US officials are scrambling to get a critical Baltimore port reopened after a bridge collapse. A fully-laden container ship lost power and rammed into a support of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. They were able to send a distress signal in time for officials to shut the bridge. Ninety seconds later it collapsed, and six people remain unaccounted for. Baltimore port is one of America's biggest, and US correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking that it will take a while to get it back in working order. He says they will have to clear out all the wreckage from the shallow waters first, which will be a massive job. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

When you are facing flood damage, it is critical to get help immediately. Flood damage can be traumatic and devastating, so hiring an experienced team is essential. Flood Damage Restoration specialists can provide the expertise necessary to get your home back in working order. Here are some tips to help you get started. First, evacuate the property to higher ground and turn off utilities, such as electricity and gas. Also, call a plumber and an electrician to check all pipes and appliances before you start repairing your property. Water consists of harmful microbes and can wreak havoc on the structural integrity of your home. To prevent this, emergency restoration crews use sanitizers and eco-friendly cleaners. Some companies even offer odor removal services. Lastly, for severely damaged homes, reconstruction may be necessary. This can include drywall repairs, new carpeting, and plumbing and lighting installation. If these steps aren't completed in a timely manner, a costly lawsuit may be filed. After removing damaged materials, flood damage restoration companies must remove any mold present. Mold growth is one of the most significant consequences of flooding a home. The damage caused by mold is difficult to prevent, but effectively drying affected surfaces is essential. Wet carpets and upholstery should be vacuumed and treated with a special cleaning solution to prevent the spores from spreading further. Once this is done, the area must be thoroughly dried. How Much Does Flood Damage Restoration Cost? If your home or office was affected by flooding, you might be wondering how much flood damage restoration services cost. The costs of flood damage restoration will depend on several factors, including the size of the project, the property's needs, and the location of the disaster. The initial inspection could take six months or more, depending on the circumstances. In some cases, the initial examination will take much longer, as the water may not have dried up completely. Flood Damage Restoration benefits Hiring a professional water damage restoration service is a good idea if you have experienced flooding in your home. These professionals will quickly remove water from your home and dry out the area, preventing mold growth. The first step in water damage restoration is to assess the amount of time you will need to dry out the area. Hiring a water damage restoration service can also reduce the amount of time you need to dry out your home, which can significantly lower the overall cost. Hiring a water damage restoration service is a smart decision because they have the proper tools and training to dry your home quickly and thoroughly. They can also help you disinfect and clean your property, which will shorten the drying time. Flood damage can result in major property damages, including mold, electrical appliances, and other valuable commodities. Floods are extremely dangerous and can result in health risks. For this reason, it is best to hire a professional water damage restoration service to assist you with the emergency flood cleanup in Gastonia. Professionals are trained to deal with all types of water damage. They have the right equipment and training to quickly and accurately assess the extent of the damage. Moreover, they have the training and certification necessary to do thorough water damage restoration. Your credibility is at stake if you hire a service that does not do a good job. This way, you can be sure that your home or business will be safe and dry once again. Contact us:Service Restoration 645 Cox Rd Suite A, Gastonia, NC 28054(704) 312-9470
