God wanted to IDENTIFY with us in our STRUGGLES.God wanted to set an EXAMPLE OF HUMILITY for us to follow.God wanted to DEMONSTRATE HIS POWER.God wanted to make a statement of INCREDIBLE LOVE FOR YOU.

Indications of the wise men's HUMILITY.They were INTELLIGENT and yet, TEACHABLE.They were WEALTHY and yet, SPIRITUALLY SENSITIVE.They were from an advanced CULTURE, but they were still interested in FOREIGN AFFAIRS.They were MEN and yet they STOPPED AND ASKED FOR DIRECTIONS.They were GROWN ADULTS and yet they worshipped a LITTLE CHILD.2. Indications of the ARROGANCE PRIDE of Herod.Pride is always COMPETITIVE.Pride is often DECEPTIVE.Pride is ultimately VINDICTIVE.3. The take-home lesson of this event is to HUMBLE YOURSELF.
Put OTHERS AHEAD OF YOURSELF.Seek EARNESTLY TO HAVE AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD.Walk IN OBEDIENCE NO MATTER WHERE GOD LEADS.

The more we understand and follow God's REVEALED WILL, the clearer his SPECIFIC WILL becomes and the stronger the SIGNAL of the Holy Spirit within us.God has chosen to PARTNER WITH US to change the lives of other people.The more you OBEY GOD'S LEADING, the more clearly you will be able to DISCERN IT in the future.If you follow God's LEADING, God will lead you out of your COMFORT ZONE.If you are following God's LEADING then close proximity to NON-CHRISTIANS is required.If we're following JESUS, we will be a safe place for SEEKERS to come.As you follow God's REVEALED WILL, the Holy Spirit will specifically lead you into DIVINE APPOINTMENTS to share your faith.

"Christ dependency"1. Contentment can be learned; because you're not born with it.2. Contentment is an attitude you embrace today; it's not a place that you arrive at in the future.3. Contentment is a choice; it's not based on circumstances.
