Just as a distracted athlete loses their edge on the track, a distracted heart in the Temple renders a holy act invalid. How does cultivating deep presence change the weight and meaning of our actions? Listen and find out.

Lynn McTaggart has spent decades studying the science of intention. Her global experiments show measurable changes in pain levels, anxiety, fertility, blood markers, and more, all driven by group focus, not individual action. But what's most profound is what Lynn discovered along the way: healing becomes more powerful when it's done together. Her research reveals that we don't just affect others with our intention, we also transform ourselves. And the real key isn't selfish manifestation… it's altruism. This conversation will challenge everything you think you know about health, energy, and connection. Because the truth is, we were never meant to heal alone. Season 09 Episode 08: Sankalpa - The Power of Intention and GratitudeWARNING: This episode refers to victim impact statements after tragic circumstances – we advise listener discretion. The podcast team are elated that the Magpie referenced in the S09 E07: Trading Up - Work in the Sex Trade recording was successfully freed to the wild. Sara admonished, “I don't know what Trajce was doing – I think he was trying to negotiate with the Maggie to usher in its surrender.” However, the escapade allowed the team a break from the serious stuff and see the comical side of life. “I set my intention daily,” Sara explained, “and today was about joyous laugher with you both.” Sara shared her yogic philosophy on Sankalpa, setting an intention at the beginning of the day and, later, reflecting on the day with gratitude. The boys, Alan and Trajce, struggle with the concept until the pause to reflect on their quality time with their respective partners. This episode explores personal reflections as Sara gears up to share her news in a future episode, and the team relate the ideas of simple pleasures to intentional leadership, design, and victim impact statements - something which Trajce has written about extensively.
Send us a textCan group intention really heal, influence biology, and change reality? In this episode, we explore the science of collective consciousness and focused intention with investigative journalist and bestselling author Lynne McTaggart (The Field, The Intention Experiment, The Power of Eight).Lynne shares compelling evidence from large-scale group intention experiments showing how human consciousness can measurably affect the physical world — from biological changes in plants to improved health outcomes and reductions in community violence. Designed with independent scientists, these studies challenge conventional ideas about mind, matter, and healing. We trace Lynne's journey from sceptical reporter to pioneer of intention research, and break down what actually works: why specific intentions outperform vague wishing, why short 10-minute intention windows are most effective, and how collective focus supports nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, and healing.Lynne also introduces The Power of Eight®, a simple weekly practice where small groups focus intention for one person at a time — often producing remarkable physical, emotional, and psychological shifts. The takeaway is practical and empowering: consciousness connects us, and when aligned with clarity and compassion, intention can heal and transform — personally and collectively.Ready to test your mind's reach? Her intentionality — from diagramming cuts backstage to producing cinematic-level videos — caught Chrystofer's attention and ultimately led to a dynamic collaboration that has accelerated both their careers.Together, they've built a brand known for its signature aesthetic, creative integrity, and high-value educational content. Their chemistry, built on trust and shared values, has made CBC Productions synonymous with quality and innovation in the global hair community. The conversation also explores the deeper side of leadership and creativity — wellness, boundaries, and surrounding yourself with the right people. “Your intention is your superpower. It's the energy that turns thought into performance, belief into action.” — Dr. Toper Taylor In this groundbreaking episode of the Turmeric & Tequila® podcast, host Kristen Olson sits down with Dr. Toper Taylor—Emmy-winning producer, entrepreneur, intention researcher, and former Hollywood executive—to explore the intersection of human performance, quantum physics, and personal transformation. Dr. Toper shares insights from his pioneering dissertation, “The Human Performance Intention Experiment,” which scientifically demonstrated how positive intention can enhance athletic performance. From producing over 15,000 TV episodes to exploring subtle energy sciences and now serving in politics, Toper's journey is a powerful reminder that authenticity, intention, and interconnectedness are key to both personal and collective success. There may be other exciting applications of intention, such as business innovation and health improvement. Dr. Taylor is an expert in media, entertainment, and consumer products. He is a pioneer of family and kids educational entertainment, having produced over 15,000 episodes of television and won awards for his work with authors Marc Brown, Maurice Sendak, Tim Burton, and William Joyce. In this thought-provoking episode of Warriors Unmasked, Chuck Thuss welcomes Dr. Toper Taylor—a seasoned executive, media innovator, and now, intention researcher—on a mission to explore the scientific potential of human thought. With a career rooted in global brand building and entertainment leadership, Dr. Taylor now turns his curiosity toward how our minds shape reality and how intention can impact human performance, mental health, and our overall experience of life. Chuck and Dr. Taylor dive deep into what intention truly is—beyond casual goals—and how it exists as energy that can influence people, outcomes, and even performance across great distances. Drawing on compelling real-world experiments, including a study involving Division I athletes and the use of remote intention to boost performance, Dr. Taylor shares how powerful the mind can be when harnessed intentionally. They also explore practical applications for mental wellness—how our thoughts broadcast energy, why we need to be aware of our mental patterns, and the ripple effects of sending positive intentions daily. Whether you're a skeptic or a believer in quantum fields and consciousness, this episode offers valuable insights on how to become more intentional, more connected, and more in control of your thoughts and actions. If you've ever wondered whether your thoughts really matter—this episode just might change everything. ✅ 6 Key Takeaways from This Episode: Intention is more than just a goal—it's energy that can influence outcomes. We are all interconnected through what science calls the "quantum field." Experiments show that directed intention can improve athletic performance, even remotely. Your thoughts are like broadcasts—most of us send out negative energy without realizing it. Training your mind to think positively can improve both your own well-being and that of others. Daily practices of focused intention can build mental strength and create ripple effects in your life. Overstretching, underrepresentation, and pressure from every direction… What's really happening behind the scenes in competitive dance? John Corella sits down with Sharmila Mitra, a longtime friend and respected voice in the