Brian celebrates his first rave review on The Blowers, and Judson details his experience of the “Solid Gold” exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. The two then welcome to the podcast the inimitable JIMBO the Drag Clown, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars Season 8 and current star of Drag the Musical off-Broadway. JIMBO talks about his journey from behind-the-scenes artisan to realizing his dream of starring in a musical, his family life with his partner and two stepkids, his education as a clown and how it brought him to drag, the support of his mom, and how a sex-themed office party he attended as a child inspired his looks today. JIMBO also expresses the shock of his first time being called ‘Daddy,' his feelings around competing with Pamela Anderson for Madonna's attention, and recounts the story of how he came to be in possession of his prized Madonna memento. He then helps Judson and Brian respond to a Go Ask Your Dad question from a listener who feels lost about how he fits into the gay dating ecosystem.

The Greatest Season That Was - The Final Frontier episode 3 – Damien Fleming: During the last Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Australia, the pulsating summer of 2020-21, The Greatest Season That Was pod focused its attention on the relationship between the cricketing giants over the decades, some 20 years from the staggering 2001 encounter in India. The previous time the sides met was in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney during the season of 1999-2000. Determined to build something special under Steve Waugh having just won the World Cup, they were on a roll and determined to, as our guest Damien Fleming puts it, sing the song after every Test that summer. Steamrolling India, they did just that. At the peak of his powers then and there, the swing ace spoke with Adam, Dan Brettig and Shannon Gill about the series before the epic. It's Story Time, our walk through cricket history via your listener quiz challenges. This week, how did Warney nearly become the PM's XI captain? Via texts with the PM, of course. It's a fixture we spend some time on, including going back to Bradman and Lillee's final Australian fixtures. But what about the tie The Don was captained just before his mighty First Class career ended? This is riveting stuff for both Adam and Bharat Sundaresan. Also featured: the epic end to Bill Ponsford's Test career, Larry Gomes' tremendous record in Australia, the West Wing cricket bat from the Queen and the glory days of the ODI tri-series. A fun show. Season 17, Episode 9: A career total of just 10 Test Matches belies the imprint made on the game by Alex Tudor. A quick bowler who burst onto the scene in an Ashes series and made his presence felt right away, he was always good enough to mix it with the best. Injuries curtailed his international career, but his love for cricket – and continued involvement in it – has never ceased. He spoke with Adam and gave a feel for the lovely company he will be on Ambassador's Cricket Legends Cruise in December along with Graham Gooch, Jonathan Agnew and Henry Blofeld. Season 17, Episode 8: The format of the World Test Championship has been a stick to whack it with since day dot. However, the unintended consequence of the model in place has become a feature not a flaw with five teams now in the hunt thanks to New Zealand's stunning three-nil victory over India. For the first time in a long time, Adam has Izzy Westbury (from an undisclosed location) with him to consider what this all means along with McDreamy McSweeney's McMentum, the first Women's FTP, the ball tampering incident that wasn't and a great deal more. The Greatest Season That Was - The Final Frontier episode 2 - Gavin Robertson: During the last Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Australia, the pulsating summer of 2020-21, The Greatest Season That Was pod focused its attention on the relationship between the cricketing giants over the decades, some 20 years from the staggering 2001 encounter in India. Three years earlier, the dynamic was very different with Mark Taylor's side put to the sword by the hosts in the first couple of Tests by a series of supreme batters in the form of their life. But one bowler who found a way to make it work was a journeyman spinner, Gavin Robertson. His story was a beauty: from the Centrelink queue to a terrific Chennai debut, he made every moment count. He told the tale the Aussies' 1998 tour, and his life in the game, to Adam, Dan Brettig and Shannon Gill. Enjoy all eight parts of this series across the next couple of months. It's Story Time, our walk through cricket history via your listener quiz challenges. This week, our love affair with Wangaratta grows through the story of a journeyman in the wickets against the Windies. With Daniel Norcross with Adam, long answers are inevitable and roads less travelled too – what would Australia be like had Matthew Hayden taken the chance to run for parliament? A rare triple header is tackled ton as well – a new number revisit and confirmation all in one, with (Plucka) Ducks, (Vasbert) Drakes and (Jon) Davison together at last. Season 17, Episode 7: It's a complicated cricketing universe – more by the month. But the joys of a Test Match, however unexpected, remain unrivalled as we saw in India and Pakistan this week. For this conversation, Adam has fellow romantic Bharat Sundaresan with him. They start with a hectic week of speculation in Australia (along with retirements, contracts, collapses and suspension cessations!) ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. They then drift into a circuitous lap around the world. And spliced into the middle of all this, Geoff Lemon files an update from the US election campaign trail. Season 17, Episode 6: Before Ben Duckett boarded the plane to Pakistan, where he started in blistering form, the England Test opener sat down with Adam and Geoff in London. On the cusp of turning 30, he's in all probability at the mid-way point of his career and never been more established as an international batter. Having first came across Duckett in a tour game nearly a decade ago, the conversation goes to that period of his career, when he first banged the door down to earn England Test caps in his early 20s, through to difficult times in the wilderness, a change of county and forcing his way in a second time. They can be noisy. And smelly. And, as Cate Blanchett (yes, Cate Blanchett!) complains, don't they just move “leaves from one place to another, only for them to be blown back again"? Gas-powered leaf blowers create a lot of opinions and a lot of emissions. Molly Segal takes us through why they're so particularly polluting and unhealthy. And, she explores the solutions underway — from political bans to incentives for switching to electric.
Season 17, Episode 5: David Warner is at it again - available for selection! But no, that won't be happening. There's nobody better to be co-hosting with Adam than Alex Malcolm from ESPNcricinfo, who is across every inch of the Sheffield Shield at this fascinating time of the year. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (08/07/2024): 3:05pm- On Tuesday night, Kamala Harris introduced her Vice Presidential pick—Minnesota Governor Tim Walz—while appearing at a campaign event at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA. Will Walz provide any sort of electoral advantage in the 2024 presidential race? Examining Walz's 2022 gubernatorial race, NBC election analyst Steve Kornacki concludes that Walz relied heavily on traditional Democrat voters—and didn't have much luck appealing to rural voters or moderates. Videos of Walz making outlandish, far-left statements are now circulating throughout social media. In one clip, Walz explains that socialism is synonymous with neighborliness. While speaking at the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party Convention in 2018, Walz told attendees that his pro-abortion stance was so radical that even former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) suggested he should moderate his position. In perhaps the most damaging audio, Walz can be heard claiming “there is no guarantee to free speech” if the government determines it is “misinformation" or “hate speech.” 3:15pm- Director of Public Prosecutions of England and Wales Stephen Parkinson explained that the United Kingdom will criminally punish citizens that repost messages that the government deems “hateful.” He also explained that he will appropriate “dedicated police officers” to monitor social media. With Democrat Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz having stated that the First Amendment shouldn't extend to speech the government considers “misinformation” or “hate speech,” could similar laws restricting speech be part of the Harris-Walz campaign's platform? 3:20pm- JD Vance Accuses Tim Walz of Lying About Military Service: Caitlin Doornbos and Josh Christenson of The New York Post write, “veterans have accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz of “embellishing” his military career and abandoning his National Guard battalion, highlighting that the now-vice presidential pick for the Democrats never served in combat and retired from service ahead of his unit's 2005 deployment to Iraq. In a letter posted to Facebook in 2018 as he first ran for governor, retired Command Sergeants Major Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr said Walz retired from his 24-year tenure in the National Guard after learning that his battalion would be deployed to Iraq, despite allegedly assuring his fellow troops he would join them.” You can read the full article here: https://nypost.com/2024/08/06/us-news/tim-walz-embellished-military-career-for-years-dropped-from-national-guard-unit-ahead-of-iraq-deployment/ 3:35pm- On his way to a campaign event in Wisconsin (a state where Kamala Harris is also actively campaigning), JD Vance walked up to Air Force 2 on the tarmac to speak with reports—noting that he was willing to answer their questions while Harris continues to avoid them. 3:40pm- While appearing on Fox News, Donald Trump called the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket the “most radical” in U.S. history. 