Patrick Teahan Therapy
The Our Whole Childhood podcast is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon after following Patrick on YouTube for several years. I have always enjoyed his videos, but the podcast takes his insightful and uplifting content to a whole new level. This podcast provides great information and offers a sense of hope and understanding for those who have experienced trauma in their childhoods.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Patrick's ability to break down trauma responses and explain how they can manifest in unexpected ways throughout our lives. His gift of articulating complex emotions and experiences makes it easier for listeners to relate to their own struggles and find solace in knowing that they are not alone. His genuine compassion shines through in every episode, creating a safe space for healing and growth.
Another great aspect of this podcast is the wealth of knowledge it provides. As someone who has been trying to understand my loss and navigate through the pain of a broken relationship, this podcast has been incredibly helpful in providing insights and shedding light on my own experiences. It empowers listeners with knowledge, reminding us that understanding is power when it comes to healing from childhood traumas.
If there was one drawback to this podcast, it would be the frequency of episodes being released. As a dedicated listener, I find myself eagerly awaiting new episodes on a regular basis. While the existing episodes are valuable and provide plenty of content to digest, I would love to see more frequent updates so that I can continue learning and growing alongside Patrick's insights.
In conclusion, The Our Whole Childhood podcast is truly an enlightening listen that offers comfort, guidance, and support for those who have experienced childhood trauma. Patrick's ability to make complicated concepts accessible combined with his compassionate approach creates an incredible resource for anyone seeking healing from past wounds. Although I wish there were more episodes available, I am grateful for the work that Patrick does in sharing his insights with the world through this powerful platform.

Anxiety rarely shows up without a backstory. While this episode is directed at parents who are struggling to understand why their children have gone low or no contact, I think many of you—especially those who have lived through painful or invalidating family experiences—may find it deeply resonant. The disconnect between intention and impact. What real reconciliation actually requires. If you've ever felt like your parent didn't—or couldn't—see the truth of your experience… this may feel like someone finally saying it out loud. And no, I don't recommend sending it to your parents. But I do hope it brings you some clarity, validation, or even peace. Keywords: Childhood trauma, estrangement, no-contact, low-contact, healing.Join the Monthly Healing Community Membership
