Living Victoriously in Christ by Connect Church SA
When our world feels chaotic and uncertain, it's easy to become overwhelmed with our circumstances or fears. In that place, we might temporarily forget the love, power, and presence of our God. Scripture tells us our enemy, the devil, roams about like a roaring lion, but as today's guest reminds us, our God has the loudest roar. He reigns victorious in ever situation, including those that leave us anxious and afraid. We battle burdens that Jesus wants to carry for us. We weren't designed to fight anxiety, stress, depression, fear, insecurity, and more on our own. Let't find the rest Jesus wants to give us. New sermon series, “The Battle Within,” starts Sunday, Feb. 16.
Living victoriously does not our lives are perfect but it is about embracing the challenges in our lives, understand our identity in Christ and walking in the victory that is already ours.

Today is our last episode in the Becoming the Bride Series. Living Victoriously is a journey of faith. We are victorious, because Jesus was victorious. Victory can n=only be found in HIm. We can't do it alone. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 says: “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” In order to live victoriously we must understand who we are in Christ and ALL that entails. It will require us to deal with the victim mindset/spirit. In the final epsiode of this series today, Amie and I discuss these things and more. Plus I give some steps for getting free of the victim mindset and walking it out so our faith can be counted towards us as righteousness. At the end of each episode, I will have an activation exercise that will help us activate each week's topic. If you have missed any episodes, including the summer series titled: Equipping the Bride Series I invite you to go back and take a listen.

Thank you for joining us as Ps Russell digs into the Victory element of our MOVE series. To dig deeper, read Luke 19:1-10This week we discussed ‘victory' in our series on ‘Love on the Move'. Our key statement in this series states that “love moves as divine mercy intersects with the opportunity of human need, bringing redemptive victory through encounters with Jesus and His Kingdom”. We began by reading the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19, where Jesus' words and actions released heaven's victory into Zacchaeus life and the life of his city. As exciting and important as that encounter with Jesus was, it got me wondering… what was life like for Zacchaeus some time later? How difficult was it for him to continue to live in victory when “his friends had became his enemies, and his enemies had become his friends (perhaps), and now nobody trusted him?” What, in fact, did living in victory look like for Zacchaeus several weeks later, and additionally, what does the Bible have to say about living victoriously? In Romans 8 Paul describes us as “more than conquerors”, a phrase that speaks of victorious living. He says that the Spirit helps us in our weakness; and that trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, or any form of danger cannot separate us from the love of Christ. In fact, God works in all things for the good of those who love him (including those aforementioned troubles)! We are called to not only “conquer” such adversities; they even work toward our good (that Christ be formed in us). In Romans 12 Paul goes on to describe this overcoming/conquering life… Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Be devoted to one another in love; honour one another above yourselves; be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer; share with the Lord's people who are in need; practice hospitality. This is the victorious Christian life - a life where we “conquer” (with the Spirit's help) adversities such as selfishness, pride and arrogance. All this in the midst of various trials and troubles. This is the calling that Zacchaeus was to live in response to, as are we. Real victory is conquering our old self by putting on the new.REFLECTION QUESTIONS1. Recall a moment in your life when you experienced a moment of God's victory in your life. Take a moment to give thanks to God for all he did at that time. 2. Take some time to reflect on how you have previously understood and articulated the victorious Christian life. What does “living victoriously” mean to you? Then, if you have the opportunity, read Romans 8 followed by Romans 12 to get a sense of what Paul is saying about when he says that we are “more than conquerors”. 3. Think of some examples from this past week where it was a challenge to live victoriously. Spend some time reflecting on how you can partner with the Spirit to “overcome evil with good”.Thanks again for joining us. We often need to be reminded that God's will for us is perfect happiness. This includes meeting our every need. “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” It, therefore, should be our good pleasure to receive it. And by expecting it, we are demonstrating our gratitude (good pleasure) for the kingdom in advance. On this episode, Darrell and Ed highlight the truth that gratitude, not fear, opens the door to our greater good. “He's aligning us, and He's removing all inferior definitions and establishing us in the truth and establishing us in our capacity to move in power and authority from our union with Jesus, living awake on the inside, consciously aware that He is within us 24/7.” - Liz Wright In this powerful episode, Liz takes you into an activation toward a deeper experience of living victoriously with God. The Lord is doing something so transformative in this current season, pouring out fresh revelation and awakening us into who we are and who we're called to be. We're being aligned on the inside into divine consciousness. We are no longer being defined by the world's standards or by our circumstances; we are being defined by and established in His absolute truth. He is expanding our capacity to move in power and authority, constantly living fully aware of His presence and power within us. Liz shares both from Scripture as well as fresh revelation she's received from the Lord. We were created to govern the earth in full partnership with the Father, walking in His perfect redemption, restoration, and authority. We are His perfected vessels, and He desires to move in us and through us upon this earth. We were meant to experience His fullness, just as Adam experienced His fullness in the garden of Eden. He is awakening us in this hour to take our positions as sons and daughters, co-reigning with our Father in the fullness of all that He's given us. He's raising His government into position. We were meant to live victoriously through the power of the cross, and He is establishing us in this powerful truth. We know who we are, Whose we are, and why we're here. There's no question about it. We're coming into position to reign with the Lord, steward His power within us, and fully trust Him. The Lord is releasing His presence, strength, and authority upon a people who are hungry for more of Him. Don't let your circumstances overwhelm you, but rise up today as His son or daughter, and get ready for a fresh impartation of truth, revelation, and power. Related Materials: For many years many have believed that we have a big God battling a big enemy. But the truth is the victory has already been won, and you have full authority to live victoriously from a place of rest because of your identity in Christ! Prepare to have your faith activated and your heart filled to overflowing as you move even deeper into the heart and ways of God. You are about to discover the secrets of living victoriously from the seat of rest. https://courses.lizwright.org/courses/armchair-warfare
