Sirios Resources CEO Jean-Félix Lepage joins MSD's Ian Wagner in Frankfurt to discuss the Cheechoo gold project in Quebec's James Bay region. Lepage outlines the project's nearly three-million-ounce resource, including an open-pit component grading above one gram per tonne with a low strip ratio. He also discusses the company's recent financing, a planned 25,000-meter summer drill program, a resource update expected before year-end, and a PEA targeted for the first half of next year. Sirios trades on the TSX-V under SOI.
Sirios Resources Inc CEO Jean-Felix Lepage joined Steve Darling from Proactive at the company's OTC studio in New York City to talk about the company's upcoming drilling campaign at its Cheechoo gold project in the James Bay region of Quebec. Lepage outlined how Sirios Resources is transitioning into a more development-focused company as it advances the resource-stage asset toward a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) planned for next year. During the interview, Lepage explained that the company is preparing for a significant drill campaign focused on expanding the existing resource at Cheechoo. He said the company plans to have “three drills on site from early June” to complete the first phase of a 25,000m drilling program. According to Lepage, the objective is to grow the current resource while maintaining the project's quality ahead of future technical studies. Lepage noted that Sirios Resources is concentrating most of its efforts on Cheechoo, describing it as the company's main asset. While the company continues to advance its other projects in the background, approximately 90% of its work this year will focus on the Quebec gold project. The CEO also discussed the importance of increasing awareness among US investors while visiting the company's OTC studios in New York City. He said Sirios Resources is continuing to build recognition for both the company and the Cheechoo project in the US market, adding that investor response has been encouraging so far. #proactiveinvestors #siriosrsourcescorp #tsxv #soi #otcqb #siref #jamesbay #GoldMining #Cheechoo #QuebecMining #GoldExploration #MiningStocks #JamesBay #JuniorMining #GoldProject #ResourceExpansion #DrillingProgram #MiningNews #CanadianMining #OTCQB #PreciousMetals

ANGELA'S SYMPOSIUM 📖 Academic Study on Witchcraft, Paganism, esotericism, magick and the Occult
Why does Paganism attract so many LGBTQ+ people—and how are queer practitioners reshaping Pagan traditions from within? In this in-depth episode, Dr Angela Puca draws on extensive academic research and ethnographic evidence to explore the powerful intersection of queerness and contemporary Paganism. We'll examine why decentralised structures, ritual flexibility, and the sacralisation of the body make Paganism particularly resonant for queer seekers. From feminist Wicca to trans-inclusive magical circles, and from the mythic play of the Minoan Brotherhood to the controversies surrounding Dianic Witchcraft, this episode uncovers the theological innovations and spiritual practices that queer Pagans are creating. Drawing on scholarship by Sarah Pike, Melissa Wilcox, Robert Wallis, Martin Lepage, Kathryn Rountree, and many others, this lecture explores topics such as gender alchemy, ritual storytelling, queer reinterpretations of myth, and the embodied politics of magical practice. It also problematises the gender polarity model in traditional Wicca and explores how LGBTQ+ practitioners are queering divinity itself. Join us for a critical and compassionate conversation about how Paganism becomes not only a refuge for LGBTQ+ individuals but also a space of radical religious creativity.CONNECT & SUPPORT

Welcome to Supreme Court Opinions. In this episode, you'll hear the Court's opinion in Bissonnette v LePage Bakeries Park St., LLC. In this case, the court considered this issue: To be exempt from the Federal Arbitration Act, must a class of workers that is actively engaged in interstate transportation also be employed by a company in the transportation industry? The case was decided on April 12, 2024. The Supreme Court held that a transportation worker need not work in the transportation industry to be exempt from coverage under Section 1 of the Federal Arbitration Act. Chief Justice John Roberts authored the unanimous opinion of the Court. In Circuit City v Adams, the Court held that Section 1's exemption covers “transportation workers” based on the characteristics shared by the specific categories of “seamen” and “railroad employees” mentioned in the statute. In the more recent Southwest Airlines v Saxon case, the Court rejected an “industrywide” approach, emphasizing that the focus is on the work the individual performs, not the industry of their employer. The Court reasoned that imposing a “transportation industry” requirement would lead to complex line-drawing