Today, I am reading you a private journal entry I wrote to myself at the end of July. Since practicing breathwork daily three times a day, I have noticed that I am able to connect to myself better, which has led me to writing with more clarity. This letter is about love. Channeled from me, to you. Enjoy!
Knowing your values, helps you know your value, which helps you break old patterns. Your values help you understand that 'no' is a fully sentence. And helps you clarify what a 'yes' is for you. Breathwork has helped me see my patterns clearer, like how I have a fawn response to stress (maybe you do too?). Today, we're talking all about values, breathwork (regulating your nervous system), and perverted ghosts. Yes, perverted ghosts tie into this equation...
On the episode I reveal I'm not a bath person. Shocking, I know! Mostly, this is an episode about releasing the sticky icky thoughts we can have by letting them be information. How writing a letter you never send can help give you clarity. And, I also let you know why I became a breathwork coach. It's deeply personal.
Is curiosity the cure to what's getting in your way? Your mind is a tricky little place. When you're holding yourself back or telling yourself that you can't do something, whose voice is it? Don't believe everything you think about yourself & what you're capable of. I believe in you!
By following my heart and going for a marathon hike in Spain, I learned a thing or two. When you say yes to aligned adventures, somw pretty magical things unfold for you. The growth from this can't be quantified. I can't wait to push past more of my edge is healthy ways.
There's a struggle between your head and your heart sometimes. A lot of it has to do with safety. Do you feel safe within yourself or within the world. It's a foundational feeling we make so many decisions from. So are you limiting yourself or embracing the unknown? This is a lesson I learned after confronting a massive amount of fear. And how it was the best gift I have ever given myself. Listen to my story about hiking the Cami de Ronda in Spain and maybe, it'll inspire you to say yes to your dreams, too.
Let's talk about the biggest mistake I have ever made and what the heck that has to do with my old belief system, or a story about a red thong.
Learn from my corporate baddie speed bump. Part of figuring out my next chapter led me to a corporate job that was not it, boo. And, it taught me valuable lessons I'm sharing with you. Like about how speed bumps are part of the pivoting process. They're meant for you to learn the lesson once and to move forward with more tools under your belt. I teach you a trick to avoid the desperate feelings we can have when we're in something that's not the right fit and how to help yourself overcome them, so you don't end up settling by taking whatever just comes your way.
Sometimes we exist between two truths. We can find ourselves between our values and our actions not aligning with one another. I think this is where awareness can come in and help us bridge the gap between the two. We can't change things we aren't aware of. This is how we start to move towards finding ourselves and alignment with our next chapter in life.
Adressing the elephant in the room - I cry in this episode. They're tears of relief. They're part of the accepting of and releasing of the fear and pain that come up when you begin to start to make changes in a direction you're super passionate about. I want to be transparent with that because it's not all sunshine and rainbows when you're working on designing a different life. It's in fact 100% something you will encounter on your way, and it's showing you just how close you are to being in alignment with the next chapter of your life. Can fear become your friend?
Intermission is done and the curtains are opening for the second act of your life. This is what the podcast will be about moving forward - the next chapter. Listen in to hear why the topic of pivoting and starting over is so important to me and why I believe it'll help us both create more intentional lives. Are you ready for your next chapter to be your best one yet?!
What's the second act of your life look like? Are you being intention with your time? How are you spending it? Let's talk about it.
Do as I say, not as I do. Today we talk about how I'm your sloppy life guru. And how no one is going to take care of you, like you.
Family can be the worst. So I decided to tell you a silly 3 minute story to help you erase any of the irritability you feel. Holidays, am I right...
In order to create connection should we be more vulnerable? Is loneliness a lack of intimacy? Have you asked someone permission before you take a huge emotional dump on them? If you haven't, it might be a good thing to consider before letting your feelings loose. We don't find peace in a vacuum, we can find it in the midst of chaos. Listen to the end to hear some of the tools I use to help center myself.
Stretching your limits also means embracing a new identity. Even if you're working towards something you're excited about, your limiting self beliefs can come in in an effort to sabotage you, to try to keep you safe. You can stretch yourself, you can grow. In this episode I give you a fun little metaphor to carry with you as you're changing your life.
Let's chat about how weird it is to be a woman. Like how you're too much and not enough at the same time somehow. I talk about this ever so present theme (and more) that the movie Poor Things highlights so well. AND about how Emma Stone should win every award known to man, (I'm looking at you, Heisman & Stanley Cup) Whatever, you get the point - just give her all the awards, ok?!
You can't know me, unless you hear this memory. A five minute episode about one of my all-time most awkward, yet favorite moments as a human.
Being a beginner can be tough. Even if the activity is something you've been dreaming of or wanting to try. No one wants to be a sloppy mess at anything, but that's tough to avoid when you're new. I'm going to tell you my experience about being a beginner and why it's so important to put yourself in uncomfortable situations.
