailVideo Version HERE https://youtu.be/sb4GurkWFKoBrace yourself for a little discussed haunting that shook a local church, and became a teaching tool for priests. In 1965, the Acton Vale Poltergeist didn't just terrify a family, it forced three Catholic priests to admit they were witnessing something truly beyond explanation. They believed it was a demonic infestation. In this episode, we dive deep into the verified archives to uncover the aggressive and violent phenomena that targeted a young girl and the men of the cloth who stood their ground against it. Was it a haunting, or something DIABOLICAL? Note: This case features a Catholic/ Byzantine religion painting called #OurLadyofPerpetualHelp. The painting was said to be alive, which makes it so weird that I got comments saying that today (the day this came out, June 27th) is the feast day for this very painting. That was totally not planned. Of all the days. Isn't that a little eerie? In this video, we explore:-The eyewitness accounts of the three priests on the scene.-The violent physical manifestations that defied the laws of physics.-The chilling aftermath and it's implications for us. If you enjoy paranormal cases and deep-dive supernatural mysteries, make sure to subscribe and turn on the bell icon to never miss a journey Into the Fog. On the 50th anniversary of the classic anti-Christ, demonic film 'THE OMEN', this video, and its religious horror themes, will be a fitting topic to explore. #ActonValePoltergeist #Paranormal #TrueHaunting #PeterLaws #SupernaturalMystery #ScaryStories #GhostStory #CatholicChurch #PoltergeistCase #IntoTheFog #religioushorror Note: I don't currently have YouTube memberships but I do offer extra content and connection via Patreon: www.patreon.com/peterlawsHave a genuine experience to share? Dovey, Spooner, Damo and Adam are all back together in this episode of Thinking Tackle Podcast Uncut. The lads take a look back on a session that produced 18 carp, close encounters with the country's BIGGEST fully scaled mirror carp (aka their target fish), and a fascinating discussion around rigs, presentations, and how something as small as an inch of hooklink length can completely change the outcome of a session.A week at The Manor, plenty of bites, and a few moments where it genuinely felt like the lake's giant, fully scaled mirror was only one mistake away from getting caught. From fishing clay spots amongst heavy weed to spotting the big fish over the baited area, there were plenty of moments where confidence was sky high - but the result everyone wanted remained just out of reach.

For a lot of us, professional footballer is the dream career. Would you agree? But say the contract is for £40K a year and a footballing career typically ends when you're in your 30s. You'll have to find another career sharpish. The decision to go pro is perhaps more complicated when you're just going to get a 'decent' wage - and maybe high-level part-time football (often pretty good money) is the better option. In that context, it was fascinating to speak to with Gloucester City midfielder Joe Hanks. The pain is still there after the club's PO final loss. But optimism is growing.I found Joe particularly interesting though on life as a policeman and part-time footballer and that tricky dance for some on the edge of pro football. To go pro or not to go pro? That is one question. ************For more in-depth feature interviews like this please visit and subscribe to the Sport and Life website: https://sportandlife.co.uk*************Chief Sponsor: Bang & Olufsen Cheltenham: https://stores.bang-olufsen.com/en/united-kingdom/cheltenham/unit-15-the-courtyard-montpellier-streetInfo on Sponsor Offerings: For 15% off Herring Shoes enter the code SPORTANDLIFE at checkout at - https://www.herringshoes.co.ukFor 30% off Cytoplan supplements for your first purchase at https://www.cytoplan.co.uk and a 10% discount ongoing: Check out the intro to the podcast. For a 10% discount with GHS Cheltenham Clinics' Health Checks - https://ghsclinics.health, contact me: teddy@drapermedia.co.uk

Jon Palmer has followed Cheltenham Town Football Club since boyhood. He's reported on them professionally for more than two decades for The Gloucestershire Echo and Glos Live.So if Palmer tells you the 25/26 season was special, you take notice. In this conversation we reflect on the remarkable story of Steve Cotterill's comeback. The FULL Uncut team are back with Damian Clarke joining Tom Dove, Neil Spooner and Adam Reed for a chat that goes off in a slightly different direction. With Damo back in the room, the lads catch up on a busy few weeks from Spooner completing the London Marathon to a spring that's producing more big carp than ever. But it quickly turns into something else… as a challenge gets thrown out that could see Tom doing something he definitely didn't sign up for. There's also plenty of proper carp fishing chat in there - big fish trends, recent sessions, and the reality of how good (or bad) things have been on the bank.

