A local resident will take to one of the biggest stages on British television this weekend as the Hawkstone Farmers Choir competes in the final of Britain's Got Talent. Gwen Woodruffe is one of the members of the choir, which was originally brought together through Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone venture. Made up of farmers, farming families and people connected to agriculture, the group discovered a sense of friendship and community through singing and decided to continue performing together. The choir captured the hearts of viewers and judges during their audition with a moving performance of Elbow's One Day Like This, earning Amanda Holden's Golden Buzzer and a place in the live shows. Last weekend they secured their place in the final with a stirring rendition of Bastille's Pompeii. Ahead of the final, Laura Sheppard spoke to Gwen about the choir's unexpected journey from rural communities to primetime television, the reaction to their Golden Buzzer moment, and what it means to represent farming families on one of the country's biggest talent shows.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

America's Got Talent (AGT)'s 20th Anniversary Season has concluded!Earlier this year, thousands of acts auditioned for the chance to impress producers. Only a select few were invited by show producers to appear in front of veteran judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Mel B. 10 acts received an immediate ticket to the live shows thanks to the Golden Buzzer.