No, seriously, what is love? What's the difference between like and love? What does "loke" mean? On this episode I dive into one of the biggest, most complicated topics; love.
Are we meant to be living this way? Is it that you're lazy or is it that the way society operates makes no sense? Are we living the ultimate gaslighting experience? If you could create society, how would you design it?
If I didn't close out the year with an episode I am dedicating to my friends, I'd be a real piece of poop. My friends helped carry my bum through one of the most challenging years to date. They supported me in ways I am forever grateful for. They made me feel safe to be myself. What more can a lady ask for? It makes you realize how important it is to find the people that give you the space to be who you are, without any judgment. If you're having trouble finding your people, is it because you're not truly being yourself? It's a behavior I'm familiar with, and am learning to let go of. Listen in to hear how it hasn't been an easy road to get here, but the pain I went through paved way for authenticity.
I fire walked. Let me just tell you, I have never felt that empowered in my life. If I could wake up and start my day like that, I would. It gave me insight into myself like nothing else ever has. Tune in to listen to the stories I have around letting go of the layers that aren't actually me, and why that matters so much. You get one life. Just one. How are you going to step into yourself and live it as you?
Listen in as Rachel Varitimos and I chat about astrology. Like all things in this world, everything is either a dick or a vagina, even in astrology. In all seriousness though, Rachel is an expert on this subject. She gives me insight into my life because she knows my chart. She's the coolest. So sit back and relax or listen while you're on your walk, making dinner. Maybe don't let your kids hear what we're saying...Too naughty for the little ones ears.
Did you know, according to sharks, humans are the cheese of the sea? This is a quote from a dream I had last night. Speaking of dreams, are you building your own or are you building someone else's? Listen in as I chat with you about shedding the BS and going for what you want in your life.
A pattern I have noticed is that I explain myself to people. But why? Why am I seeking their approval on my life choices? Or why am I trying to explain myself to someone who's already made up their mind about me or about a situation? All it does is give your power away. Give it a listen!
I'm leaning into my authenticity. I'm leaning into living in alignment with who I am. Using my body to give me feedback on how I feel. And allowing any emptiness I feel to indicate how I want to expand. Are you feeling an expansion coming your way too?
On today's episode I'm talking about wants, and needs. Are you even aware of what they are? I'm in the process of figuring mine out. Maybe you are too? Or maybe you haven't even thought about them at all and it's the link between living a life you're satisfied with or one that you've settled for...
A promise I made to myself this year was to use my voice. So here I am, doing exactly that. Get to know me a little better by listening in. This is part intro and part talking about boundaries. Let's go!!!
Growth feels wrong. It feels wrong because you're doing something you've never done before, so it shocks your nervous system, and sometimes it shocks the people around you too. It's hard leaving the familiar. But just because you're comfortable with where you are, doesn't mean you're meant to stay. I'll tell you why in the episode.
I really need to make an intro episode because I haven't properly introduced myself. This episode is about the relationship you have with yourself, about self imposed restrictions, and knowing it's hard to move past the stories we've created for ourselves, so we can have better futures. This is really the advice or whatever that I need to hear. I don't edit this (yet), so you'll hear me pause for too long, stumble over my words, and hear my Alexa alert me to a package that's been delivered. Enjoy!
How many times have you heard there is a lot of power in sharing your story? I know I have heard this message time and time again. So, I am sharing mine with you. This is the most vulnerable I have been, (in such a public way). But I think it's important for us to share ourselves in an honest way. We make so many assumptions about other people's lives without knowing how they've gotten to where they are. Or why the act the way they act. A lot of moments make up who we are in this world. We're all a bunch of stories mashed up into one. It's what makes life so beautiful and interesting. It also lets us know we are more a like than we think.
On this episode I share my vulnerability around being a newbie at things (including this podcast), and I share about how a lot of that has to do with ego. It's difficult being comfortable with being uncomfortable. But that's where the growth happens.
Today, I'm talking to you about how more women need a platform to be heard. There are so many incredible women living boldly, and unapologetically. I want to hear their stories, and share their stories, so you can feel empowered to dream big too.
Letting you know the direction of this podcast, and how much I love Walden Pond.
Today, I am talking to you about how it's OK to not be OK.
Today. I talk about feeling self conscious or conscious of self. And about how that is not only normal, but an opportunity for growth.
This episode is about looking for the evidence of love. Does love exist?
On this episode I rant to you about my recent misencounter, and tell you about how my social stamina has decreased because of the pandemic. Maybe you can relate?
Have you ever felt like everyone else is just luckier than you? Has it ever held you back from taking a leap of faith? I get it. Today I want to talk to you about the idea of creating your own luck. Today also happens to be my birthday! Yay! Thank for listening!