4:05pm- Scott Presler—Executive Director and Founder of Early Vote Action—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his tireless fight to make sure Pennsylvania goes “red” in November. Pressler also reacts to Tim Walz becoming the Democrat Party's Vice Presidential nominee: “Kamala Harris just chose the most regressive, far left…candidate.” You can learn more about Early Vote Action here: https://earlyvoteaction.com/about/ 4:25pm- Cancel Culture Fail: Zach Jewell of The Daily Wire writes, “Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker signed a 4-year $26 million contract extension on Monday, making him the highest-paid kicker in the NFL on a per-year basis…The three-time Super Bowl-winning kicker sparked outrage after telling the graduating class that his success was all because ‘a girl I met in band class back in middle school would convert to the faith, become my wife, and embrace one of the most important titles of all: homemaker.' During the address, Butker also slammed Pride Month and President Joe Biden's pro-abortion policies.” You can read the full article here: https://www.dailywire.com/news/cancel-culture-fail-harrison-butker-signs-deal-making-him-highest-paid-kicker-in-nfl 4:40pm- Reacting to the Harris-Walz rally in Philadelphia, MSNBC host Joy Reid accused Donald Trump of being a “weird guy that's in Mar-a-Lago”—and claiming he wants to “turn the whole country into Mississippi.” 4:45pm- Could Rich ever forgive Ben Affleck for ruining Batman? 4:50pm- While appearing on Fox News, Donald Trump called out Kamala Harris for her past pledge to ban fracking. She now claims she isn't against fracking, but should anyone believe her? 5:00pm- JD Vance Accuses Tim Walz of Lying About Military Service: Caitlin Doornbos and Josh Christenson of The New York Post write, “veterans have accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz of “embellishing” his military career and abandoning his National Guard battalion, highlighting that the now-vice presidential pick for the Democrats never served in combat and retired from service ahead of his unit's 2005 deployment to Iraq. Johnson meticulously details Tim Walz's many failures while serving as governor of Minnesota. Johnson writes: “Tim Walz has such a bad record as Minnesota's governor that I was astonished when he landed on Vice President Kamala Harris's vice-presidential shortlist. As Minnesota's Center of the American Experiment has documented, under Mr. Walz Minnesota has become a high-crime state. Student achievement has tumbled as spending on schools has skyrocketed. Per capita gross domestic product has fallen below the national average. Minnesotans have joined residents of New York, California and Illinois in fleeing their home state.” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-minnesotan-sizes-up-tim-walz-progressive-vice-president-crime-education-covid-e4e757ec?mod=opinion_lead_pos5 5:20pm- Will Tim Walz's presence on the ticket provide any sort of electoral advantage to Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race? Examining Walz's 2022 gubernatorial race, NBC election analyst Steve Kornacki concludes that Walz relied heavily on traditional Democrat voters—and didn't have much luck appealing to rural voters or moderates. 5:45pm- NBC News Washington Correspondent Yamiche Aclindor reports that the Harris-Walz campaign is “not engaging on whether or not [Tim Walz] was falsifying his military record.” 5:50pm- While speaking with Robert Costa of CBS News, President Joe Biden said he is not confident there will be a peaceful transfer of power in January 2025 if Donald Trump wins the 2024 presidential election. 6:05pm- Dr. EJ Antoni—Research Fellow in The Heritage Foundation's Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the recent stock market slump. On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell over 1,000 points. Meanwhile, Japan's Nikkei plunged 12% —the largest drop since the Black Monday crash in 1987. Rich wonders if the global market is reacting to the wide-spread perception that Kamala Harris could win the 2024 presidential race? 6:25pm- According to reports, New Jersey officials are actively seeking to ban gas powered leaf blowers state-wide—with the ambition of enacting the new law before trees shed their leaves this fall. 6:35pm- A Philadelphia resident named Dave bought a billboard to help him find a date—emphasizing his ability to cook and his cat named Peach. According to Dave, he has already received thousands of direct messages on Instagram. 6:45pm- David Gelman—Criminal Defense Attorney & Surrogate for Donald Trump's Legal Team—joins The Rich Zeoli Show. Will Donald Trump have his sentencing trial in the New York City “hush money” case prior to election day on November 5th?