dance world. She's a competitive dance teacher, studio owner, and a Pilates and Gyrotonic instructor who's helped dancers heal, grow, and stay in the game for the long run. She's also the author of “The Power of Intention for Dancers,” and her story is one many in the industry will recognize: pushed hard, stretched beyond her limits, and told her work was “too ethnic” to compete. John and Sharmila dig into some hard truths: Is a dancer's flexibility more important than their physical safety? How do we stop celebrating movement that could be damaging our joints for life? Sharmila shares how overstretching as a young dancer led to long-term injuries and why she's passionate about giving today's dancers a better way forward. The two also talk about how Pilates, intention-setting, and proper cross-training can shift the entire experience of competitive dance. Can winning mean more than just a trophy? What if dancers were encouraged to check in with their bodies, not ignore what hurts? This episode is a must-listen for teachers, parents, and dancers alike, especially anyone who's ever questioned the way things have always been done. You'll walk away with a fresh perspective, a few strong opinions, and maybe a little more compassion for the kid struggling through warm-up. Do you believe that intentions can bring about change? Do you know that the power of focus can help others heal as well? Lisa continues the conversation today with best-selling author and researcher Lynne McTaggart. Lynne talks about the importance of being very specific when setting intentions and how science is now measuring the results. Today Lynne and Lisa talk about the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles and conduct a live Intention Experiment to specifically ask for the fires to stop, with no more loss of life or property as people have lost so much. We can intend for the community to join together to rebuild, and for all people and animals to remain safe. Lynne is an award-winning journalist and author of four significant books exploring quantum physics, spirituality, and health, including “The Power of Eight,” “The Bond,” “The Intention Experiment,” and “The Field.” Lynne is also the architect of the Intention Experiments, the largest mind-over-matter experiments in history, and co-founder and editorial director of What Doctors Don't Tell You (www.wddty.com). Today she discusses the astounding results of her “Power of Eight” groups and how when people come together with a common intention and focus, remarkable changes can occur. Lynne examines the importance of altruism. People who do things for other people live longer and happier lives. Scientists have studied how people who live a life of service tend to have stronger immune systems. She further discusses her Power of Eight Groups and how individuals heal after they focus on healing others. Lynne also discusses her upcoming global Peace Intention Experiment, her largest one so far, which will be held at the Gaia studios' Gaiasphere on February 1 near Boulder, Colorado. They will be studying data from a specific area prior to the experiment. Intentions start working right away, so Lynne will reveal the specific area immediately before the experiment starts. Do you believe that setting an intention can bring about change? What if there were scientific findings to show that intentions can really work? What happens when an intention is sent toward an area or group of people? Best-selling author and researcher Lynne McTaggart is our guest today and she explains about the importance of being very specific when setting intentions. Lynne is an award-winning journalist and author of four significant books exploring quantum physics, spirituality, and health, including “The Power of Eight,” “The Bond,” “The Intention Experiment,” and “The Field.” These books are worldwide bestsellers which have been translated into 27 languages. Lynne is also the architect of the Intention Experiments, the largest mind-over-matter experiments in history, and co-founder and editorial director of What Doctors Don't Tell You (www.wddty.com). Today she shares stories of Intentions Experiments ranging from studying peace intentions with Arabs and Israelis to slowing the civil war in Sri Lanka to stopping violence in extremely crime-ridden areas such as St Louis, Missouri. She talks about the various credentialed scientists she has worked with and how they analyze the data. Lynne also discusses her upcoming global Peace Intention Experiment, her largest one so far, which will be held at the Gaia studios' Gaiasphere on February 1 near Boulder, Colorado. They will be studying data from a specific area prior to the experiment. She is not able to disclose the target area in advance because it has an affect when people start to think about it. Intentions start working right away, so Lynne will reveal the specific area immediately before the experiment starts. Lynne talks about how she started the Intention Experiments in 2007. After realizing the amazing results, she decided to experiment with small groups of 8 people. She was expecting them to have a nice, “feel good” effect, but was astounded as she studied the results they had on one another by focusing on each other's intentions. Personal intentions began to manifest, especially after focusing on someone else's needs. The intentions wielded powerful results. Lynne and Lisa also talk about the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles and conduct a live Intention Experiment to specifically ask for the fires to stop, with no more loss of life or property. People have lost so much. We can intend for the community to join together to rebuild. Intention is your main source of power. If you can consciously choose your intentions you can create reality in front of your own eyes. Of course, with this knowledge we will caution you to choose wisely. All intention setting has its effect. Most of the effect is on you - the one who sets the intention. As you begin to shift your intentions from all others to the one truth - the intention to love, you will find that most of your problems and challenges dissipate and vanish. Intending will produce what you are intending - but primarily in its energetic form. Whatever you intend is what is coming to pass. If you intend to harm, you are creating harm whether or not you perceive of a physical manifestation of that harm. The harm does not even need to land on the object of your intending to have been created and chosen. Even if you are sending harm because of your blindness to your own intentions, perhaps because you are unaware of your distortions in this direction, the harm is still being created in this time-space reality. It is this reason that we suggest that if you were to focus and be aware of only one thing in this experience it would be the root of your intending. Harness your ability to see what your intention is with every word and action and then discern if all of those intentions are in alignment with the love that you are. Any action or thought that does not match the high frequency of love will be highlighted by your emotional dissonance with it and then you have the opportunity to realign and choose love instead. For love is you tapping into yourself, your true nature and will. This love, this giving, this generosity and this willingness is changing you into more of who you truly already are. It allows you to expand your heart, and in expanding your heart, you are expanding the heart of All-That-Is because it is all One. In the awareness of shifting you.
