Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S14) The Messenger ﷺ: “O Muazh [رضي الله عنه]. A content heart, a tongue moist with Zhikr and a righteous wife - these are far greater than wealth for which people aspire”. The Companions رضي الله عنهم didn't want The Messenger ﷺ to pass away before them. They'd pray to pass away before him. Muazh رضي الله عنه asked, should you (ﷺ) pass away before us, what deeds should we do afterwards? Muazh رضي الله عنه mentioned Jihad, Sadaqah, Fasting, and then mentioned every single good deed. Our Messenger ﷺ gave the same reply: All these deeds are done in abundance [i.e in the times of the companions رضي الله عنهم. One cannot even fathom the level of piety that was present!] There was one deed which The Messenger ﷺ instructed to do: “Remain silent. Speak only when necessary and speak good”. Muazh رضي الله عنه visibly became ill when he was searching for deeds to enter Jannah and to protect him from Hell. Such was his Taqwa - The Messenger ﷺ told him of Nafl fasts, Sadaqah and Tahajjud. They are the passage of excellence!

Financially preparing for death can be made easier than you think. There are seven steps that you should take so you don't leave your family or loved ones with a big inheritance tax. If you're a pet lover, it's natural to want your fur baby to be around forever. Even the thought of losing your animal best friend--a source of constant companionship, unconditional love, and joy--can be tough. And when that end does come, the pain can be truly heart wrenching and even immobilizing. From personal and professional experience, I've found that the loss of a pet--and the grieving process that follows--can be one of life's most devastating and hard-to-move-on-from events. In truth, there is something so indescribably sacred and precious about the human and pet companion bond that our hearts--so stuck in grief--can find it difficult to move on. Yet life calls us to move forward, to find peace, and, in time, maybe even a new friend to care for and love. Join Dr. Carla and NYT bestselling author and pet grief specialist, Jon Katz, who will support us in understanding and healing from pet loss. Topics discussed include dogs, pets, companionship, pet loss, death, support animals, emotional support, loss, grief, cancer, dying, vets, veterinarians, psychotherapy, farms, farm animals, anthropomorphism, connection, love, compassion, awareness, cycle of life, relationships, kindness, perspective, and pain. Please note that this episode contains sensitive material; listener discretion is advised.Emergency Assistance Note: If you or someone you know needs immediate support, please call your emergency services. We delve into the Gospel of Thomas this week, a treasure trove of contemplative inspiration. Have you ever gone through an experience where you simply weren't the same person on the other side? What part of you passed away, and what new quality came into being? Give yourself some space to settle in for this one, and, as Jesus invites, “Come into being as you pass away.” Logion 42, tr. Lynn Bauman Yeshua says, Come into being As you pass away. Upcoming workshop: Thomas will be in Salt Lake City May 15-17 to guide students in embodied practice, meditation and all sorts of surprises! Scholarships and financial aid always available.

A @Christadelphians Video: The Atonement is one of the most amazing themes of the Bible, for it is "the power of God unto salvation". God reveals His wisdom and love for us in providing the Lord Jesus Christ who would not only uphold His righteousness, but be the basis for our forgiveness and redemption. Yet all of this must be more than just a set of principles - rather it must compel us as believers to develop the character and spirit of our Father. In a series of 8 studies, we look at four frames to discover the moral imperatives of the Atonement - The Bad News, The Good News, The Great News and the Amazing News. Study 1- The Bad News: The old needs to pass away (Part 1). A look a God's purpose in Creation and how this brings a vital foundation to all of scripture.SummaryThe video discusses the moral imperatives of God's atonement, focusing on the necessity of recognizing and moving past the old life of sin.Highlights
