Finally, I get every country on a continent correctly, and the countries, Australia, that's it, that's the list! I am so pleased!(What I did get wrong is the Devotional's number!)Today, we begin a series of three devotionals, beginning with the God of all the earth, "For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the LORD of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth." Isaiah 54:5We find:"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1At the creation, God was there - There is no other."…In heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other." Deuteronomy 4:39"Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture." Psalm 100:3"You will say to me then, 'Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?' 20 On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it? 21 Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use, and another for common use?"God Himself answers the question of evil by Himself entering into the evil as our effective propitiation. There is no other sacrifice beyond His. (It's not my thought; I got it from John Lennox.)Our So What?Prayer, our community with God, increases our due deference to the God of all the earth as we are moved by the willing sacrifice of Jesus the Christ. Brethren, let's pray for one another. "What a man is on his knees before God, that he is and nothing more." Is the rigorous pursuit of scientific knowledge compatible with a sincere faith in God? The brilliant, humble, and always well-spoken, Dr. John Lennox, President of The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, joins Frank for a deep and wide-ranging conversation about the relationship between faith and science. From science and philosophy to personal testimony and practical wisdom, this conversation explores just a handful of the many books Dr. Lennox has written over the years, and why he believes Christianity is worth standing up for—no matter the cost. During their discussion, they tackle questions like:How did an Oxford mathematician come to believe that Christianity is true?Who told John that he needed to give up on God if he wanted a career in science and what was his response? What was it like listening to C.S. Lewis give his last lectures? What's the “roast chicken” analogy? Why can't physics and chemistry explain the deepest questions of life? What about the God of the Gaps argument?Do the laws of nature prove that miracles are impossible? What does John think is the best evidence for the resurrection? After living out 70+ years of faith and reason is there anything he would do differently?Listeners will enjoy Dr. Lennox's engaging stories, clever analogies, and practical ways to communicate the Gospel of grace clearly in a skeptical age. la inteligencia artificial es un fenómeno multifacético que abarca desde herramientas prácticas hasta sueños futuristas.

The foundational narrative behind Christ's death, burial, and resurrection is the story of Exodus. But what if the Israelite exodus from Egypt never really happened?

Join John as he speaks with Oxford Professor John Lennox about the intriguing connections between science, religion, and modern cultural shifts. Lennox reflects on how figures like Jordan Peterson have opened the door for renewed dialogue between Christianity and science. He argues that historical scientific pioneers were driven by their faith in a divine lawgiver, a perspective that has regained traction in modern intellectual discussions. The conversation also touches on the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence and society's growing struggle with truth in the age of deepfakes. Lennox emphasises the unique hope Christianity offers through the resurrection of Jesus, contrasting it with secular movements like transhumanism, which promises immortality but fails to address deeper human questions.

Are faith and science opposed to one another, or do scientific investigations sometimes lead us to ask questions of religious significance? How are we to account for the origin of our finely-tuned universe, and how do we explain the complex amount of information embedded in our own DNA? Is it rational to believe in miracles, or the narratives recorded in the Bible? On this episode, Shane discusses these issues and more with Oxford mathematician, John Lennox, author of Can Science Explain Everything?SHOW NOTESBooks by John LennoxCan Science Explain Everything?God & Stephen HawkingCosmic ChemistryGunning for GodFinding Ultimate RealityAgainst The FlowSeven Days That Divide The World2084: AI & The Future of HumanityOther Recommended BooksThe Return of the God Hypothesis, Stephen MeyerCan A Scientist Believe in Miracles?, Ian HutchinsonThe Case Against Accident, Dean OvermanCan We Trust The Gospels?, Peter J. On this ID the Future from the archive, host Stephen Meyer concludes his three-part conversation with Oxford mathematician and philosopher John Lennox on Lennox's new film Against the Tide: Finding God in an Age of Science. Science depends on word, on logos, says Dr. Lennox, meaning the rational intelligibility of the universe. Francis Crick, co-discoverer of DNA, wished to disprove the need for God, but the language of DNA has turned out to be a signpost to an intelligence, Lennox contends: a logos behind nature. Scientists still claim authority to pronounce against theism, but according to Lennox, such pronouncements come not from science but from a dogma known as scientism. Far from being “science vs. God,” it's really a collision of competing worldviews. Enjoy the conclusion to this conversation and then watch the movie Against the Tide, also starring actor Kevin Sorbo. Dig Deeper Rent or buy Dr. Lennox's film Against the Tide. When examining issues of life, taking diverse and sometimes contradictory stances can lead to new solutions. Listen up to learn: What Christian apologetics relates to What is offered through Christianity How math plays into religion and Christianity John Lennox, Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University (emeritus), shares his view of the Christian faith and how it can intertwine with science and math to uncover some of the enduring mysteries of our species. Different from what it sounds, Christian apologetics offers an opportunity to add the science of spirituality to many debates. Specifically, approaching obstacles in life, especially catastrophic divides, can give new additional context to previously contentious issues surrounding faith. Despite the various opinions of theologians and philosophies worldwide, Christianity offers an opportunity for hope and collaboration. For example, mathematics and Christianity often find themselves at odds with proponents for both sides staunchly disagreeing, but in reality, both can offer answers to benefit the other.
