We all have a purpose in life, and the only way to truly bring that purpose to life is by taking action. When it comes to achieving our goals and dreams, one of the most important things we can do is seek out community support. Although it can be intimidating to reach out and ask for help, it is essential to our success. Having a supportive community around us can make a world of difference in our ability to achieve our goals. The importance of community is something my guest, Lauren Cosgrave learned. Lauren is a Renaissance woman with a diverse background. She spent 11 years in the US Navy, she's a mom to two young girls, knitting queen, and currently works at Google in the San Francisco Bay area. In life, it can be difficult to understand and recognize our truth and desires. We often get stuck in our everyday routines and forget to take a step back and reflect on what we truly want. However, it is essential to take the time to recognize our truth and desires in order to live a fulfilling life. My guest today, Dynasty Taylor, found that one way to recognize her truth was to embrace the darkness. The darkness isn't meant to be scary, but rather a place of clarity. Dynasty is a service-focused Social Worker and Program Director with a strong commitment to serving the needs of disadvantaged youth and adults, including homeless, emancipated youth, and special needs populations. Dynasty is a locally known African American Social Worker (ACSW) born and raised in South Los Angeles. At the age of 23, she became the CEO and Founder of a (501c3) community-based non-profit organization called Dynasty's United Youth Association that has provided free educational, career, and mental health programming to at-risk youth ages 5-18 for the past nine years. Everyone has a creative spark within them, but sometimes it can become dimmed or forgotten. We can reignite our creative spark by being mindful of where it has dimmed and allowing ourselves the space to reignite it. We can also give ourselves the space to explore our creative passions, whether that be painting, writing, or any other creative activity. My guest today, Lisa Maberry is a mixed media artist, mother, and human resources professional living and creating in Seattle, Washington. Self-taught, painting has always been a place for her to return to in times of transition or when the demands of work and life began to cause a disconnect. As her work evolves with the seasons, she finds comfort in sweeping landscapes and the rest that comes with a smaller value range. Botanicals, vegetation, still life, and architectural landscape satisfy her curiosity in the interaction of light and shadow- while personal subject matter brings meaning and gratitude to her practice. Where are you disconnected from your roots? How can you reconnect to your roots and to what is true for you? One of the most important aspects of self-discovery is reconnecting to our roots. By understanding our past and our family history, we can gain a better understanding of ourselves and our place in the world. When we take the time to reconnect to our roots, we can gain a better understanding of our identity and our purpose. This can help us to better navigate our relationships and create meaningful connections. At 17, Michelle was diagnosed with epilepsy and told she'd have to take some prescription drugs that really messed her up for life. A few years later, she saw a holistic practitioner on a whim and a prayer with a side of cynical eye-roll. She hasn't had a seizure (or taken anti-seizure medication) since. Now Michelle uses her background in tech, experiences with health, and mystical practices (Head Witch In Charge, duh) to make well-being less stigmatized, more normal, and more accessible. "Allow it to flow. Share the wisdom that's through your lineage. Share the stories. You don't need to count on books for everything. Basically, while books have information, you have the information. It is literally within you." In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. How intuition can be used to optimize business growth and reach more people 2. The significance of time being an illusion and how it can be leveraged 3. How a content creator can cultivate enough confidence and belief in their message to reach their ideal audience Links and Resources: Connect with Mari Follow Mari on Instagram Send Mari a message on LinkedIn Connect with Michelle Follow Michelle on Instagram Listen to The Twelfth House

Season 1 Episode 1 If you're looking for clarity on who you are and why you're here, Life Activated is for you. In this first episode, I talked about my story of learning about my gifts and truly believing in myself. I started having psychic experiences as a child - either seeing visions or having reoccurring dreams. I never told my family about these experiences, but they were always with me. When my father passed away, I had a knowing that he was okay. This was the beginning of my journey to understanding my psychic gifts. I started researching coaching and shadow work and realized that I wanted to help others who were struggling as I had been. This was a turning point for me - I realized that my gifts were real and that I could use them to help others. "We think our gifts have to show up in some kind of major way. It can just be a slow burn. It could just be an unfolding. It doesn't have to be something fancy.” In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. How a person's astrological sign and human design type can help them understand themselves better 2. What it's like to be a highly intuitive person, and how that can manifest in different ways 3. How coaching and shadow work can help people who are struggling with difficult life circumstances Links and Resources: Connect with Mari Follow Mari on Instagram Send Mari a message on LinkedIn Flying Bear Farm & Design
