They discuss the complex emotions of longing, grief, and fear of vulnerability that arise from such experiences. They offer insights into recognising and addressing historical patterns of attachment, the importance of self-reflection, and the necessity of open communication with partners. But what if fear isn't your enemy? What if it's actually pointing you toward your purpose? In this deeply transformative conversation with bestselling author Mary Marantz, we explore how the experiences that once made us feel underestimated—and the relentless drive to overachieve—can keep us stuck in cycles of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and fear-fueled productivity. Mary and I unpack the myths of not-enoughness, talk about the parts of ourselves that try to protect us from failure, and offer a new path forward: one where your gifts and your story become your superpowers. Get ready to look at fear differently, reclaim your confidence, and learn to move forward—not from a place of proving, but from a place of purpose. In part one of this two-part conversation, we walked along the edge of paradox where effort gives way to ease and the search itself becomes the obstacle. In this second part of my conversation with Zen teacher Henry Shukman, the way begins to reveal itself, not as something we grasp, but something we live. We talk about awakening, the collapse of separation, and what it means to encounter reality directly beyond language, beyond self. And we find ourselves circling the same mystery from different directions, Henry through the Zen path and his app The Way and me through a new project with Rebind, which is a new AI powered dialogue with the Tao Te Ching. Different forms, different longing to meet life more honestly, more fully and more whole.Discover a Deeper Path in Meditation – Looking for more than just another meditation app? Like this line: “If you look to others for happiness, you will never be happy. If your well-being depends on money, you will never be content.“Simple. Clear. Actually useful.I've teamed up with Rebind.ai to create an interactive edition of the Tao—forty essential verses, translated into plain, everyday language, with space to reflect, explore, and ask questions. Ideas That Make An Impact: Expert and Author Interviews to transform your life and business
3 big ideas discussed in this episode: BIG IDEA #1: You need to define what success means to you specifically. Stop chasing everyone else's dreams and start creating your own. BIG IDEA #2: Uncertainty is an opportunity. While everyone else is caught up on what's happening in the world around them, focus on what you control. Success comes to those who focus on living from the inside out. BIG IDEA #3: Take aligned and intentional action every day. Everyone says they're so busy but are you busy doing things that really matter? If the actions you're taking aren't in alignment with your definition of success, you'll never succeed no matter how hard you work. As he opens up, he reveals how his path led him through alcohol dependence, severe anxiety, and ultimately a near-death experience in his late twenties. But it was during the isolation of the pandemic that everything changed. A sudden panic attack became a divine wake-up call—one that sparked an inner shift from chaos to clarity.Shahid recounts the moment of stillness that led him to discover Bob Proctor and the life-changing power of mindset work. That weekend became a turning point, marking the beginning of his journey into personal development and spiritual awareness. He also shares how a later diagnosis of being on the autism spectrum reframed his life; instead of seeing it as a setback, he recognized it as the source of his deep intuition and unwavering focus. From running a successful medical clinic and franchising business in Canada to stepping away from unfulfilling work during COVID, Shahid followed his inner calling to help others awaken their own power. Today, he's on a mission to guide entrepreneurs, business owners, and anyone ready for change to reconnect with their true selves through mindset transformation. This episode is a moving reminder that even the darkest moments can be a divine setup for your life's true purpose.Website-Shahiddurrani.comSocial Media Links/Handles-https://www.instagram.com/officialshahiddurranihttps://zez.am/officialshahiddurrani

For more than a decade, Darren Walker has led the Ford Foundation — and has been singularly focused on inequality. Why? “Because I want little boys and girls, wherever they are, if they're living in housing projects in the Bronx and they're Black or brown or they're living in rural towns that have been ravaged by opioids, I want them to be able to dream, and to feel as I did, that America wants you to succeed,” he says. On this episode of View From The Top: The Podcast, Walker joins Kailash Sundaram, MBA '25, to discuss his approach to grantmaking, why character trumps credentials, and what philanthropy can do — and what it can't.From actionable insights — “start with a clear vision, mission, and strategy” — to the how of making big career pivots before the golden handcuffs tighten, Walker shares what he's learned about identifying your purpose, leading without losing yourself, and carrying humility into every room you enter.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Is your faith more complicated than it needs to be? In this episode of "Courageous Christianity with Richard Mendelow," host Colonel Richard Mendelow (Ret) and his wingman Christy Mendelow address how faith has been made unnecessarily complicated—by culture, by confusion, and even by the Church. If God’s Word is clear, why are so many Christians unsure of what to believe—or how to live it out? What happens when we drift from what God has plainly said? Maybe the real challenge isn’t figuring it out—but choosing to follow what’s already been revealed. Drawing from military principles like Commander's Intent and foundational Biblical truth, Richard and Christy cut through the noise and get back to what God actually says in His Word. What lies have you accepted as truth? What if the real answer has been right in front of you the whole time? The enemy is in big trouble! The Lord is releasing many of His daughters from their wilderness seasons. They are exiting the wilderness with the honey of His supernatural provision dripping from their lips as they lean on their Beloved with testimonies burning like fire in their bones. If you have such a message, then this episode is for you. You are not alone, sister. We are a rising army of the Lord's daughters who are no longer afraid, willing to be silent, or intimidated by the enemy's tactics. Whoa unto those who have slandered you, falsely accused you, and manipulated you to remain silent—no more. In this conversation, Heather Sudbrock discusses the importance of clarity in one's message, drawing from the struggles of the prophet Jeremiah. She emphasizes that a true message is birthed from divine inspiration rather than personal feelings and urges listeners to confront their fears and uncertainties. The conversation explores how to identify and articulate one's message, the challenges of sharing it, and the transformative power it holds for both the speaker and the audience. It's time to roar your message and voice and launch it from your own podcast and platforms. 00:00 The Power of Your Message 02:50 Jeremiah's Struggles and Divine Calling 05:58 The Burning Message Within 08:53 Finding Clarity in Your Message PS. I had a coach once upon a time, and he told me that our greatest strengths are often our greatest weaknesses. I think that applies to creators because we are so creative that we easily get inspired by new ideas. We've proven to ourselves time and time again that we can create something out of thin air. So when we have a new idea that we get excited about, it can be tempting to dive all in on that idea, which creates this challenge: if I have a bunch of ideas, how do I choose where I should allocate my time and resources? The core problem here is that if you don't know your destination, it is impossible to get directions. This great saying says you can get to where you're going just by following the length of your headlights. You don't have to see the entire road to get to a place. So, just this past week, I was speaking with a member of the lab. The question was, I have options A or B, so which one should I do? And I asked this person, imagine it's three years in the future. Everything went as well as it possibly could have. What does that look like?