Chat about school, rugby and more with Gloucester fly-half Charlie Atkinson.I enjoyed this conversation which includes Charlie taking up football and rugby early in childhood and how football maybe lead to him zeroing in on the fly-half position. Also discuss the sadness of Charlie's first club Wasps going to the wall and Charlie's teenage conflict over whether to become a pro player or continue his studies at university. Charlie is a lovely guy and I'm glad that while it's been a difficult season for Gloucester, it's been one where he's strengthened his claim on the 10 shirt. We also discuss Charlie's debut for England in the USA.To follow Charlie on Instagram: @charlieatkinson_ ***************Chief Sponsor: Bang & Olufsen Cheltenham: https://stores.bang-olufsen.com/en/united-kingdom/cheltenham/unit-15-the-courtyard-montpellier-streetInfo on Sponsor Offerings: For 15% off Herring Shoes enter the code SPORTANDLIFE at checkout at - https://www.herringshoes.co.ukFor 30% off Cytoplan supplements for your first purchase at https://www.cytoplan.co.uk and a 10% discount ongoing: Check out the intro to the podcast. For a 10% discount with GHS Cheltenham Clinics' Health Checks - https://ghsclinics.health, contact me: teddy@drapermedia.co.uk
I walked into a world of nostalgia recently. Fitszoo in Regent Arcade, Cheltenham is a store devoted to vintage fashion and, of particular excitement for me, old football shirts. I was surrounded by the shirts of my youth with the legends of the time blazoned on the back.I got chatting to Max Brown, the founder that day and was gutted to learn the store is soon shuttering - Max is relocating to London and planning open a Fitszoo there. But the shirts are still available online to Gloucestershire folk (and everyone) online so Max and I recorded a podcast conversation . Given that Max is 22 is knowledge and passion for 90s and 00s football is sensational. I enjoyed this conversation and I hope you do too. We covered:** Why Max started collecting vintage shirts (and clothes generally)** How it started in his dorm at boarding school ** Why Park Ji-sung is his favourite player ** Why short-sleeve David Beckham shirts are way less valuable than the long-sleeve ones** Max's dream shirt** Why modern shirts are a poorer quality than those made pre 2010.Find out more about Fitszoo: https://fitszoo.com****************Chief Sponsor: Bang & Olufsen Cheltenham: https://stores.bang-olufsen.com/en/united-kingdom/cheltenham/unit-15-the-courtyard-montpellier-streetInfo on Sponsor Offerings: For 15% off Herring Shoes enter the code SPORTANDLIFE at checkout at - https://www.herringshoes.co.ukFor 30% off Cytoplan supplements for your first purchase at https://www.cytoplan.co.uk and a 10% discount ongoing: Check out the intro to the podcast. For a 10% discount with GHS Cheltenham Clinics' Health Checks - https://ghsclinics.health, contact me: teddy@drapermedia.co.uk

Mark Alleyne is a warm and personable man. He also knows a heck of a lot about cricket! Twenty one years a player with Gloucestershire, he tells me, with a smile on his face, that he's now been a coach for longer. In this wide-ranging conversation we cover:* The importance of alerting people to the fact first-class cricket is played in Gloucestershire.* How clubs need to help schools in giving opportunities for kids to play cricket.* How 'baz ball' is a media invention that created a inhibition and nervousness in England's players in the Ashes this past winter.* The magic of The Cheltenham Cricket Festival and how it often determines the type of season the club has.* Fears England selectors overlook Gloucestershire players when selecting squads. * Mark's joy at his son Max making his Premier League debut for Manchester City.I hope you enjoy this one. In this episode of Thinking Tackle Uncut, the lads get into a debate around bait boats. Anglers Tom Dove, Neil Spooner and Adam Reed talk about who's using them, who admits to it, and whether they're getting a bit too much credit (or not enough). This turns into a wider conversation about angling decisions, honesty, and doing things your own way. There's also plenty going on away from that, including more 60lb carp, Spooner's ongoing 50lb challenge, and a new Lac Luna trip where a proper challenge gets set.KONTENDER kordatackle.com/kontenderEmail Entries: kontender@korda.co.uk