problems about what counts as that industry. Moreover, the statutory text and precedent do not support limiting “seamen” and “railroad employees” to particular industries. While there is a legitimate concern that Section 1 might be read too broadly, transportation workers play a direct and necessary role in the interstate transport of goods, ensuring that the exemption remains appropriately narrow. Therefore, the appeals court erred in compelling arbitration solely because the workers were in the bakery industry. The opinion is presented here in its entirety, but with citations omitted. Since Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, state courts and legislatures have grappled with its legal and policy implications, especially as they pertain to abortion and IVF. In LePage v. Center for Reproductive Medicine, for example, the Alabama Supreme Court held that frozen embryos should be regarded as “children” for the purposes of Alabama’s Wrongful Death of a Minor Act. And in Planned Parenthood v. Mayes, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld an 1864 law that bans all abortions in the state except those deemed necessary to save the life of the mother. These recent rulings have been highly criticized by commentators on both sides of the aisle, and they raise important questions about the legal status of IVF and abortion in the wake of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. For example, in both cases, the courts interpreted the law in accordance with textualist principles, and the state legislatures swiftly enacted measures to address the state supreme court decisions afterward. Are these cases therefore examples of the proper allocation of powers, where the judiciary says what the law is, and the legislature is tasked with implementing policy? With the question of abortion being returned to the legislative process post-Dobbs, do these cases invite more thoughtful dialogue about abortion and IVF policy, or do they sow further acrimony? Were these cases rightly decided? Can we articulate a legal standard vis-à-vis abortion and IVF that is both thoughtful and conceptually consistent? In what ways do abortion and IVF interact, both philosophically and legally? Please join us as we discuss these issues and others with some of the leading scholars in this space.Featuring:Prof. I. Wtf just happened with frozen embryos, fertility clinics and IVF in Alabama?? Get ready for the un-true crime, sci-fi Jesus saga of LePage v Center for Reproductive Medicine. As in, the case behind the Alabama state supreme court's ruling that frozen embryos for IVF are “EXTRAUTERINE CHILDREN” in a “CRYOGENIC NURSERY” and therefore are full-ass people?? Cristen ragesplains how this anti-abortionist legal buffoonery happened, the fetal personhood of it all and why “save IVF” is a bait and switch. Learn more about your ad choices. Alabama's IVF ruling. Last week, Alabama's Supreme Court ruled in favor of a group of couples suing an Alabama storage facility under the state's wrongful death law after their frozen embryos were lost in an accident. The groundbreaking ruling, in a case dubbed LePage v. Center for Reproductive Medicine, P.C., treated the embryos as children who should be afforded certain legal protections, a theory championed by some anti-abortion groups that has now gotten its first validation from a major U.S. court. Episode 1008 Today we are serving up a tasteful pairing of radically destructive activism from one supreme court with a refreshing adherence to basic Constitutional law from another. We start in Alabama, where the state's highest court just found with no any apparent legal, factual, or moral justification whatsoever that a few hundred frozen cells are legally equivalent to a "child"--because God, probably? Unclear! We then review a recent example of the U.S. Supreme Court doing exactly what it is supposed to do: reviewing and unanimously reversing an obvious Constitutional violation, in this case one which put a man who had been acquitted on mental health grounds at risk of the death penalty. 1. Alabama Supreme Court's decision in LePage v. Center for Reproductive Medicine, P.C. 2. Ketanji Brown Jackson's decision for a unanimous court in McElrath v. Georgia, 601 U.S. ____ (2024) [PDF] 3. A case in which the Court will decide whether, to be exempt from the Federal Arbitration Act, a class of workers that is actively engaged in interstate transportation must also be employed by a company in the transportation industry.
On February 20, 2024, the Supreme Court will hear argument in Bissonnette v. LePage Bakeries Park Street LLC. The court will consider whether the Federal Arbitration Act's exemption for the employment contracts of “workers engaged in interstate commerce” applies to any worker who is “actively engaged” in the interstate transportation of goods, or whether the […]
